Foxfang raised his head and his jaws parted slightly to scent the air. He could smell the Stormclan scent, and it was getting closer and stronger. "Be on alert." He hissed to his clanmates, his dark russet striped tail twitching.

Redfoot paused at the scent of FireClan. "A patrol is near by," he meowed.

Rainfall's fur bristled slightly at the mention of Fireclan, the clan that had been causing a lot of trouble for Stormclan.

Foxfang led the patrol on, they would face the Stormclan patrol without fear or hesitation. Soon the Stormclan patrol came into sight as they neared the border. "What is Stormclan doing so close to Fireclan border? Are they planning a raid or an attack?" He hissed, shooting an accusing glare at Redfoot.

Redfoot's hackles rose quickly, making him look a lot bigger and fiercer then he really was. "We are on the dawn patrol, Foxfang- we are doing nothing wrong. Have we stepped a paw over the border?" he said, his green eyes flaming.

"Does it look like we're planning to raid Fireclan with only five cats, mousebrain?" Rainfall hissed, backing Redfoot up. Her apprentice Badgerpaw hissed an agreement.

The fur along Foxfang's spine bristled and as his claws unsheathed he dug them into the ground, creating scars in the soft earth. He smirked inwardly, deciding to cause a little more trouble for these cats. "I think this patrol of Stormclan crowfood needs a lesson in manners, attack Fireclan!" He hissed darkly, leaping for Redfoot.

Redfoot yowled as Foxfang toppled him him over. He battered at the tom's belly, unsheathing his claws.

Rainfall went for Tawnyfur, claws unsheathed as Badgerpaw went for Drakepaw. Wildshadow went for Bramblefang with a screech.

Bramblefang clawed furiously at his opponent, as Tawnyfur bit Rainfall's tail.

Rainfall yowled with pain and anger. The blue-grey tabby clawed at Tawnyfur's ear, hissing at the rival she-cat. Badgerpaw hissed as Drakepaw swiped him across the muzzle and bit his ear, the black and white apprentice bit Drakepaw's paw and raked his claws along his side.
Foxfang growled and bit Redfoot hard on the ear, jerking his head slightly and creating a few notches in the tortoiseshell tom's ear.

Redfoot snarled, raking his claws over Foxfang's back.
Tawnyfur hissed angrily.

Foxfang spat and snarled, but realised neither side was winning. It seemed pointless to go on, and as much as he hated the idea they had to stop. "Fireclan, retreat!" He yowled, running away from the border fight with his apprentice Drakepaw a foxlength behind him.

Tawnyfur raced after the tom-cats.

Wildshadow snarled then ran after his clanmates.

Rainfall limped over to Redfoot, Badgerpaw and Bramblefang. "Ha, that'll show those FireClan Warriors." She meowed in between pants. As soon as she caught her breath she started licking her injured paw. "Foxfang thinks he can own us, but he is oh so wrong." Badgerpaw meowed.

Redfoot's ears stung, but they could wait till they got back to camp. "Bramblefang, are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. Just scratches."
"Good. Is everyone else okay?"

"We'll live." Rainfall mewed simply. "Perhaps we should get back to camp."
