Sympathy and sorrow passed through Celestial's eyes as she listened to Rodney tell his tale of his life. "I'm so sorry," she said quietly, flattening her ears against her head. "That must have been a very awful feeling to be and wander alone like that."

She listened to him as he mentioned on why he wanted to help her find her sister. She smiled weakly and nodded, thankful and happy that she would not be alone and that she would have an companion with her.

"Thank you, Rodney. I understand the fear of being alone, I don't care to be alone either. Its a dull feeling in your stomach that makes you feel horrible and worthless. Yet...my story is quite different from yours. True, I hate being alone....but I have a bigger fear than that."

Rodney respectfully nodded and decided not to pry her further. Something about her voice and in her eyes told him that she had been through some hard situations. Thoughts of Rodney's own past haunted his thoughts as he pondered a moment...

"We should get some sleep. Even if the weather doesn't clear by morning we don't want to be tempted to eat all of the food that we have immediately." he told Celestial as he tucked himself in a ball, being sure to cover his nose with the end of his tail so that it wouldn't freeze. Contently he closed his eyes...

She nodded, quietly, curling into a ball. She buried her face in her tail, closing her eyes to fall asleep. As she began to fall asleep, the loud hiss of the wind outside calmed her, and some where in her conscious mind; her sister was there.

The next morning, as Celestial awoke, she was surprised to see that the blizzard had calmed down and at least everything seem more peaceful that last night. She yawned and stretched, shaking her pelt lightly. Quietly, she looked over to see Rodney still asleep, quietly she sat down and decided to wait for him to awaken.

Sorry that I haven't replied in awhile... I've been very busy.

Note: The first part is Rodney's nightmare. His grandmother is really a very sweet and loving wolf but Rodney has never met her. He only knows her name.

*Rodney saw his grandmother in the distance. Slender and graceful she poised herself in a manner that showed her pride for her pack and alphas. The expression that she gave him was neutral, yet gave off a cold feeling of unwelcome. "Hayley, grandmother, I have searched long and hard for you so that I might be welcomed into the pack of my mother." he gently called out to her. "What? A halfbreed grandson thinks that he can join the pack of his ancestors because he is half wolf?..." Rodney opened his mouth to reply,but she cut him off. "No! You are not welcome here. Go away Rodney and don't try to return." Rodney stubbornly held his ground. "-But I'm your grandson!" "No grandson of mine would challenge the answer of his elders!" She turned, "Young warriors attack the treacherous wolfdog!" Rodney turned and ran as the wolves tore across the snow. They swiftly caught up to him and began to bash his head and sides...*

"Ah!" Rodney shouted as he threw himself awake. Panting he saw a puzzled expression on Celestial's face that reassured him that it had just been a dream. Feeling sheepish for reacting to a nightmare he looked at Celestial. "I had a nightmare about my grandmother not accepting me into her pack once I found her."

(Its ok, don't worry about it. I was kinda busy myself. )

Celestial stared. Her eyes wide with shock and her expression puzzled. "Are you alright? It sounded quite gruesome. I had have nightmares before, but never as this extreme." She stood up, "Perhaps you'll like the rest of the rabbit to calm your nerves down a bit?"

Trying to collect himself, Rodney only nodded. He quietly ate the remaining meat from the rabbit and then turned to Celestial. "I had a nightmare about finding my mother's old pack, but instead of accepting me they attacked..." A slightly troubled expression cast over his face but immediately was subdued by what he saw out the cave entrance. "The blizzard has passed. We can begin our search for your sister now."

Celestial tried to think of an explanation for Rodney, yet none came to mind. Many people in her family and pack had faced troubling dreams before. It usually was to deal with something that they didn't know, or something that they couldn't understand.

She looked outside and nodded. The snow had died down and the only thing outside was the clear white snow.

Smiling quietly to herself, "Come, we can go, and maybe find something to eat. Also, I can see if I can help you with your dreams."
