Humphrey pinned his ears back, giving a low chuckle. "Yeah... I'm sure your Mom wanted you to shove my eyes down my throat, or maybe crack my vertebrae between your teeth." he said, shaking. "Im glad you are a lot calmer." he told her, giving Kate a nuzzle. He glanced at the wolves in sight. Most seemed okay with the pairing, and even said hi.

Lilly blushed, making her way to the den's opening. She sniffed. "Mom just wants what's best for us." she said, wagging her tail softly. "But she can get really scary, but now that you're family, she wouldn't dream of hurting you." she said, motioning with her bushy tail for him to join her. "All other stuff aside; what do we need to do today Garth?"

Yana groaned, picking wolves for the hunting party as they went along. "We best just get through today..." she said, tilting her nose to the wind, she took a deep sniff. " This is not good. There has been very little caribou about."

Kate said hi back to the wolves as they greeted them. ""Well actually, she told me to make you eat your own leg...all of them," she muttered. "But don't worry, mom always gives warning before attacking someone...ok, she didn't last time but she was worried sick about me at the time."

"Well it's Kate and Humphrey's turn to monitor the pack, we could go check on your parents and see how they're doing," suggested Garth, he and his father didn't talk much, they loved each other of course, but they were a bit distant.

"I know, but maybe they're further out than normal," said Blaze. "Or it's just the merged packs are too much."

"Yeah... Warning. What a warning!" said Humphrey, feigning distress. He smiled at the packs grouping, happy to see wolves that he once had to stop from making a scene speaking with his own pack. "In all seriousness this was a great thing, the uh, the uniting... It's great." he said, sounding serious.

"I feel bad," said Lilly, eyes downcast. "You and your Dad barely see each other. I feel like it's because of all this." she said, leaning against Garth's shoulder. She didn't want to feel responsible, but she felt Tony was standoffish towards them.

Yana sighed deeply. "What I don't get is why now? We were just fine. The caribou were nicely situated within the borders." she shok her head, crouching among the tall
grass, looking for signs of prey. "Blaze, take half of the party and look around. Alert me if you
find anything. I'll do the same." wordlessly, Yana took half of the wolves, heading off.

Kate nodded in agreement. "I know, and thanks to our little road trip, it came without me and Garth having to marry each other and getting to marry the ones we wanted to, so everyone won in the end," she continued. "Though truthfully, if things hadn't worked out the way they did, my next option was suggestioning one of the packs make their way to that park in Idaho, but I like this better."

Garth sighed and nuzzled her. "Don't worry, it's not your fault. Dad's always been distant to me, I think it was whatever happened to my mom, he never talks about her."

Kira watched this from a distence. "Those two could be perfect for my needs," she said with a smirk. "I just need to figure out the best way to use them."

Leaning over, Humphrey nuzzled Kate, his tail wagging. "Boy, am I glad that it turned out this way. Idaho's nice but... I'm worried some humans would recognize me." he said bashfully, his ears drooping. Kate would know what it meant.

Lilly looked concerned. Bur she smiled: her may mate needed cheering up. Bouncinghappily from Garth's side, she took a piece of bark she had found and crawled under. Lilly stood, with head and paws and tail sticking out. The wood was heavy; she whooped as she toppled over, spinning about with legs flailing. Lilly smiled at him from behind a scren of fallen white fur.

Yana sighed, pokingher head out of the grass every now and again. Her fur was prickling, and she seemed to sense the amiss. The older female broke off from her search party, sniffing high and low. "Drat! The only scent I can find is three days old!" she whispered to herself, mumblng curses. She smoothed out her fur though, fixing herself up. "Have to remember my appearances..."

Kate nodded. "Yeah, I'm a little worried about that too," said Kate. "But if they took us again, at least we know our way back this time."

Garth chuckled. "You're good at turtles, thanks I needed that," he said, rubbing noses with her. "That's one advantage to having a fun loving Omega as a mate instead of another stuffy Alpha," he said, smiling.

