I rented the movie, I had the JR. Novel but I had never read it until after I watched the movie.

Ever since I was little, I always loved dogs and wanted to be a dog. I don't know how I got them, but ever since I can remember I've always had the second and third movies, not ever paying any thought that there may be a first out there. At that point my favourite character was Aleu, and most of my toy dogs, whether they looked like her or not, were called Aleu.

One day, a few years ago (maybe 3 or 4) I was watching Wings of Change and was playing the game in the bonus features where you have to guide the team home or something, and there was footage from the first movie in the game. Then it clicked, after years of watching the sequels, that there was another movie out there. So I went to my local Video Ezy, found it and rented it. At first, when it started I wondered if it was the right movie because it had a live-action beginning, but after watching it for a while I realised it was animated and was the right movie. I absolutely fell in love with it, and rented it every few weeks until my parents finally decided to get me the movie.

After that, I started to look for merchandise to buy. On one of my searches online to look for said merchandise, I came across BS and well, the rest is history ^^

Aiyana, that sounds exactly like me. I always wanted to be a dog when I was younger, and very often I would sometimes act like one. Some of the time, I'd get down on all fours and start to walk about like a dog xDD. I truly was obsessed with them when I was younger.

I've had the film since 2009, as you know, Balto is not very popular in the United Kingdom (where I live, I'm British). I first came across it on YouTube, as he was involved in lots of animashes. At first, I thought Balto was just a made up character. So I searched Balto in Google, and that's when I came across this site. From there, I found that actually Balto was a film. I bought all 3 Balto films, (I must say the very first was my favourite.) and I loved them all. Then I became more active on Balto Source (but only as a visitor). I also found out (after watching the first film) that Balto was a true story, and that inspired me to find out more about Balto. From then on, I've got to be where I am now, an active member on Balto Source.

Most of my earlier years is just history, but it all started on YouTube. I used to always listen to that Taylor Swift song: "Love Story" and that's when I came across an animash using that song of Balto and Jenna.

I use to act like a dog as well, the majority of the time as well. I did alot of the things they did. I still do, though not really, the only thing I do now is, bark. Sometimes.
How I found out about Balto is on a Spanish channel, when I used to live in Queens. Even though I did not understand What they were saying, I watched anyway. I found out about Balto ( the movie & the true story,) When I was in 1st grade. I'm going to 6th now.

By the way, did you liked the spanish voices? Because that are the voices of my childhood.

Same! I'm still like a pro at making the noises (barks, growls, meows, hisses - yes I liked to be other animals as well), even today me and my friends were messing around making noises and they all said mine sounded real ^^

And when I hurt myself (like hit or kick something like furniture by accident) I make a yelping noise like a dog, not even on purpose, just by habit

Haha, we're very alike. I also used to get out a dessert bowl and put water in it, then drink it like a dog too. Sometimes, I would also act like a variety of big cats, making some of their weird noises. I've been doing those sort of things for ages.
Balto really satisfied me though. I remembered what I used to do when I was younger, and for a laugh did the same thing, but pretending I was Balto. That's very unique that you yelp out of habit when you hurt yourself. Very unique. When we got our first dog, I pretended I was a dog, and he used to curl himself up next to me when he was a puppy, like dogs do.

I think I was around 7 when I first saw Balto.. So around 2003. I saw the video cassette at my cousin's house while I was staying over there and I had wanted to watch it. I only got so far as to the scene with Balto, Steele, and the trio in an alley and then I was picked up to go home but I got to take the video with me to finish watching it later on. After giving it back from loaning it my mother got me a new one to keep. That's pretty much the story. :P

Edit: Right.. the sequels. I just remember finding Balto 2 somewhere, but that memory is extremely vague. As for the 3rd film, I saw a commercial for it on TV and went to buy it when it came out.

I actually saw WOC several times before seeing WQ or Balto. My brother found this site, and I joined, recognizing the characters. A year later I actually saw Balto. And now since then, I have seen it a good 5 or 6 times.

Oh sheesh..i saw the first Balto movie a LOOONG time ago..I'd say when I was about 9-10ish.. I picked it up in the video rental store, because Mom recognized the name. She told me about the real story about Balto (thinking that the movie was accurate) and I got all excited to see it.

Needless to say I was really confused when i ended up watching it xD But it did occupy me for an hour, and it inspired me to draw what I do today (the first Balto character I ever drew was Dixie x3). But I've forgotten most of it xD I can't find a place to watch it for free, because I do want to rewatch it!

I first saw it when my class watched it in school a few years ago [we were learning about the Iditarod, if memory serves]. I looked up a scene from it and found not only this site, but the two sequels.

I used to know a place, not sure if it's dead or not.

My story's rather short: I was probably 11 or 12 years old, and my mother told me about Balto (y father showed it to her long time ago) and suggested me to download it (ahh, back to the good ol' times when BearShare was still usable...) and watch it. So I did found Balto and watched it. Back then I wasn't all that good at recognizing all these language symbols, so the version I downloaded was Italian. But I instantly fell in love with the movie anyways :)

The first time I saw it, I was 10 or 11 years old. I looked up Balto on Youtube, and I watched the movie. That's how I saw all three movies for the first time. I have them on DVD, now.
