Aslan looked back at his brother. "Go, Ceru, you want to...don't you? Don't worry 'bout me." he muttered, shutting his eyes again. He would wallow in self pity alone- not with anyone else. He felt like he had to live upu to his father's reputation as one of the greatest police dogs when he was older and it bothered him. He knew Hudson wanted him to be a police dog and it didn't seem like he cold.

Dorian laughed when she licked her but was a little upset when she left. He felt tears well up iin his eyes and he pulled hsi knees up to his chest and lay his head on them. "I shoulda listened to my parents..." he whimpered. He coughed again and buried his face in his arm.

Cerulean snored fakely, pretending not to hear him. He kept his back to Aslan, and turned his head away so he couldnt see him open on eye to look off at the others.

Ivory was back to the boiler room after about 10 minutes. Behind her was the doctor and his wife, looking like they were troubled because of how late it was. Snow was cloaked to the doctor because he gave his jacket to the woman, keeping her safe from the storm. When the doctors eyes laid on the little boy, his insticts took over. He grabbed the kid and walked back out, heading straight for the hospital, and told his wife to call his parents.

Ivory whinned and wanted to follow, but she couldnt see them after they went into the storm. She barked, but no answer. Finally, she gave up. Sitting there, she looked out into the white blanket, and sighed.

Aslan huffed and stood. He shook his fur out quickly and trotted off in front of the fire. He lay down in fron tof the fireplace, enjoying the warmth that came with it.

Dorian coughed loudly, but it was taken away by the storm. He looked back for Ivory but couldn't see more than three feet away. He knew he would probably be in trouble when his parents came to get him, but all he wanted now was to get home and sleep. He was so tired he could barely kep up with the doctor as he took him to the hospital. He kept tripping over his own feet and knocing into something.

Cerulean was suprised when Aslan got up and left the bed. He sighed slightly but smiled. His first thought was that he left so Ceru could go sleep witheveryone else, and whether or not he was right, he would like to think so. Cerulean stood and walked over to where his brothers and sisters were, and quietly laid down inbetween both of his parents, quickly falling asleep.

Ivory finally could stay in her spot no more, and decided to go find her brother. SHe couldnt keep her mind off the boy who she had just saved, but she knew that it was a once and a lifetime thing and she would never see him again. She sighed and kept her head hanging as she walked the alleyways, looking.

Aslan grumbled to himself about how he wasn't a softy or a kissup like hsi siblings were. "I'm no sissy!" he muttered. Annee overheard him and carefully crawled of of Hudon's paws. She trotted over to her brother and nuzzled hsi cheek fur. "Yo usure do act like one!" she giggled.

Aslan stood and glared at her. "I'm no sissy!" he growled.

Since he was shorter than Anne he had to look up at her which was very embarrassing for him.

"Oh yeah? Prove it kitty boy!" she laughed.

Aslan snarled and tackled his sister biting her ear hard.

Annee let out a piercing yelp that woke Hudson, sending him on alert. "Aslan! Get off of your sister! What has gotten into you?!" he demanded.

Aslan did as he was told. "Well she called me kitty boy again and called me a sissy!" he shot back rudely.

Kimma awoke to see his sister walking through alleyways. He trotted up to her and smiled. "Ditched hte human! Nice!" he smiled. "That hamburger is still there if you want it. I didnt' touch it!" he said, trying to cheer her up.

Charcoal awoke from her deep sleep, hearing all the shouting. She sighed, lifting her head as she realized it was Aslan and Annee that were the cause. She then coughed slightly to get Aslan and Annee's attention, "Now now children. Its very late and you should all be asleep. Annee, apologize to Aslan for making fun of him, and you Aslan apologize for attacking your sister." Her eyes look at the rest of her puppies, "And I want all of you to go sleep in your bed."

Ivory couldnt help but smile at her brother. She knew he really cared for her. Ivory wagged her tail slightly then shook her head, "No thats ok. Its late though. I think we should get some sleep and then get more food when the blizzard stops."

Cuba groaned then trudged back to the basket. "Thanks a lot...brother." he grumbled, layning down in the basket and falling asleep. His expression twisted into a grimace.

Anne gave a small humpf. "Sorry." she muttered, she walked over ot the basket and curled over beside Cuba.

Aslan clawed at the floor, not wanting to apologize to his sister. "Sorry." he said rudely. He didn't dare move from the spot he was standing. "I'm not sleeping in there." he muttered.

Hudson eyed his son. "Wold you rather sleep outside?" he questioned.

Aslan thought for a moment then nodded. "Yes...yes I would." he grumbled.

Kimma smiled but then it turned into a frown. "Nope nope! My baby sister is NOT going to sleep through a storm without eating something!" he declared. He turned and found the burger and nudged it up to her with his nose. "Eat up!" he grinned.

