Links nodded laying down slowly on the ground and taking her bandana off and folding it up before she set it inside the log.

Dex sighed, "well, your welcome to stay as long as you'd like.. if you want to at all..." he said, "I have to go and get to work on a den for myself though.." he said, turning.

Link nodded and set her head down, but watched him closely and tilting her head slowly.

Dax smiled and nodded to her, he turned and trotted into the trees, he searched for a good den site.

Link closed her eyes and decided to try to sleep the rest of the day away.

Dex found a good spot, under the outstretching branches of the trees, totally safe and as he digged, he knew no one would notice it unless they were searching pacifically for it. It went deep, winding with the roots, he went until the outside light wasn't visible, he finished padding the dirt smooth and lay down, he closed his eyes and slept, one ear open to sound, if any wolf or creature dared to intrude his slumber.

Link flicked her ear the quickly perked her head as snow fell on top of it. She shook it off quickly and looked up at a squirrel laughing at her. She growled at it baring her teeth and the squirrel quickly jumped and ran through the trees.

After what seemed forever, at least to him.. Dex emerged to his world covered in a fragile layer of white. He looked around, his ears perked and began to run along the border as he had before.

The squirrel kept taunting Link. She just kept staring at it. and soon she quickly charged at the tree for it and started to make a bunch of scratch marks in the tree before she stopped, when there was a good dent of scratch marks in it.

Dax emerged and was surprised to see Links. He stopped, noticing the gash in the tree. "So.. what'd the tree do, or was there a squirrel?" he asked.

"Stupid squirrel... and i want to KILL. IT!" she growled looking around for it. She slowly went back to the log to put on her red and white bandana on her leg before looking back at the tree she made a scratch mark in.

Dax chuckled, "Squirrels just want the attention, evil little buggers they are.." he said and grinned, looking up into the tree.

"Stupid think knocked snow on my head then laughed about it, i almost wish I had hands so I can smack it back with a snow ball," she growled and sat back and fell over, "Okay... now i'm about to get really mad," she sneered getting back on her paws, "Stupid balance."

"Well, good luck catching the little thing, they are sly as they come, always laughing and poking fun.." Dax said and laughed, he couldn't help it.

Link rolled her eyes and laid down again, wishing the stupid squirrel would leave.
