Yeah.. with the rumors back in 2008 we would have had more information on the film by now if they were true.

Well they would only make one if they didn't have much money but I would like to see Kiara/Kovu's cubs but not a replay of the two first flims and I would want tlk 1/2 to be just a fan movie it was funny but I would want a tlk 3 instead

that kinda made me mad that they would make a Timon and pumbaa movie they should just made it a lion king three instead.. that one and a half was pointless in my eyes

Disney would not make a film if they did not have the funds to create it.

The way I see it, you can only do The Lion King one so many times. But when you say not a "replay", then there is no point in making a film. The Lion King revolves (I'm not sure how to word this properly) around the circle of life, so a movie about Kiara and Kovu's cubs would have to deal with the circle of life and taking either Kiara and Kovu's place, or something to that extent. Point is, a third film would just be redundant.

The Lion King 1/2 cannot be a fan movie... That just doesn't make any sense. A fan movie would mean a group of fans would have put something together. And like I said above, you can only do Lion King one so many times before it gets old.

What I mean by all of that is thlk 1/2 it should just be pointless (which it is in my opion) it would be made by Disney but itd what I mean by not much money is they would have enough for a flim but didnt have ideas and what I mean by not a replay is Disney not making it like Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet okay

I don't think that we need a sequel, because it would get repetitive and the worst of all... IT WOULD BE ONE OF THESE 3D CGI FILMS!

Guys, there will be no more Disney Sequels that are direct-to-dvd. John Lassiter put an end to that. I really don't think there's much there could do with another sequel, a story about Scar and Mufasa's childhood would be depressing, and Kovu and Kiara's cubs would be going to far in my opinion.

It could be slightly possible considering the fact theyre just now releasing the Lion King movies on Blue Ray!


Finding Nemo was released in 2003 and they're just now releasing Finding Dory in 2015. Toy Story 3 was released in 2010. The Lion King 2 was released in 1998. If all those other old Disney movies or getting 2 or 3 are just now getting sequels there's no reason they can't release a Lion King 4. Old movies are coming back now.

They need to take a survey to see how many people would watch it and keep it medium-budget like the other movies.

The big wait with films like TS was almost on purpose really- as the audience were kids when the first movie came out, and had grown up just like Andy by the last one. Same with Monster's Inc.

Finding Nemo is a much newer movie than Lion King, and, quite frankly, Disney's shut up their 2D movie making forever. No more sequels.

I think they're just sucking up the last of the money they can get by re-releasing TLK, and then it'll just be left alone. Let's face it- it'll be pushing it too far if Disney decided to make a TLK 4, I mean, most of the public don't even know there was a sequel, let alone a third film XD

All the voice actors have moved on, some have sadly died, and it truly won't be the same if another film was made. Also, there's no good options on what it will be about- it just gets too repetitive.

I think it's best if these things were left for the fans to imagine- if Disney made another movie after so long, the whole fanbase will either have to destroy most of their theories, or give tons more questions. Lion King 4 just won't sell, and even Disney won't take the risk in making it.

You should probably change that last post, I wouldn't recommend cursing at one another. Kopa, just because a movie is going to Blu-Ray does not mean it's getting a sequel. And also, Finding Nemo is Pixar, and John Lasseter is fine with Pixar making sequels because he made that company with the help of close friends. Disney only distributes Pixar movies into merchandise and Theaters. Are you doubting that Disney has shut down 2D? Check again. All of those animators are laid-off. No more Sequels, those departments were shut down long ago.

With Disney's 2-D animation department gone, I doubt they would. And I believe their direct-to-DVD-sequels ended.

If there was a TLK 4 what would be the plot and what would happen?

One has to remember Disney does what they want. What they want is what sells. You have to hire actors and writers and animators. Will this happened. I think its very slim to none. All former actors and writers are long since gone. There are ideas but nothing to make Disney to to anything different.

It would be about the circle of life, starting from the top again.

Look guys , TLK will never have another sequal because Disney shut down the 2D Department. Also, we all know there will never be a lion king 4 , so Can't a mod Lock this?
