Maybe its because Nintendo sucks at advertising their own products perhaps? How many times have you seen a game "directly" distributed by Nintendo actually?

Um...most games out for the PS2 and XBOX are third market companies that sell their products (i.e. the games) to both Sony and Microsoft. For XBOX the only real trademarked and under copyright of Microsoft and its provider I can think of is Halo from Bungie. As for PS2 perhaps Jak & Dakster, Sly Cooper, I dunno... I hardly care for videogames anymore.

Nintendo should give up. They are already in the dump "and" in the hole. Think about it:

  1. The games are horrible (Mario Party 7??? When will Nintendo know that no one buys those anymore?)
  2. The Revolution will intake maybe $1000.00 on it's first year ("IF" it is lucky)
  3. Sales have been dropping since the DS was released before the PSP and thereafter
  4. Can't say anything will compete with the XBOX360, Playstation 3, and PSP
  5. Gamecube is selling for $24.99 US currency on eBay and used game stores (XBOX is at least getting $70.00 at EB Games)
  6. Have way to many Gameboys out there (GBA Micro? And to think they just released a new GBA SP with a better screen)
  7. Graphics don't compete anymore (PSP is smaller, has more options, etc.; while DS has what? A touchpad and semi-improved speakers? Big deal...)

Face it...Nintendo is gone. Unless they can magically bounce back with the overall poor design of the Revolution, I'd say a once good company has fallen to pieces.

EDIT: Yes. iPod is designed by Jobs @ Apple and although he releases way too many models, they actually SELL! I myself own 5 different models and I love how he tries to make it so I can't make my own programs for it. Too bad he never wins. :)

 Unbelievable...I've never seen so much pieces of information that only comes from public rumors and opinions, and nothing concrete at all.
I'm sorry, but if you want the truth, this is exactly the complete opposite of what you're saying there.

1/ The Mario party games are one of the biggest selling games series from Nintendo, and they are often in the top 10 of the games sold in a year...So no wonder why they are making so many sequels.
2/ Just wait & see about this...You'll see that you're completly wrong.
3/ Especially when you see that DS just outsells PSP by around 2 to 1 in all countries...If you want sales figures, just make a little search on the web.
4/ DS already competes with PSP, and very well...In fact, it is the PSP which is in a dangerous situation. As for the revolution, I'm not really looking forward it to be honest, but I know it will be a success nevertheless.
5/ Considering that the gamecube cost much less to produce (especially because it hasn't got a hard drive as in the xbox), it has always cost half the xbox, so I don't see any problem there. BTW, gamecube alone sold more than the two xboxes in the US during the winter holidays...
6/ Yes there are three models of GBA. I've never had one as I'm not interested in portables, but the GBA SP was released three years ago...Not "right now".
7/ Again, DS is a high success, while the PSP is just average in terms of sales and games.

The only thing that I'm disappointing with Nintendo right now, is that they don't support their current home console more than this...They put all of their efforts on the DS. Too bad for them, I know I won't buy the Revolution because of this, I really don't like their current marketing plans.

That last little comment about the PSP being smaller than the Gameboy isn't true.
Gameboys are alot smaller than the PSP. You musn't have seen one outside the box yet because the things a long. They are thin but not smaller than the Gameboy.
They DO have more options like you can set a background, upload pictures from you computer to the PSP, Get on the internet with the PSP, and Buy special Dvd movies that you can watch on the PSP. Im not sure if this is all they can do but i know this much.

PSP has it better over the DS. PSP has better games- and graphics- and framerate- and faster processing- and a larger screen- and can play movies simply by burning DVD-Micros. XBOX- although a Microsoft product- has some good games and fair graphics. PS2 is not the best, but is still better than GameCube.

As for Nintendo products...
`I burned my GameBoy Color (it was a piece of crap so I threw it in our campfire and it made sizzling sounds)
`I traded my GBA SP into the local GameStop and all a mint-condition GBA SP could buy me was one copy of a used DDR game
`Sold Nintendo Gamecube and acessories (which was the biggest waste of 600 dollars imagineable) on eBay for only a crappy 128 dollars
`Mario sucks (what? Is it like for 10 year olds or something? Obviously)
`Pokemon gets really old (what in with a dozen games released- all feeling the same EVERY time. I mean come on! Whats so great about becoming the worlds best Pokemon trainer. Who gives a crap? Not to forget that new pokemon look really sucky compared to the first 150.)
`I'm going to be selling my DS tomorrow on eBay for like 70 dollars. I'll post the craptacular link later if anyone wants it.

FOOTBALL RULES AND MARIO SUCKS lol

One thing (i don't know if you know this or not) about trading in things at Gamestop is that the thing your trading in isn't based on it's price. If you trading in something that's really popular, Like right now lets say Xbox360, you would get alot of money, store credit (whatever you choose) but if you turned in a Nintendo 64 right now you wouldn't get much more than a few dollars. Maybe not even that much

The Ds you could just send to me for free lol

You can say that you don't like Nintendo games, but don't say that "PS2 is better than gamecube" or "PSP has better games than DS" because it is only YOUR opinion and nothing else. Proof is, just like the consoles, there are more games sold on the DS than the PSP, and the figures shows that DS buyers have more games on their console than on the PSP.

600 dollars on a gamecube and accessories?? Are you kidding? The console has never been more than 200 dollars, and has quickly been reduced to 100. And the memory cards on this console are so much cheaper than the ones on the PS2 (40€ here in europe for a PS2 memory card!!! while on the gamecube you can find offical ones for less than 5€...that's also one of the reasons I still haven't got a PS2, this is a steal)
So I really don't see which accessories could have cost you that much, and surely not something necessary.

Mario for babies, well ok, that's your opinion, go play GTA which is so much an intellectual game.

I never cared about the pokemons, never played one. But since they sell very much, they are making sequels, isn't that normal? Every company is doing the same. What have we got : Final fantasy *12*, Tekken *5*, Gran turismo *5*, Ratchet & clank *5* and Jak & Daxter *4* (in 5 years!), Metal gear solid *4*, Pro evolution soccer *6*... See, all companies are doing this. Sony does the same.

Also, if you don't like Nintendo so much as it seems, why did you buy a DS and a GC? That's nonsense. I know for myself that I will never buy any Microsoft console, I never liked them and I have my reasons. I wouldn't buy one of their consoles and then sell it for nothing because I didn't like it.

Ah, and also, Nintendo's hardware is known to be the most resistant, especially compared to Sony's and Microsoft's. Want a proof? (I love that video ):

My friend got an Xbox 360, PsP and a DS for christmas, and she doesn't even play it@ Her parents are in debt and everything!!!

And here, no one can find any Xbox 360 because it is all sold out (very few units were given to the shops)...Either these parents are stupid and can't resist the wish of their sons, or either your friend told lies to you.

Although I dislike football, I still hate Mario more.

As for GameStop, I know that in our state the outcome of a returned item is approximately 71% of the current retail price- which would be about 50 dollalrs for the SP, so I guess it was fairly close.

As for the DS, good luck if you want it. I only used it once and is still on its original charge from December 2004. It will include that craptacular Super Mario 64 DS that I played for five minutes and then gave up because it was boring.