Sky nudged her little brother Cerulean over to the basket. As soon as he was in and sleeping peacfully next to Annee, Sky jumped in and laid down next to Cuba. She giggled as Ceru quickly fell back asleep, almost oblivious to all the talking going on over by the fireplace. She kept quiet and lowered her head, hoping they would stop soon cause she was really tired. Her tail twitched anxciously.

Charcoal huffed, "Thats enoguh out of you young man. You are not sleeping outside, and you will sleep in your basket. It is too late for any of this to be going on." She gave him an intense stare, meaning she wasnt going to put up with any more of his yelling.

Ivory rolled her eyes and grinned. As soon as she took a bite of the hamburger, she realized how hungry she was. Only acouple more bites and she was licking her lips and thinking about how tasty that was for a meal. She nuzzled her brother, "Thank you for keeping it for me. But I think now we should really go to bed"

Aslan glared at Hudson before turning and walking back to the basket.. He curled up toward teh edge and closed his eyes slowly. Only then did he realize how tired he had been. His tail twitched slightly in his sleep.

Hudson sighed and walked over to stand next to Sky. "Sleep now." he said, nuzzling her softly.

Kimma smirked and returned the nuzzle. "See you should never doubt your brother fo rhe is awesome!" he laughed. He nodded then curled up in an overturned, empty trash can. "The box is warmer." he practically shouted.

Skylard giggled when her father nuzzled her then licked his nose, "Ok daddy..." She put her head down and closed her eyes, quickly drifting off like the rest of her siblings.

Charcoal sighed as she watched Aslan walk back to the basket and fall asleep. Why did he always have to fight with his siblings and his father? She laid back down and looked out the window, deep in thought. Maybe it was just a rebelious stage he was going through. He never used to fight with them when he was younger.

Ivory looked at the box then back at Kimma, "Well if you want you can have the box. I dont mind." She smiled again.

Hudson chuckled and watched her fall asleep. He walked back to Charcoal once he was sure they were all asleep. He lay down beside her and nuzzled her. “He’s fine. He’s probably just cranky…again.” He said quietly, his tail flicking back and forth.

But Kimma was already asleep, his snoring could be heard even through the storm. “No…no I don’t want the bone you take it!” He grumbled, turning over on his back. He had a habit of talking in his sleep.

Charcoal smiled at her mate after he nuzzled her. She sighed and accepted the excuse once again. She laid her head down on his paws as she closed her eyes, there was no use thinking about it now. She was too tired to deal with puppies.
"Goodnight Hudson...." She said quietly as she drifted back off to sleep.

Ivory looked over as she listened to his loud snoring. A smirk approached her face as she rolled her eyes at her goof of a brother. She laid her head down and fell asleep quickly, having short dreams about the little boy.

"Good night, Charcoal." Hudson whispered, laying hsi head on hers. He too was soon asleep.

Kimma continued to snore. "Size 6 leather loafer..." he muttered.

The next morning:

Hudson was up bright and early, sittin gin the kitchen and looking out in the back yard. "Hey kids maybe after you eat you can play in teh snow." he suggested.

Annee and Cuba nodded in excitement and looked over at Aslan who was moping inthe corner.

Dorian was taken home later that night and got better quickly. He was well enough that he could go outside and was walking down the sidewalk, shoveling snow for people who would pay him. He passed the alley where Ivory and Kimma slept. He smiled at Ivory and took a step closer.

Kimma was goign throguh the trash early that morning, finding another hamburger and some chicken legs with a good pportion of meat on them. "We're eating good today!" he grinned.

Charcoal smiled at her puppies, walking over to the corner of the basket where Aslan was, "Oh aslan please dont mope." She gave him a concerning look and licked the top of his head.

Skylark jumped up and down with joy as soon as hudson talked about them going outside to play. She loved the snow and how pretty it was. Her eyes gleemed with excitement

Cerulean was excited but he was alittle worried on how cold it was going to be outside. He had never been out in the snow before. His little body shivered slightly thinking about it.

Ivory woke at the sound of footsteps. Her ears perked up and she lifted her head to see a strangely familiar, small figure walking down the dark alley. It was Dorian! Ivory jumped up, her tail wagging.

Aslan jerked away from her and turned his back to her. "Why do you care?!" he snapped.

Hudson smiled down at them and walked outside carefully. He stepped out onto the back porch and went sliding into the snow. He poked his head up and shook his fur off quickly. "Yep....that's cold." he hissed, walking back inside.

Dorian smiled at Ivory and walked closer to her. "I never thoguht I'd see you again." he laughed, stroking her fur.

Kimma glanced up at Ivory, confused as to why she was so happy. When he saw Dorian, his ears flattened against his head and he let otu a snarl. "You said you ditched him!" Kimma snapped.
