I love JC's versions of the real dogs. xD
If I were to make my own, I think this'd be Balto. I did draw real Balto and Togo some time back but the pictures are old and terrible and shall not be talked about again. x.x

Well here's my little doodle of him based upon looking at real pictures of him

It's different, surely. Not too crazy about the white around the eyes, but I can see the very dark brown, and I can see how some folks would interpret this based upon pictures of his mount.

This was not meant to show the fictional cartoon Balto in realistic style. It was meant for people to post their drawings of the REAL-world Balto...and he looks nothing like the animated version. You've missed the point of the topic, though this is a nice drawing.

I think not as the topic clearly says YOUR version of the real Balto, though I was rather unaware of what the real Balto looked like I still posted MY version of him. I did not intend for him to resemble the animated version as I waz experimenting with my first try at Realism. This is my version of what Balto WOULD look like not what he did, and if anyone wants to think wrongly then I will simply remove the picture and my post to avoid anymore negative responses which in my opinion I do not deserve for posting something as innocent and non-rule breaking as the picture and a simple description

You don't need to remove the image, Safari. There a lot of people who don't know what the real Balto looked like. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Even I didn't know what the real Balto looked like until someone showed me a picture. Don't worry about it.

Well, if you look at the original post, Zukothecat not only included a picture of the real Balto, but also of her own drawing of him, so I am not sure how you missed that. Did you look at the original post at all? That would have alleviated any confusion, and is something a person should do anyway when participating in a topic which asks for their contributions.

I am not suggesting you necessarily remove anything. That is up to the moderators and yourself. You, however, should not take advice which runs counter to the intent of the topic, but try to follow the topic's intent.

I suggest you try again. And perhaps replace the first image with your new one. I don't think that's unreasonable, or in any way detracts from what you have done already.
