Lara rose her head from her paws to see Nix and Madness quickly walking towards a field. She rose to her paws and followed them.

"What's up?" She asked in a almost mute whisper.

"nix turned her head to see lara following them" oh i saw an elk in the feilds"

Zilch · **Posted:** Wed Oct 19, 2011 12:20 pm

Elk? There hadn't been elk in forever. Elk was a big deal. But they were extremely hard to take down- always flailing about wildly, kicking and thrashing about. And there was no way Lara was letting them take it down alone... Unless...

Squinting, she focused in on the supposed location on the elk. She closed her eyes and pricked her ears. There. She was indside the mind of the elk. The first thing Lara noticed was that it was in pain. It's back right leg to be exact. And it was sick, and fairly old.

"You won't need my help." She murmured, shaking her fur. "Be careful though," Lara added softly.

nix smirked" dont worry i can heal this elk then you two can take it down the healther the elk the better the food"

Madness snorted and crouched low. She licked her lips and smiled. "Ah, elk. They've always been my favorite sport." With that, she scampered to a hiding place.

"nix hid in the grass" i say we make it die slowly"

Zilch · **Posted:** Wed Oct 19, 2011 7:00 pm

Lara slithered up between Madness and Nix. Ugh. Slithered. Snakes.... She hoped there weren't any snakes nearby, because if there was she wouls majorly flip. Lara shook her head to clear her thoughts about snakes.

"Please do, we don't need anybody getting hurt. Our pack is short on members as it is." Lara whispered quickly.

Okami · **Posted:** Thu Oct 20, 2011 2:27 am

"nix looked at lara confused" oh come on i can heal the pack if anyone gets hurt and beside the slower it dies the more blood comes out and oh yes i love drinking the blood"

Zilch · **Posted:** Thu Oct 20, 2011 3:56 pm

Lara winced. Blood. Disgusting. Especially just by itself.

"Point is, if nobody gets hurt, you won't have to heal anyone." Lara sighed. "And I did not need to know about your eating habits."

Okami · **Posted:** Thu Oct 20, 2011 4:00 pm

"nix walked up to her" wait wait are you afraid of killing one elk"

Zilch · **Posted:** Thu Oct 20, 2011 4:28 pm

Lara glared up at Nix. It wasn't fair being so small. It wasn't fair that at every step she was questioned, just because her rationality was different.

"No, I'm afraid of packmembers making rash decisions. I'm certainly not afraid of one elk. I am afraid of what elks can do." Lara emphasised on every word. "And you should respect my and Madness' opinion over all others as we lead this pack." Lara continued. She turned to look to where Madness was, only to find nobody there.

"Do not question my ability as pack deputy." Lara growled softly. She flicked her ears and looked back towards the elk.

"nix rolled her eyes" ok then im just saying its the only food we have seen in days i just dont want to mess this up"

rest in poptarts · **Posted:** Fri Oct 21, 2011 3:27 pm

Madness was in a tree, looking over the horizon. No bodies were seen over the hills, and she didn't hone in on hooves stampeding across the next plains.

Da-nemm.(The canine word for d-a-m-n)

She continued to spy on the elk, and it suddenly moaned out of pain. Madness leapt out of the massive oak, landing in a patch on nearby daisies, not even making the slightest sound. She trotted up to Nix and Lara. "It's a bull elk. They aren't easy to take down, but it's possible."

Zilch · **Posted:** Fri Oct 21, 2011 4:00 pm

Lara nodded and then flashed her eyes to Nix.

"Don't try to be a hero. It'll take all of us to take on a bull." She said point blankly.
