Mishka:
After I ate I pawed at the door once more, being once again realesed by Diana. I walked quietly and quickly back to Kavik. Told you I would come back. I smiled some and grabbed the chain. I tugged hard on the chain and felt it slip just a little. I smiled and pulled harder and harder.

Kavik yipped happily as Mishka continued to pull but quickly shut his mouth knowing one of the guards would come quick and fetch a human. He smiled and began to pant with excitement as he felt the chains loosen.

Mishka:
I tugged harder and felt it slip more. Almost got it. I said quietly through clentched teeth. I smiled a quick smile and tug harder and harder. Finally it slipped free but I was propelled backwards. Into the side of the house. My fur took most of the blow but it still hurt. I looked up and rubbed my head.

Kavik shook his fur happily and stretched. Oh it felt good to move at will again! He soon saw Mishka and barked worriedly quickly trotting over.

Mishka:
I'm okay. Hurry there isn't much time. Go. I said worried that the humans would find him and hurt him. I staggered up and shook my head. I started to walk off quickly, hearing something moving inside the house. I ran into the back woods, looking at the house through the tree's that hid me.

Kavik watched as Mishka headed off into the woods. He dashed after her wanting to know hwo he could repay such a kind dog.

Mishka:
At first I shyed away from the upcoming sound. I peered from behind the tree to be relieved with the site of Kavik. I let out two big breaths. You scared me. I smiled and laughed a little bit, still slightly nervous.

Kavik could smell Mishka's worry and smiled warmly."I just came to ask how I could repay you for saving me".

Mishka:
You don't have to repay me silly. I smiled and heard something again. I perked my ears and looked in the direction my house was in. I said in a hush whisper: Diana I raced through the forest. Weaving in and out of the trees and straight through the open window around the back of the house. I ran into the living room to find Diana in the corner and some guy walking at her. I leapt infront of her and turned to face the man. I snarled and showed my big k-9s. Charging and trying to make him think I would bite him... I would.

I whimpered ever so slightly as Mishka left. Head hung low I padded off to where I'd last seen my friends hoping we could see each other soon.

Mishka:
When the man tried to grab Diana I latched onto his arm and didn't let go. He struck me twice between the eyes with his fists before dragging me into the kitchen and hitting me with a frying pan. I finally had to let go. Falling onto the hard wood floor. The man reached for Diana again when I staggered to my feet. I howled long and loud. My friend had come but that wouldn't help much because it wasn't a human. We both fought the man while he tried to get out of the house. I grabbed his shoulder and my friend grabbed his wrist. We held him down until Diana got the phone and dialed 911.

Kavik heard the howl as he searched the lonely stone cold forest. He ran to the house and burst through a window shattering glass everywhere. I lunged and garbbed the mans neck hard. The wolf side of me was showing more than ever.

Diana:
I dropped the phone by accident when I heard the glass shadder. I hurried to pick up the phone and explained what had happened. I wasn't hurt but I needed to get Mishka to the vet as quick as possible. She would only be able to help for about another minute. I hung up and picked up Mishka. I petted her head. Good girl. Good girl. I said looking down at the man.

I hurried and took some wire and rope. I tied him up and sat him next to the mailbox. I hurried and rushed Mishka to the vet. Stroking her as the vet told me should would be okay. A wave of relief rushed over me and I smiled. Petting Mishka as the vet gave her a cookie for being a good patient. I took her back home and let her rest. I waited for the cops to arrive before leaving to go anywhere else.

Kavik stood for awhile watching the man. With an absolute growl of disgust and a howl of triumph he ran off without another word."Now where are they"... He mused to himself.

Diana:
Finally the squeak of squad car brakes pulled into my driveway. I watched as they took the man off and went straight to the pound. I got another dog very similar in personality to Mishka. I named him BamBam and took him home. I let him meet Mishka but kept a babygate between them so they could view each other from a safe distance. Once they seemed like they could get along I removed the babygate and let them play.
