Darrell looked after Stacy. Honestly, he knew from the moment she suggested it what he wanted to do. He shrugged his broad shoulders. "Hey. Why not, right?" He caught Johnny's eye and winked, as he always did before doing something that some would shake their heads at. He ran out the room and after her down the hall. "Hang on, speedy! I'm comin'!" He stopped beside her and folded his hands behind his head. A small part of him hoped to see Johnny walk after them too. However, he knew it was unlikely. He wondered who else would join them. Derek might. That wouldn't be bad. He liked Derek. Honestly, he liked the whole team. Who could resist liking their group? Well, other than monsters



Johnny sighed and shook his head. He felt bad for not going along since Stacy was so determined but he knew he could probably do more here with the others. He felt a twinge in his stomach as he closed his eyes. He was never completely comfortable with splitting into groups. He knew everyone was trained, smart, and able but he was always terrified of finding someone in an alley like he had found his father. He opened his eyes again and looked at Scotty. "I'm with you, he said. "Let's go see what else we can dig up."



Jaimie shot Rafe a huge, cheesy smile and skipped inside. "Thankfully. If my stomach growls one more time I'm going to kill it." She rolled her eyes and looked around at the others. It was hard to see that they were tired, even though she knew it. She still didn't regret becoming a werewolf, even if it caused her to stay up late and run around when they came into a new territory.

Tyler bumped into Jaimie "accidentally" and grinned. "Sorry, sport. My bad." She grinned and swatted his shoulder. Tyler winked at her then grinned at Zac again. "I do love it when she gets impatient with us." He paused, thinking, then his grin grew. "I do believe I must have a death wish."

Stella walked in Dainty's and grinned at Chelsea. She waved at her and sat down on a stool. She looked over her shoulder at the new group of people curiously. In a town like this it was rare to see a large group of people you didn't know. She cocked her head to one side, intrigued. Who were they?



Drake laughed. "Oh, hush." He grinned at Isa as he ran. He was grateful for the company. He hated doing anything alone so it was nice to have Isa by his side. "We all know I'm probably the klutziest vampire ever to walk this earth." As they passed Cale he grinned and called, "I think you just jinxed yourself, pal!" He grinned at Isa, thoroughly amused by the run.

Lacy wasn't really racing, she was only running. She'd feel ridiculous racing. Although, she had to admit that she was having fun. She just wouldn't say so out loud. She smiled to herself in amusement as she saw Sunny, Isa, and Drake pass Cale. She glanced back at Ashton, who was walking, and decided she had enough running. She slowed her pace and joined him, sticking her hands in her pockets.



Bane jogged down the street. He was just starting to think with his stomach when Dainty's popped into his head. Suddenly, he decided to forget about the lake, for now at least, and go to the diner instead. He was a lot hungrier than he had thought he was. He changed directions, heading instead for the nice little diner where he could fill his stomach. Food sounded better than scenery at the moment.



Joey went to walk outside then stopped and walked into the kitchen instead. When his grandma raised her eyebrow at him he smiled at her, giving her puppy dog eyes. "Can we make cookies now instead?" he asked. She laughed and shook her head at him, gathering the ingredients. He grinned. Yes. His grandmother's cookies always took priority. They were the best things he'd ever tasted in his life. As much as he loved Dainty's, he wanted to spend more time with her. He'd do something out of the house later.

Derek looked from the open door where Stacy and Dare had just left through to his other teammates who were still inside of the room. He decided to go with his gut and followed the other two out the door. "We'll meet again here later," he said quickly before heading off behind them. "So where do we start once we get to the Medical?" he asked Stacy. Since she had suggested going during the day, it was only natural that Derek asked her where they were supposed to get started doing their job.

Janessa watched them go without a word and turned to the other people left. So far it seemed to be just her, Johnny, and Scotty. "Good idea. Though where should we go to start researching? Although we know vampires only go out at night, we also know that they prefer shady places during the day. Anyone got any ideas which location in this small town is darkest during the day?" She looked around at each of them, then looked out the window of the hotel absently, trying to see if there were any spots they could start at.



