Seriously, if you can't reply to a topic intelligently, don't post. Newsflash, Mighty, not everyone that comes on this site is intelligent. Be more respectful.

All dogs, even wolves, look similar to one another in some sort of way. That can't be applied to Tramp or Balto since they're not of the same breed. But my point still stands. I don't really see the issue. "Similar" and "doesn't look THAT much like" don't necessarily need to refer to the same thing. Design-wise, they look alike. They both have pretty basic designs. Build-wise, they don't. They're different breeds. So it all depends on how you look at it. Nobody's wrong here, IMHO.

To be fair, that person has spammed SO many topics with virtually pointless posts - quite often necro-ing old topics in the process - so perhaps a better investment of time would be advising them on how to post correctly so you don't need to warn them for spamming.

VERY that.

Well, as long as this topic is still being posted it... Unnecessarily in-depth analysis time! Yay! So here we have a picture of Balto and one of Tramp. Yes, their markings and even coloration look similar...but all similarities stop there. When we break them down into their character builds, they look very, very different from each other: And even without the most obvious difference of the ears and tails, the two are still VERY distinct: Balto has a much, much thicker coat than Tramp, whose fur is very, very short. His neck is also very obviously thicker, partly because of the fur and partly because Tramp just has a naturally thinner neck. Balto also has a slimmer face, as is typical of wolves as well as other wolflike or wild canines, whereas Tramp's is distinctly square-shaped with a very steeply slanted forehead, a characteristic that was bred into some dogs long after they separated from wolves. Balto's back is also straighter (and his body is overall longer) whereas Tramp's curves slightly. And it's not just the looks, either, it's the personality and story. Now, forgive me if I mess up Tramp's personality a bit, as it's been a long time since I watched LatT, but going off of what I do recall... Both dogs were strays, yet they were still in very different positions and had different reactions to such. Balto was a half-wolf outcast constantly teased and picked on by the other dogs of Nome. He wanted to be accepted, to have more companions than just the goose who raised him and the goofball polar bear cubs who hung around. He had his mischievous streak, of course, and seemed to know all the shortcuts around town just fine, but he wasn't much of a troublemaker when he could help it. He had a genuinely caring heart, but seldom got the chance to show it to the other dogs. Tramp, on the other hand, was a stray mutt wandering the town and he liked it that way. Tramp was a bit of a troublemaker...he knew all the shortcuts, all the tricks, all the pranks, and boy, did he like to use them. He was extremely good at escaping the dogcatchers, even helping other dogs escape, and was even rather cocky about it, and the other strays knew it and liked it. He was also a bit of a flirt, as we see by how he treated Lady nearer the beginning of the story (later, of course, he dose let genuine love for her reach his heart, but I mean at first and probably before that.) Sound different to you? I'd say so. How many times have I said that there's more to a character than just markings? ;) Pointlessly "deep" analysis over.

I must say I'm impressed with the thought you've given this. Although now I can't help thinking that someone is going to try rendering Balto with Tramp's colors and vice-versa, if it hasn't already been done. I'm almost certain someone rendered Jenna's colors and patterns into a lineart of Angel once. I know, off-topic. Just putting that out there.
