Beth nodded. "Yeah, I would," she said, turning and heading to the door. When she saw Glenn, she couldn't hold back tears, no matter how hard she tried. She nuzzled Glenn. "Glenn...I've missed you so much..." she said, relieved to see him alive and well. She came back and looked her brother in the eyes. "It's been a hard five years...but don't blame yourselves, just Baron and Titan have gotten a lot more agressive..." she said, solomnly. "Made life rough for us, not to mention their games are a good bit bigger than our own..." she explained. "...But we never thought either of them would attack here and get mom...but don't go blaiming yourself, they're the ones to blaim."
Beth then smiled, managing to push sad thoughts to the back of her mind. "But now's a happy time, not one to thing about stuff like that. You're finally home and that's all that matters...we're a family again..." she said, tail wagging slowly. Family was all that mattered. With Timmy dead and now their mother following, it was so good to see her brother again. "And don't worry, Meldox will be civil," she whispered. "I made sure of that," she whispered to her brother. Beth didn't like to fight, but she was still a tough female and could be quite intimidating if she wanted to be...at least to her own gang.

OOC: Just realized I have only one character in their gang right now to use, wasn't Mammoth in the last one on their side?
Beth nuzzled Meldox lightly. "Don't blaim yourself, Meldox," she said. "Baron was smart, he knew what he was doing and ambushed us," she said. "He's the only one to blaim is the Ballas," she continued, looking around. "We're a family again, and next time, we'll be ready if they try again," she explained. "We've made plans to protect ourselves, we can get out of this mess," she said, showing her compassion.
"Because our gang isn't out to dominate everything or make others lives miserable," said Beth. "We're just together to survive, that's what we've got...we're friends and care about each other, Baron hasn't cared for anything his entire life and Titan hasn't either," she continued. "Now let's just forget that stuff for now and be togther, as family. This is a happy time, not a side one," she continued, holding the door for Glenn. "We've got dinner ready, my boyfriend Paul should be here soon..." she said, while her and Paul had been friends, they'd become boyfriend and girlfriend in the meantime while Glenn was away.

Beth returned her mate's nuzzle and smiled, tail wagging. "I'm doing well, Paul," she said, happy to see her mate. "Glenn being here raised my spirits a good bit," she said, standing next to her mate and rolling her eyes at Meldox. Like Glenn, she knew he didn't like Paul, but at least Paul was loyal and loved her. She then looked to Paul. "We've got dinner ready for us, come enjoy it," she said, then looked to Glenn. "It's a long story, but we're happy together and Paul treats me pretty good," she said, nuzzling her mate again, partly to annoy Meldox for his own annoying traits.

Beth headed in and started setting the table. "I made your favorite Glenn...at least I think its still your favorite, it may have changed in five years," she continued, pushing another plate in for Glenn for the first time in five years. Beth liked cooking, it was fun and took her mind off of things. "About John and Roger, I think they'll probably be here soon, we let the closest members of the gang know you were coming back, not everyone though."
Mammoth walked up to the door. He'd formally been in his brother Titan's crew, but one day, he got arrested. After spending about a year in prison and thinking things out, he'd been released and left his old life, joining the Grove Street Family. As with Paul, he'd not been trusted all that much at first, but he'd done his best to change and prove he was trustworthy. At the very least, he was trusted enough to be told Glenn was coming. Mammoth then knocked on the door and waited.

"Hello, Mammoth," said Beth, setting another seat at the table for the huge dog. "How are you today?" she asked, a bit of concern in her voice. Mammoth's gigantism gave him a great deal of strength, that was true, but it caused him a great deal of pain in his knees and wore them down, which worried everyone. He'd had surgery one in the past, which helpped, but he needed it again. Only problem was neither him or the Grove Street Family didn't have enough money to afford it. She then saw John and Roger. "Hello boys," she said, setting another two places. "How are things going for you?"
"Hey, Glenn, good to see you," said Mammoth smiling. "Glad you made it back safe and sound," he said, then looked to Beth. "Pretty good. Got some new medication that helps a lot," he said, then cringed at a jolt of pain in his knee. "Hasn't kicked in yet today though," he said, covering. Truth was, the pain medication didn't help nearly enough.

"I'm fine, it should kick in any minute now," said Mammoth, smiling. "No worries," he said, getting back up. "So how was New York?" he asked, knowing that's where Glenn had been.
Beth looked to Paul. "I feel so sorry for Mammoth," she whispered. "His knees are just getting worse and worse. He needs that surgery but there's not nearly enough money to pay for it...what are we going to do?" she asked. They'd been saving up some for him, but unfortunately, it'd been destroyed in the fire. It'd been just one of the many hard blows that fire had caused them, but one of the hardest as it stopped them from helpping their friend.

"We won't steal, ever," said Beth, very opposed to that. The Grove Street Family wasn't some gang that tried to muscle everyone to get what they wanted. They existed only to protect each other, with the other two gangs around, there was no other way. Either join them, and with Baron and Titan as leads, that wasn't a good idea, or band together. "We aren't exactly blacklisted or anything, it's just getting a job would be dangerous..." she said, knowing that outside a little work around their own territory they were limited on jobs, since the other two gangs had much larger turf than them. "Well I've been considering writing a book, that might help..." she said. "It's a bit about what's been happening around here...maybe it'd get people's attention about just how out of control the other two gangs are..." she said. "The only other way I can think of to make it right is somehow get rid of the Ballas and os Vagos, but I can't think of anyway to do that..." she continued. "Except make them destroy each other, as if we could be so lucky..."
Mammoth looked to Glenn. "Hope things weren't as awful in New York as they've been here," he said. "Baron and Titan are getting more and more out of control...it's not hopeless, but if we don't do something, it could be..."

Beth licked his cheek. "Thanks love," she said. "That'd be great, I've started writing a little, since the first I haven't had much to do," she said. "And maybe then at least some of the Ballas and Los Vagos might realize how horrible they're making life for others," she continued. "I don't think they're all nearly as bad as Baron and Titan are," she continued. "Some of them are probably just too scared."
Mammoth nodded. "Maybe we could write to the governer or something," he said. "Local police just don't know what to do, they're outmanned a few are corrupt," he said, though the cops typically had left the Grove Street Family alone for the most part, because they didn't go around causing trouble like the Ballas and Los Vagos. "I'll say this though, at least the Grove Street Family isn't like Ballas and Los Vagos, we're not trouble makers like them," he said, the reason he'd joined them. "I don't think you know, but I went to prison for a spell because of what I did, that's why I came to join Grove Street, I decided I'd not cause any more trouble and help someone protect themselves."