Zac didn't say a word to Luna but merely shrugged, still holding a smile to his face. It seemed that no matter what Luna said to him, he still couldn't keep a straight face. It was extremely hard to criticize Zac - he was never unhappy. He still held the smile as Luna shoved past him and Tyler twice, and he followed her into the diner only two steps behind. He looked over at the counter where a bell had just rung and was reminded for a split second of the bell of his old school... the one where the kids dared him to go into the woods. He shook his head. It's just a bell. He put the smile back on and looked at Tyler, who had just said he had a death wish. "If you've got a death wish, you can bet I do also." He let out a laugh, then decided to try and look for a table. "Hey, why don't we sit over there?" he suggested, pointing to a table near the windows.

Slash bowed his head in thanks to Rafe, saying, "Thanks," and went to follow the others. He came up beside Zac and looked at the table he was referring to. "Looks good to me. Let's just sit fast. I'm hungry..."



Isa shook her head with an innocent smile on her face. "Oh I don't know about that. I think you're just a klutz on occasion." She gave a small giggle as they passed Cale. "Try to catch up if you can, slow poke!" she called back, grinning.

Ashton was surprised when Lacy stopped running and started walking besides him. Although he knew it wasn't just cause he was walking, he felt obligated to say, "Thanks, Lace." He looked over at the rest of the coven who were racing and having a good time. They seemed to be laughing and having a ton of fun, and yet here Ashton was sulking. He sighed quietly to himself. Why was he always such a drag? "I suppose we should join them in a few minutes," he said absently, thinking that the coven may be heading back by the time they got there at walk speed.



Carrie had already packed her stuff before she got in the car, and she was on her way to Dainty's now. It only took about 15 minutes for her to get there, which was three off from her prediction but pretty close all the same. She parked it in the nearest spot and locked it, leaving her stuff in there for she figured they'd be going to the lake soon anyhow. Carrie entered the diner and spotted Chelsea immediately, giving her a warm smile as a greeting. A ruckus by the front caused her to turn and see a large group of strangers. That was odd... in Night Shade everyone knew each other... it was nearly unheard of for a group of strangers as large as this to be in town. Still, she would have to introduce herself later. Her mind was on other matters.



Travis grinned as he finally found the bacon, putting it in the microwave promptly. "Alright, sounds good! I'll be there in fifty. See ya then!" He hung up the phone as the microwave beeped. He rubbed his hands together and took them out, finding a plate and eating them straightaway. Boy was he hungry.

Stacy allowed herself a small smirk at Dare as he rushed out of the hotel room to catch up with her, but as soon as Derek arrived and asked his question, Stacy's mouth fell back into a serious frown. Honestly, she really didn't have a plan for how the three of them were supposed to search the Medical, looking for a misplaced blood bag box and a doctor dumb enough to be handing its contents out. All the while, the team had to remember that they were dealing with people ignorant of the supernatural, so they very well couldn't barge in accusing anyone of giving blood to vampires. They would probably have the police called on them if they did that. So as she started down the hallway, Stacy merely said, "I suppose we'll figure that out when we get there." And with that, she shoved open the door of the stairwell that only lead downwards to the lobby.



Scotty paused as he recalled the sharp memory of a map he had recently looked out that had NightShade in the middle. It hadn't been a very good source for mapping out the town itself, but it did show where there were patched a forest. "In the woods, I'm guessing, it pretty dark. And if I remember correctly, the southern and eastern part of town are surrounded by woods. May we should start heading south and see what we can find. Or, rather, who we find."



Luna shrugged at Zac's suggested, looking as if she were about to suggest a different table when she strolled towards the one Zac had pointed out and took a seat on the end. There were already plastic covered menus at each seating spot, and Luna took no time picking hers up and browsing through the different burgers listed there.

Rafe nodded at Jaimie and Slash before heading in the diner and closing the door behind him. When he gazed across the diner for an open table, he noticed three pairs of eyes staring at the pack and himself. The one with dark brown eyes disappeared behind the counter for a second before reappearing with a tray of food. She clearly worked here. The other two, the one with green eyes and the one with reddish hair, appeared to be the waitress's friends, or at least knew her well enough to wave and smile. Rafe kept his eyes low as he walked across the restaurant and seated himself across from Luna. Trying not to seem obvious, Rafe glanced up at the three girls every ten seconds or so while he also picked up a menu and pretended to be searching the options for lunch.

