Yes I know. But why didn't he do the next 2 movies?

Whenever An original voice dosen't returne foe a sequel a always assume it is because of money, But( I have no way of knowing if This is true or not )That He was going to voice Balto in "Balto 2" ,But He was busy with other things.
I was thinking about that reason too....Thanks for answering.

I like how deep Balto's voice is in the first one. Maurice Lamarche had a pretty low voice too, but it sounded unnatural as he tried to imitate Kevon Bacon's. More gruff.
But I think Kevon's voice was perfect. Everyone's voice was right in the first one.

I cannot comprehend how any of you would think that Maurice LaMarche did a bad job with Balto (those of you who said as much, or implied it). He's a veteran of cartoon voicing, and is able to express a full range of emotion and personality with his voice. And I thought he did an excellent job as Balto...MUCH better than Kevin Bacon (who sounded little better than Kevin Costner in ANY role...dry, monotone, and boring). LaMarche brought some real feeling to Balto...gentle wisdom, kindness, tenderness, and benevolent authority. He made me feel like THAT Balto could be real!
I also don't see how LaMarche's rendering of Balto could be viewed as "younger-sounding" than Kevin Bacon's...or higher-pitched. LaMarche clearly added a gravely quality to Balto's voice, presumably to demonstrate the fact that he had aged.
Maurice LaMarche...hands down.

Gotta love the orginal it fitted so perfectly with his character. Though the others were good, it was a shame they could not have the original for all three. Seppalla yes it was good but he just didnt sound too much like balto, kevin was just so I dunno....almsot more gentle, balto was not a very agressive, LaMarche too me sounded a bit too....well...I can't really think of the right word, he didnt sound more tough just not very...balto like, balto like they said in the movie, is more of a thinker then a fighter.

You thought that LaMarche's voice made Balto sound aggressive, like a "fighter"? I didn't get that impression at all. I mean, I'm not discounting or dismissing your opinion (or anyone else's), I just don't see it. At all.
