Everyone - Just to let you all know, there is no posting order. Those tend to get on my nerves, so post freely now that everyone has posted. But please don't leave anyone behind!

Bic:// Kat, still slightly shaken up by her hair suddednly changing color, jumped in her chair as the principal's voice sounded into the room. It was a strange thought, but Kat could have sworn that the voice hadn't come from the loud speak, but from somewhere in the classroom. It didn't matter, though, since Mrs. Patterson hurried from the room anyways, muttering something to the class about reading the rest of the chapter on their own until she returned. Kat smirked at Mrs. Patterson, though, as she exited the room. By the time she even reached the office, the bell would ring and this class was not about to sit here and wait for their teacher to return with a homework assignment.

With the coast all clear, Kat slid her desk even closer to Ashton, slightly bumping the old wooden desks together. "You don't think anyone else saw that, do you?" she quickly asked him, her voice pleading for him to reassure her that no one normal saw her sudden change in hair color.



Anya finally focused in on the classroom as the teacher hurried from the room. Anya glanced at the clock and was pleasantly surprised that they only had one minute left of class. Since Riley was the closest person to her, Anya whispered to her, "I'm glad we're all getting together today. I have a feeling we really need to sort out whats going on." Anya had no idea that Riley hadn't noticed Kat's crimson hair when it had happened.



Damian shot a quick glare at Maya, but his gaze could only be broken for a moment before he turned back to staring at the school. Without taking his eyes away from the building, he answered Zach's question. "You know they have to wait for that stupic bell to ring. Then, they'll be out here in seconds." He couldn't help but smile just a bit at the thought that the four of them were so close to finally unlocking the most powerful place in the world. Damian nodded slightly in agreement at Cameron, not really paying attention to the conversation at the moment. He had just taken another look at his watch. Just one more minute....

Alex shifted his desk to be closer to Kat's. He gave her a "flirtatious" wink, a grin spreading over his features. "I saw it, babe," he said easily, leaning back in his chair. He laughed softly, quickly shaking off the flirtatious attitude; he didn't really mean anything by it anyway. It was more of a joke, something done to amuse him. "I don't think anyone normal did though," he assured her, noticing the almost panicked look on her face.

He ran his fingers through his messy hair as he glanced at the clock. Each second was passing way to slowly, seeming to take ten seconds rather than just one. Alex let out a frustrated huff; he hated this. Class was a bore before, but combined with this...it was practically unbearable. He wanted nothing more than to race out of the door and find something to expel the energy trapped inside of him.

Terra, noticing how close it was to the bell, began gathering up her things, stacking her books and binder on top of each other. Realizing the teacher wasn't going to come back in time to give them any more work, she slipped her pencil into its spot as well. She winced, trying to shake off the headache that was continuing to grow. She was randomly feeling the need to be reassured, afraid that someone had seen something...why?

Without really thinking, she reached out through this odd mental link, pushing a gentle feeling of assurance and peace towards whatever the source of this emotion was. Terra rubbed her temples, the headache abating somewhat. She breathed a small sigh of relief, glancing back up at the clock.

Maya glared right back, though her dark eyes contained a slight edge of mirth, barely noticeable. She allowed her gaze to drift back to the ground, staring at the uneven blades of grass. She let out a small sigh; she didn't mind waiting when it was just her, but when surrounded by the impatience of others, it tended to make her a bit fidgety as well. Absently, she summoned a few sparks, the small flames dancing cheerfully across her knuckles.

Seeing that it was finally close to time for the bell. Danny got up and stretched, popping his shoulders, neck, and back with easy. He couldn't have been happier that this class was finally drawing to an end. Even better was the fact that none of the others even cast a passing thought to the "principle's" voice.

And so, Danny was content with that. He started up to the front of the classroom. He wanted to be first out, so he was going to wait by the door. Of course, He wasn't paying attention. His mind was on his sister, who was getting a new puppy for her birthday today. He had fed that fat little yellow ball of Labrador this morning: because his mother had hid it in the garage, so his sibling wouldn't find it.

Because of thinking, Danny hadn't entirely noticed Terra at her desk: until he slammed his knee into the old wooden thing by accident. Because Danny had nearly shattered his knee a couple of summers ago: hitting against that desk send agonizing pain through his whole body.

Danny cried out with a strange sound: it was shrill... loud... And never meant to come from a human. Not with such striking resemblance... To anyone in that class the noise would'e surely been recognized: the sound of a dog yelping in pain.

As he grabbed his knee, he slapped his other hand over his mouth and looked quickly at Terra. It would've been easier to do what he'd seen most kids do to the young albino: walked away as if she didn't exsist. But instead, Danny rambled... "I-I-I... Didn't s-see y-y...I-I...I'm s-sorry."

With that, and the bright blush that'd come to his face, simply from embarrasment. He staggered hurridly to the front of the room. Sinking to the floor against the wall, next to the door. Wincing as he tried to massage knee, but only making it hurt worst.

Dev sat up in his chair, fully alert now that the teacher was out of the room. He glanced around, noticing the other people chattering around the classroom. His eyes wandered silently until they landed on Kat. He watched as a boy, Alex, flirted with her. His icy eyes narrowed as he recalled the transformation of her hair. What if I'm next? he thought. Maybe I'll slip into darkness... Fear suddenly gripped Dev as he realized he needed to get out of this classroom. Without waiting for the bell to ring, Dev shot up out of his desk, making his chair flip backwards. He winced at the loud noise he made and grabbed his backpack. He was about to make a dash for the door when he saw Danny hit the desk. He felt pity as he watched him stammer out and apology and hobble over to the door. He realized this guy wanted and needed to get out just as much as he did. With one last glance at the rest of the class, Dev took long strides to get to the door. "Come on," he hissed, grabbing his arm and practically dragging him out of the classroom.

Riley's attention was snapped back to reality as the strange voice came over the speakers and the teacher left. What did I miss? she wondered, mentally kicking herself for not paying attention, once again. She glanced around the room, people started talking. She saw Alex and Kat in conversation, and watched Dev as he silently scoped out the room. Danny, Jamie, Terra and Ashton seemed to be in their own world too. She jumped slightly as Anya said something to her. It took a minute for Riley to process her words, but as soon as they clicked together a small smile spread across her face. "I know, it'll be nice to finally figure out where we stand in all this. I'm glad I'm not alone," she said, that would be scary.

Zach rolled his eyes at Cameron, not appreciating his comment. "Whatever," he mumbled and folded his arms across his chest, trying to puff out his already muscular arms, trying to make them look bigger. He glanced at Maya, obviously trying to get her attention. He shook his head and told himself to focus, looking back at the classroom, Zach silently wished that bell would ring, he couldn't wait to get out of here.

Ashton had been about to answer Kat's question when Alex interrupted, saying he had seen it as well. "I wouldn't worry about it," he said after a brief pause. Knowing Alex, he'd probably interrupt again. Ashton wanted to give him a second or two to let it out. "9 out of 10 kids in this class are asleep, teacher's gone, and I think us super-powered teens are the only ones with eyes fast enough to notice." He gave a reassuring smile, shaking his head a bit as he said, "Man. Never going to get used to the whole 'super-powered' part."

A yelp came from somewhere in front of the trio, and Ashton soon realized that it was Danny. Oh boy, they really needed to practice the whole camouflage concept... between the group of them, they'd probably end up setting the school on fire or something. Who knew. He watched with slight amusement as Danny stuttered while talking to Terra. He'd have to tease him about that later. Then something else odd happened. Dev rushed Danny out of the room. Ashton blinked, unsure of what to think about that.
