He smiled and stood up, circling Jenna with close. The race went perfect. Just how I planned it to. I winked at her and sat down again. Tossing a rope/line of sasuages in front of her. You start at one end and I'll start at the other? Eh, hahe. He grinned flirty and started one end.

Jenna giggled, as he circled her. She two sat down, and and nuzzled him. "I'd love to share this with you." With that she grabbed the other end of the sausages. "What happens when we meet at the middle?" She asked as she slowly started eating.

Buddy signed as he started to feel the warmth, of the boiler room, but just before he got there he saw the golden dog. "Oh, um hello. I didn't know anyone was here." He said as he walked a little closer and sat down.

Steele:
Thats your choice. He said and just as he got to the middle he heard a snarl. It was that mut Balto! Steele returned the snarl up until he heard his master coming, he could tell it was him.

Balto:
Get away from her Steele! He barked, not paying any attention to the potential danger that was coming straight for him.

Kaltag was jolted from a particularly nice daydream when he heard the somewhat familiar voice of a dog nearby. He blinked twice before accounting that the rival team's dog was standing before him, admitting that he didn't know anyone else had been there. It took the husky a while to realize it would be impolite not to respond, and he cleared his throat before saying, "Me neither," followed by a small and quiet chuckle.

He sniffed the air and took in the cold breeze before laying his head down again. "If you lie down here at just the right angle, the temperature is so perfect it's heartbreaking." He closed his eyes in that 'half sleep' sort of way, where you close your eyes just to feel you're sleeping, but you lie awake for other reasons around you. He brought his ears up to listen to those surroundings and found that someone was in the boiler room. No, not a someone. Two someones. He opened his eyes in alertness as he realized with some shock that it was Jenna and Steele again. What was Jenna doing with Steele? Wasn't she Balto's girl or something? He half sat up in order to listen, urging Buddy with a head motion that he could listen as well.

Jenna took a few steps back when she saw Balto. "Balto, what are you doing here?" She asked innocently as she looked between him and Steele, why did he choose how to show up? 'I hope he didn't see what we were doing...' She thought as she looked at her paws "I'll meet you outside." She said quickly as she rushed out of the boiler room.

Buddy smirked at him, and nodded. "I know what you mean, this place is heaven if in just the right spot." He frowned when Kaltag tilted his head toward the boiler room, Buddy turned his own head to listen as he heard a snarl from inside. "I wonder what's going on." He frowned as he stood. "Should we investigate?" He asked taking a small step toward the room.

Balto:
Instead of leaving like he normally did, he followed Jenna. Well, what were you doing with him anyway? He asked, one ear foreward and the other one cocked to the side, like a confused puppy.

Kaltag nodded, following Buddy in tentative footsteps. "I think we shall," he said with a grin. This was probably the most exciting thing he had done all day. Thinking about this potential friend, Buddy, he actually kinda liked the dog so far. He seemed friendly and agreeable, although Kaltag knew that if Steele caught him with a dog from the other team, it'd be his neck on the line. Who cares? Thought Kaltag, with a sudden burst of adrenaline. Steele's a washed up jock with nothing to show for it but muscles. He can cry to me all he wants, but for now it's still a free country. With that, Kaltag changed his set of speed. He was still being cautious, but he had a new pep to his step that without Buddy would otherwise have been lost.

Jenna looked at him, then looked away trying to think of something to say, she didn't like lying, but right now she didn't seem to have a choice. "Uh, Rosy's parents and Steele's owner thought we should get to know one another a bit more. So we decided we'd talk in the boiler room for awhile, it was nothing really." She said as she smiled sadly at him, hoping he'd believe what she had said. She then glanced toward Steele who was standing in the doorway to the room.

Buddy hid behind a barrel that had a clear view of the scene. "It's Steele and two other dogs." He whispered back to Kaltag. "Who are they?" He asked backing up a but to let him see into the scene in front of them. Buddy could feel the heat from the room was really strong where they were standing, he could only imagine what the dogs over there were feeling/

He flicked his ears one time before sighing with a fake smile spread across his face. Okay, He paused or a minute. I love you, still. If you still love me? He licked her muzzle and took off toward his boat. Boris following him closely.

Kaltag took a few more steps to fill the space Buddy had left for him. When he finally got a good look, he had to look again in order to be sure. That was Steele alright... "He's with Jenna and Balto. Balto is the one who saved all those kids... and Jenna's the one Steele's been after since the get-go. You'd figure a guy with that much bulging muscles would get over a girl who's taken..." he began to trail off, taking note that Balto seemed to be getting suspicious of the situation, and he noticed Jenna's awkward movements, signaling that perhaps she was uncomfortable with the whole thing going on. But... that struck a surprising question. Why should she be uncomfortable unless she had something to hide?

Jenna folded her ears back as he ran off. "Steele, I'm going home." She said as she started to walk away, her tail low, and her head hung, she couldn't believe Balto had caught her in the middle of a date with Steele, what was she going to tell him later, and how would she ever gain his trust again?

Buddy nodded to Kaltag as he listened to who each of the dogs were, but then he trailed off. "What's wrong?" He asked as he backed away from the barrel, and stood behind the building next to the hospital. His brown eyes glancing up at the snow that had began to fall. "When's the next race do you know?" He asked out of no where.

Steele:
Okay. He said with a dissapointed and stressed sigh. He looked around with his ears back, Nikki and Star walking behind him as he walked through the alle ways, Steele wasn't scared of anything, or so it seemed. He saw his owner unhitching some new dog. It was another male, great, all Steele needed today was a competion. Steele growled deeply, making Star fall on his stomach and hurry to cover his head with his paws. Steele shook off the feeling of disgust and started walking again, spotting a group of familiar females that he had seen when he had crossed the finish line.

Where they stalking him? Maybe not, but it was a good possiblity! Steele smiled a very flirty smile and kept walking, looking at Star who was shying away from everyone. Steele rolled his eyes and walked with his head high.

Balto:
Just as he was about to duck under his thin blanket, he spotted Buddy. He smiled and awkward smile and walked over to him, being nice. Hi, I'm Balto. He said with a slight tail wag. Hoping they could become good friends.

Jenna signed when she got home, she jumped up to a window, and Rosy saw and came and opened the door. "Hey girl!" She said as she hugged her. Jenna smiled and followed her owner into her house, and headed into the kitchen for dinner.

Buddy's ears perked up when he heard someone behind him, "oh, hello, I'm Buddy." He said then looked over at Kaltag, "Um, so where do you live?" Buddy asked trying to make some sort of conversation.

Balto:
I live in an abandon boat. That one over there. He motioned his head toward the boat. Making sure Steele didn't find out by looking before responding. Steele would most likely try to kill him in his sleep and Balto knew he probably wouldn't be strong enough to fight off someone that size.
