Penelope jumped up in happiness. She smiled and ran toward the howl hoping that the others would follow.

"Over Here!" She barked.
She walked over to him, "are you alone?" she asked as she looked around for others.

Koda's ears pricked up fiercely even as he laid in a bundle of mud covered leaves and thick, fallen branches. He groaned out of pure instinct as he attempted to get up. At first, it was very hard. His muscles ached. His head was spinning. He was lucky to have survived the storm. And as he struggled to get up onto a load of weight from his own filthy body, he realized just how much that luck had paid off.

His eyes and vision were blurry. He could barely see a thing. And as he stumbled on a foot ever so slightly, and just barely managed to catch himself before he fell in a heap, he knew he had to wait to regain his senses. So he stood there, breathing heavy, deep breaths in order to fill the ones he had lost in the coming of the storm. And he scented the air with pleasure and remorse. Here he smelled water. There were lots of puddles near by, making the dirt soggy and wet, but providing comfort as he walked on over to one and lapped up small licks of the life giving liquid. His lips and muzzle were wet now, but his taste was strong and he enjoyed the water's fluid run across his tongue and travel all around his insides.

Then, finally, his vision began to come back. It appeared slowly and ever so carefully, but when he knew he had it back, he sighed with relief. And then he remembered the thing that had awoken him. A howl. From a fellow wolf. One he thought sounded familiar, but he couldn't be sure of. He slowly walked towards it, but as he looked at his own body for a moment, realized he was a mess. Mud and dirt and water was caked everywhere on his coat. And it was making him shiver as the cold breeze seeped through it.

He wouldn't be able to make it another mile with all this on his pelt. He'd never make it that far. And so he found a river somewhere nearby. And again he thanked his lucky stars for the miracle of finding it. He bathed in the water and enjoyed every second of it. It felt nice to feel it flow all over his fur and to know it was cleansing him. And after a few moments there, he stepped out to shake his coat of excess water.

He was still cold, but Koda knew that in time, he would dry and be warm again. And from there, he attempted to run. After feeling the water's vibrant sensations, he almost felt new again. He knew he could at least run again. And so he did. To the source of the howl. And he became confronted by what looked and seemed like two wolves. The one who's howl it came from, he recognized. "Penelope?" He whispered with a raspy voice. As he cleared his throat, he assessed the new wolf. Koda said, "Well, it seems we may be the only ones who survived..." He trailed off, sad at the fact, and nearly weeping over their lost pack. But he had to be strong. He wouldn't let those feelings show around a stranger.

Penelope smiled at the sight at a friendly face, she looked around him to see if Koda had brought any others but nobody was in sight. "Don't loose faith" she said with hope. A cool breeze of wind sept across her snout, she looked up at the grey sky "It is getting dark, we should find a place to rest". She looked around the fallen forest, a large boulder and a collapsed oak looked pretty cozy to her. "This way" Penelope ordered.

Lesher followed her he didn't say a word about a tree almost killing him because it smashed on him witch caused him to loose him mate. You can even tell the side of him is bleeding a little bit. Every few minutes he would stop and see if it was still bleeding. If it was he wipe it off. He knew someone would see it.

Penelope looked back, and was happy to see Lesher following behind her. When she got to the rock she pressed her body onto the cool limestone and slid down to the dry ground and feel asleep.

Lesher looked out over a fallen tree, "I'll find you Lania. Don't you worry." He said to him self out loud.

Koda nodded. He would try his best not to lose his faith. Indeed, he'd keep it until the very moment he couldn't turn down facts. However, this new wolf Lesher... he seemed to have lost someone. He wasn't sure who, but it sounded as if the name was Lania. And by the name, one could judge that it was a female. His mate, perhaps? And when Koda turned his head to look at the male, he was a bit stunned to see a gaping wound on his side. And it seemed to still be bleeding.

"Erm, Lesher is it? You're bleeding profusely," Koda commented, referring to the wolf's side. "And... about this Lania... What did she look like?" The wolf was furiously curious. He could remember flashes that served as memory. Just before the storm, he saw others of their kind running like mad. And a few... he saw struck with bolts of light. All of this came to him now. He had seen all of it before being caught up in the midst of it all. And blackness had taken away his vision and senses. And that was all he knew he remembered.

And he did remember a certain female who died that day. He sincerely hoped that Lesher's hopes wouldn't be crushed. And he honestly prayed that his memory wouldn't serve as a death sentence, metaphorically.

Lesher looked over at Koda "She was almost white. I lost her during the storm while he where running and hiding. Thats what the cut has to do. A tree fell on top of me and she didn't realize it, until she found out probably I was gone." Lesher replied to both of his questions in a small story. He felt down that his mate is probably lost, maybe even dead. He was still worried it was the only thing on his mind to find her and bring her back. He whimphered and layed down on the log he was standing on still looking out at the little destoryed forest.

Scarlett was playing around outside the din after the huge storm had hit and was playing on rocks and everything. She loved the sow after a huge storm. Everything was different and she loved the feeling of that. Knowing that the world had just shifted in the amount of hours.

Zev was still in the den laying out. He was tired from running from the storm and finally finding shelter. "Scarlett get in here." He yelled at her.

Lesher whinced a little more he really wants to find Lania.