Chelsea barely nodded at the people seated at the table she was currently serving as they thanked her for the food, and as she walked away, she heard bits of their conversation which seemed to be about the same thing on her mind: the six new people. Chelsea quickly set down her serving tray and rushed over to Carrie and Stella at the bar seating. "Do either of you know them?" she said in a low voice, leaving out the happy greetings and getting to the important matter at hand.



Cale chuckled at Drake and Isa, pounding his feet on the ground as fast as they would go. "I'll get you two for that!" he called after them, slowly catching up and almost on their heels. When he came up beside Drake, Cale shoved him playfully, trying to knock him down without hurting Drake or himself. Then, Cale came up behind Isa, who could definitely run faster than Cale with her skinner builder, but nothing could beat out Cale's determination at the moment. He caught her around the waist and lifted her over his shoulder.

Sunny slowed down just a bit to look over her shoulder as Cale hurried past with Isa over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. Sunny stopped her running to laugh at the sight and shout after then, "Why does she get carried? There are two ladies in this race, ya know!"



Jackson flew down the sidewalk towards Dainty's when he caught sight of a blonde haired guy walking a couple feet in front of him. "Hey, Bane!" Jackson called out to his friend, using on arm to wave and swerving his bike back and forth because of it.



Nessa tossed her phone on top of the discarded clothing piled up in the center of her room and finally pulled out her new black tank top with a matching zipper hoodie. It would go perfect with her favorite pair of white cotton shorts and periwinkle bikini. Throwing the clothing on her bed for safe keeping, Nessa sprinted across the hall and into the bathroom. She flicked on her hair straightener and turned on the water for the shower in the same second, her excitement keeping her moving at a faster pace than usual.

Dare grinned at Derek and shrugged his broad shoulders. That was definitely a Stacy response. He walked after her. It didn't matter to him, though, he'd follow any of his teammates anywhere. He jogged down the stairs at a quicker pace than was logical. One of these days, he was likely to trip and get hurt. Until that day, he was going to take the stairs at whatever pace he wanted. That was that. "So, anyone else hoping to run into some action there?"



Johnny nodded, though, personally, he thought the tern "what" better applied to the things they hunted. It was a harsh aspect but those monsters tended to be harsh themselves. If they weren't, Johnny might still be at home with his live father. "All right, that sounds like a good plan to me." He looked around the room and stepped out the door. "Let's get moving then."



Tyler sat down beside Rafe and looked at the menu. Immediately, he began looking at burgers. He'd always been a huge meat eater and that had never changed. He settled on a choice and shut the menu, glancing around. He noticed three girls by the counter and gave them a brief nod, not even sure if they saw him or not.

Jaimie sat down beside Luna and flipped through the menu. She had a good feeling about this town. She liked it, even though she hadn't been here very long. She didn't know how the others felt but she hoped they liked it too. She had a good feeling though. She was sure that they'd be here for a while, as long as they didn't run into any hunters anyway.

Stella shook her head, looking over again. "No... I don't know them..." She looked over at them again. "Should we say hi?" she asked quietly. It would probably feel nice to be greeted when you were new to a town. She tore her eyes away from them and looked back at her friends.



Drake laughed as he stumbled. "Bully!" he called after him, laughing. He picked up his pace, determined to catch up. "You are so going down, Cale! Ya hear me?!" He was laughing, however, so his threat wasn't threatening in the slightest. If Drake heard it as someone else, he wouldn't think there was a chance of him catching up. He caught up to Sunny, still chuckling to himself, as he grinned at her then ahead at Isa and Cale. "That doesn't look like the most comfortable way to be carried," he stated. "I wouldn't be too jealous if I were you." He wiggled his eyebrows playfully. "But I'll carry you if you'd like."

Lacy sighed to herself. She had mostly come back for Ashton but she wasn't too amused with running anymore as it was. However, Ashton had a point. "Probably," she agreed. "We'll be way late if we don't..." She gave him a small smile and said, "Just don't make me race, all right?"



Bane looked up and grinned, lifting his hand in greeting. "Hey, Jackson! How are you, man?" He chuckled at his bike swerving. "Don't crash!" he teased.



Joey baked the cookies with his grandma, laughing the entire time. It was amazing how much she could make him laugh by the simplest things. Seeing as he loved laughing, that was one of the best things about living with her. As they got near the end of the cookie making process, he began pondering where he wanted to go. She'd let him go anywhere in town as long as he told her so his options were limitless.
