It's cliché every main character never dies, you can kill them anyway you want them to, only if their in one piece.

That must be kinda hard or not hard at all when he hit the rock and they did it because the main character never dies.

So characters never die in kid movies?

Lets see...

  • Mufasa and Scar from The Lion King
  • Bambi's Mother from Bambi
  • Leslie (who is a main character) from Bridge to Terabithia
  • Littlefoot's Mom from Land Before Time
  • Tarzan's Parents and Kerchak from Tarzan
  • Yeller from Old Yeller
  • Todd's Mom from Fox and the Hound
  • Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
  • Kron from Dinosaur

And those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. So no, it wasn't because Balto is a kid movie that the main character didn't die. It's based [loosely] on a true story. That really says it all on why the character didn't die.

Bridge to Terabithia, i saw that movie in 2008 and i lost a lot in 2008; My only Grandpa a day before my brothers birthday, my home, so and so, and i agree that movie was real depressing. Very depressing year for me.

The way Steele threw Balto against the boulder, it would definately cause a scrape, and depending on the force of the impact, a fracture of the vertabrae. I do not doubt Balto had a bit of blood fly out.

Oh and Lakota, I like your avatar.

I still believe that the flying objects were loose stones with a light reflecting off of it to make it look red. But originally i think they intended it to be snow
