Amazing cloud photos, Paxis! The clouds are green/blue because light from the sun reflects the colors from the ground back into the clouds. That can also be associated with severe weather if I'm not mistaken.

Paxis: I really liked your photo's, . Your fifth picture looks a lot like a Van Goff painting or something.

Thanks everyone! ^^
Mighty-> Yeah, that's most likely the reason. I was taking my dog out when I saw the color in the clouds so I quickly went back inside and grabbed my camera. xD
JC-> Thanks, and I can't wait to see your sky photos!
Conay-> Yeah, those last two cloud pictures reminded me of a painting but I couldn't remember what the painting was or who it was from. Thank you. ^^

Conay-> Lol, true! Edit: You know what really reminds me of those clouds is the scene in Spirit where Spirit and Little Creek return to the Lakota Village. Ex. 1 Ex. 2 Ex. 3Mighty-> Nice photos! C:

Those are some really neat sky pics. Personally, I like photographing wildlife and other animals. Here are a couple I've taken at my cottage of the loons on the lake - and their adorable baby. These next couple I took at the Toronto Zoo. The arctic wolves weren't the only animals I took pictures of, but they were the ones that came out the best. The second photo is actually what I currently have as my computer's desktop image. While I'm at it, I may as well post these. Now, imagine you're biking through the woods, when suddenly, you find the wreck of an old car. No, this is no joke - I actually found the rusting body of a car, which was somehow parked in the woods, probably decades ago. Neat, huh?

Lovin' all the photos so far! Great work guys! Really! Mightybalto1925 wrote: Sepp: Great pictures! No worries on the size of the pictures. But me thinks you should share your praying mantis pictures too. Paxis wrote: JC-> Thanks, and I can't wait to see your sky photos! Wishes granted. Though, Paxis, I did post a few already. Heh heh. Just sayin'... Here we go! And more to follow of other subjects (wanted to get these in before ol' Hurricane Irene hit my region and caused power outages...lol): PREYING MANTISES: SUNRISES, SUNSETS, AND SKYSCAPES: 1. Another early-morning autumn sunrise out over the Atlantic Ocean from the beach of Avon, North Carolina (on Hatteras Island, the Outer Banks) 2. Early-morning sunrise, same as last picture, different time of year (and different year as well), same location. 3. Same as above... 4. Setting sun over the beach-front (and near-beach) rental homes in Avon, NC (Hatteras Island, the Outer Banks), looking west towards the Pamlico Sound and an awesome sunset 5. Sunset over a local park 6. ditto 7. and again... 8. etc. 9. etc. 10. Sunset over the Pamlico Sound, on Hatteras Island, North Carolina (the Outer Banks), looking west towards the mainland from the barrier island. 11. Same...different evening... 12. Mid-day sky over a local high school... 13. Another early-morning sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, from the beach of Avon, NC (Hatteras Island, the Outer Banks) 14. Peculiar and intense sunset effects over a commercial region near my home 15. The local park again, and another sunset... 16. Interesting mid-day cloud formations in the sky near my home...one fine day...
