Fluffy is either male or female. Not one or the other. Fluffy is neither Kopa nor Kiara.

I'm sure "fluffy" is supposed to be Kiara in the film makers view, but fan "what if that was Kopa" should be accepted, as long as people aren't arguing that "fluffy" is definitely Kopa, because he's not. Kopa is just a character in a book series that isn't quite canon. To add to this, I think that at first Disney just added Fluffy in to complete the movie, and didn't really think about what gender it is. But when TLK 2 came round, they obviously thought more about it and decided they wanted Simba and Nala's cub to be a female, therefore making the cub at the beginning of SP look more like that. I think they mean for fluffy to be Kiara, though they look different, but that's just my opinion.
WOWOWO, I just remembered...didn't we get the names Taka, Ahadi and Uru from SNA? Nobody ever said these names were unofficial to the movie, and we accepted them along with Mohatu, who appeared in another unofficial to the movie book. But somehow, we're arguing about Kopa's existence only...XD
*edit...pretty sure someone said that already actually...

First of all there are enough posts about this as it is. Secondly, this isn't a forum post this is a sentence, next time don't just bluntly publish your opinion and add a little depth to your reasoning. Thirdly, no one knows as the animators declared Fluffy as genderless and the name Fluffy was a joke- no one even knows if he and Kiara are the same cub.
I really think someone needs to sort this forum post out.

I think they made it look like it had no particular gender so that they could decide for themselves what it would be later. In the case of the books, it was Kopa. In the case of the movies, it was Kiara. It's up to you to decide which gender it is based upon your opinion. Also, why do you call it "Fluffy"? I'm not familiar with this name...

Disney - or at least SP's creators can say that, but I highly doubt, TLK's creators could say that.

In Japan, these books are not available and so I was only made aware of this character from here. I did some research as I was curious and discovered that they were not published by Disney. They were made my a company called Grolier Enterprises and most likely wanted to make some money from The Lion King franchise as it is quite popular. They were published by Grolier with Disney's permission. So it is my honest opinion, that I do not consider Kopa "official" as Disney did not create him. He is a "fancub" in a way. But on the topic, the cub was indeed gender-less as the makers of The Lion King believed that it would not be a successful film so they had no plans for the cub at the end of the film. The question is though, does it really matter who we think the cub is? It can be whoever you want it to be, that's the fun part

Personally, I don't really see 'Fluffy' as either Kopa - though I did, and maybe, in a small matter, still do - or as Kiara either for a number reasons. Fluffy can either be male or female, but he/she being either Kopa or Kiara is incredibly tough to accept, at least, it is for me. I like seeing Fluffy as his or her own person. But that's just me.

actually , TLK's flimmakers said the cub had no gender. then , of course , they made TLK 2 , and fluffy became kiara.

Simba's Pride's creators want you to think they're the same, but they were too lazy to stick with Fluffy's looks so they went with their own. And Kiara looks nothing like Simba or Nala, really.
