It can't be. The whole thing just stops at the movies? No, I don't think so. Anyway, we're getting off-topic here. As I mentioned, if Kovu and Kiara were cousins, then what could be wrong with that, if anything? They're lions.

Blood related. Brother and sister, then, yes, it would be wrong. If they were cousins, they wouldn't be completely related. That's what I'm saying. If they were first cousins, there's nothing wrong.

They're not just lions in the films. They're lions that are basically human and show very little lion behaviour and very much human behaviour. That's why the official maters make clear there was no incest going on. Because human race generally does not approve of incest.
And IF Kovu WAS Scar's child, it would make him and Simba cousins, not him an Kiara. I'm not sure what it would make Kovu to Kiara, but nonetheless blood relation which is all that matters to the concept of incest, not the how closely related the individuals are.
And yes, Brown Wolf, the OFFICIAL Lion King saga begins and ends with the films. Anything beyond them is just semi-official or unofficial fanfiction that has to be picked and chosen from in order to logically extent/expand the saga and through that becomes fan preference as in fanfiction as in not official story.
