The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue - If you've seen it, you know exactly why. The plot is stupid, the animation fails, and it makes the worst animated sequel prior to this one look like a masterpiece. Worst unnecessary sequel EVER.
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True/Atlantis: Milo's Return/any sequel that follows the "three-stories-one-movie" system - Poorly animated, poorly characterized, and quite boring in the end. Although the last story in Cinderella II is good, it's only the best "one-of-three" part I've seen. Mostly all other parts are terrible. How can a child sit through it?
Fox and the Hound II/Tarzan II/Bambi II/any "midquel" honestly - Pointless. They may be well-animated, but the story doesn't add anything to what we already know happens to the main characters. It's just a ploy to keep parents buying the movies with the younger, cuter versions of their kids' favorite characters. That and the stories are almost identical at times, though not all are.
All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 - Argh. I only like this movie for Sasha.... because the rest is crap. Even worse, a lot of the stuff mentioned in this movie was messed up once the TV series began. Geez, Charlie - this is one movie you could have just remained in Heaven, as the movie itself was Hell.
Balto III: Wings of Change - I don't need to go into this, do I? Not even Kodi, his dad or the much improved animation can save this one. And no, it's not all because of Stella. I leave it at Wolf Quest and that's it to me. It was too much like the original with an added concept of flight. At least they did some history, but that can't save this movie either.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame II - Another Argh. I only like it for the new girl, Madellaine as Quasi's love interest, but that's it. Yes, they got most of the voice cast back, but the story and most of the songs.... FAIL. Disney, why do you put the best song of the movie in the end credits? Avoid at all costs.
Any LBT sequel - I'm glad the Balto series didn't turn out like this. I do like a couple of the films, but they are the earlier ones, not the newer ones. The characters make you want to cringe sometimes on how stupid they are, and the songs... they are even worse. And don't mention the TV series for this either.
The Lion King 1.5 - Not exactly a "midquel", but just a revamp of the first movie told in the POV of Timon and Pumbaa. I don't see how this is GOOD. It destroys whatever magic the first film had in my opinion.
Any Shrek after Shrek 2 - Not including the TV specials, Shrek the Third and Forever After.... were awful. Funny? Yes. Funny bad? Totally. Though I'll have to admit that Forever After had an interesting villain, it's the crappy plot and the overuse of the "what-if?" scenario. Shrek lost his spark and charm in both of these sequels and I'm glad there will be no more.
Ferngully II: The Magical Rescue - There is no magic here. Bland, pointless and sheer BOREDOM.
The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea - I only like this for Melody, as the rest of the film is a reversed-rehash of the original minus the charm and emotion. Maybe this is the reason why Ariel's daughter isn't mentioned when it comes to official Disney Princesses.
EDIT: Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World - How could I forget this one? Though the historical addition of John Rolfe was a good touch, not even that and some of the original cast from the first film couldn't save this piece of history from being destroyed.
And that's it.... I'll bring up some more if I remember them!
- Juuchan17 Jungle Book 2-Shouldn't have existed. Whatever became of King Louie, did he finally learn to be like Mowgli?

Lion King II. Basing the first movie off Hamlet was unique. Basing the second off of Romeo and Juliet was NOT. -__- The songs in the first movie were great! The songs in the second sucked. It's sad that they abused the new characters in such a way. I liked their personalities and all, but the story was just weak in my opinion. I can say the same about the Balto sequels, but they didn't fail as much as they could have, so I'll let them go. Midquels, and 'Nobody Dies ALONE!!'s really annoy me, but not like making up a bunch of crap stories, throwing them together so they're around 2 hours long, and labeling it a 'sequel'. Waste. Off. TIME. For both the animators and those who waste their lives watching them. What Juuchan says sums it up perfectly: Juuchan17 wrote: Cinderella II: Dreams Come True/Atlantis: Milo's Return/any sequel that follows the "three-stories-one-movie" system - Poorly animated, poorly characterized, and quite boring in the end. I'll add I did like the end song in Cinderella II. That series would've been fine with just two. As in not making the actual ''Cinderella II'' and giving that title to the ''third''. Twist in time ACTUALLY wasn't that bad. Decent plot, good new characters and animation [GASP]. I think it deserves to live, and be labeled as the second movie.

..Ookay, I totally change my mind and am adding more. Shrek 3 and 4 As Celtic mentioned, The Jungle Book 2. I totally forgot that movie existed lol. But I have one I'm really fired up about because I just saw it.. And I'm agreeing with Rebelness's reaction to it. Pocahontas II? Seriously, this was what was running through my head by the end:
Hidden text : click to show
WHAT THE FUDGE. Why did Pocahontas choose John Rolfe over John Smith? Why did the film make John Smith so bad, tough, and lacking of true compassion? Why does Pocahontas always go for English guys named John? Why did that one dude who came with Pocahontas stay behind? (That one was the MOST random. Whyy?!) WHHHYY does such a potential sequel always screw things up and ruin original character personalities? You ruined the magic, Disney! Ruined the magic! :C I haven't seen many of the sequels/prequels out there, so I'm sure I'd be just as angry over more. -shrug- I'll probably watch them just to see eventually.

At reading your post and remembering watching it before, I asked her: '...do you remember what "Jungle Book 2" was about?' Her reply: 'Lameness.'

Two more to add. While watching Beauty and the Beast I noticed there were two sequels/spin-offs to it, so I decided to check them out. Bad idea.
-The Enchanted Christmas -Belle's Magical World
Edit 12/17/11: Anybody seen Atlantis 2? If you haven't seen it yet, don't. Spare the torture from your eyes.

Whatever became of King Louie, did he finally learn to be like Mowgli? From what I heard the widow of Louis Prima (his VA in the original movie) took offense to his voice being replicating in Talespin and Jungle Cubs, etc, so after a settlement, Disney 'retired' the character to avoid any more problems. I admit it seems kinda hallow without him. It wasn't a terrible movie, it was just kinda 'meh'. As said it didn't really have much of a plot outside recycling the original's premise in lower quality. It's not like they didn't have a lot of resource material. They could have refered to the original novels or even the numerous other adaptations a bit if they were that lacking in interesting plot points (like Mowgli's Story did for the live action version). Secret of NIMH 2 I admit was awful for the large part. It had an interesting premise (Timmy venturing Thorn Valley was actually used in the novel's sequel too) but it was executed poorly and nonsensically, with a lame 'prophecy' and most of the original character's diluted to shells (par maybe Jeremy, about the one character who fit the musical format). My memory of the Land Before Time sequels isn't great, I remember some where near the fourth or something it got pretty hard to even watch. From what I remember the first sequel wasn't that bad, if you edited out the bad showtunes it might have been a rather worthy follow up.

Secret of NIMH 2- My ultimate favorite movie ever, butchered by some jerk at MGM who decided to make a sequel to Bluth's masterpiece without even researching the fact that Ms. Frisby and the rats of NIMH had a sequel. It was called Rasco and the rats of NIMH, it had Jenner's son befriending Timmy, the mouslings, more of the Great Owl and Thorn Valley. Sure, they would have to rework or tweak it a bit, but that's what Don did, and that worked for the better! But no- horrible animation, the main character of the first movie is in 3 MINUTES OF THE SEQUEL! They ridicule the epic owl character by adding a unfunny Caterpillar character-who has a credit card..in the forest. Nimh is also supposed to be a place of science, not evil scientist that use shock therapy on rats! -.-
And Pocahontas 2. Why did they even attempt to make it historically accurate, they made John Smith a jerk.
That is all.