Kira watched this from the distence. "Can't let them get too suspecious," she said, finding some of the Caribou that remained in the park, about five of them. She snuck up behind them and roared, driving them into a panic towards the wolf hunting party. "I just need a little more time, this'll show them the land is still worth fighting for, if they think the caribou are gone completely, they might migrate and come back, I need to get rid of them all."

"Dont worry," said Humphrey, taking a noble stance. "Ill make sure nothing happens to you." he promised, going a wink. "C'mon, you can trust me."

Lilly giggled, blowing fur out of her face. She rubbed noses with Garth. "I still do them best." she said shyly, wiggling herself. "Garth? Can you help me out of this? I'm stuck." she said with ab embarrassed look.

Yana gasped as a few other wolves cried out in surprised joy! Five caribou made their way towards both parties. She grinned, chasing after a buck with a growl, wolves flanking her sides. She snarled, jumping on the beast's back.

Kate chuckled and nuzzled him. "I know, you jumpped on top of me in the middle of a Caribou stampede to protect me, if that doesn't show how trustworthy you are, nothing would."

Garth chuckled, getting her unstuck from the wood, though her fur had a lot of sap on it. "Oh, so that's why you got stuck," he said. "You've kind of got a little sap on you..."

Blaze smirked, leading his group, barking out orders, sending two to chase a buck while he sped through the bush ahead. When it came to him, he leapt out and tackled it, biting down on the neck, stubbling it enough for the other two to jump aboard as well, together bringing the large animal down, all it took was a little more choaking to finish it off.

Humphrey nodded, nuzzling Kate in return. "Hey, I had a knot in my back anyway..." he said, shrugging it off with a joke. In truth, he would have taken on those three bears for her.

Lilly blushed, trying not to look at her back. "I needed to go wash off anyway?" she asked, looking at Garth sheepishly. "Come with me!" she said, heading down to the falls. "I think you could use a bath too, Garth!" she teased, waving her tail in front of her nose as she ran off.

Yana clawed her way up the caribou, hearing two more go down. The she wolf snarled and gripped the throat, digging her claws into the tawny hide so as not to fall. She stayed like this until the great beast died. Dislodging herself, Yana howled in triumph. The party chorused after her, calling out there was a meal for the pack this day- plus many more!

Kate smiled. "Well you still saved my life, dad said you got kicked a few times, how I was laying, they'd probably have killed me," she said, nuzzling. "That's twice you saved me back there, if I'm not mistaken," she said, before hearing Yana and her party's howl, followed by that of Blaze's group. "Sounds like we'll be having caribou for breakfast, that's good," she said. "Everyone has been hungrey lately," she said. "Well you know, except Reba and Janice," she stated, looking at the two 'vegaterian' wolves eating berries in a clearing nearby. "How they stand the taste of them I don't know."

Garth chuckled, running after her to the falls. He heard the howling. "Good, sounds like the Betas have got us some food."

Blaze dragged his group's kill over. "Nice, two caribou, this'll show them how Betas get it done," he said, smiling. Despite his feelings towards the current leaders, it didn't mean he didn't want to impress them.

Humphrey smiled fondly, nuzzling Kate tenderly. Ge perked his ears up, licking his chops. "Good because, heh, I am starving." he said, trotting towards the howling. "You know they wontstart without you Kate!"

Lilly giggled and jumped into the water, letting the water soak her fur free of sap. She splashed at Garth, listening to Blaze abd Yana's howls. Lilly perked up, getting out to her shake her fur. "Food is the best thing to cheer up our pack isn't it?" she asked, fixing her fur again.

Yana shook out her fur, making herself presentable. "Of course!" she said, combing out her tail with her sharp claws. "Hmm, what better way to say 'we brought you all food' then with a good outer appearance and a fresh kill?" she asked with a laugh.

Kate nodded, blushing as her stomach rumbled. "I know, its a good thing we didn't get down to bones again like last time," she explained, heading towards were the food was normally brought after a kill. "I've been off my game lately," she admitted. "I think my shoulder is still sprained from getting kicked during the stampede, that and I accidentally pounced on the porcupine last week..." she said, truthfully embaressed, in all honesty, she'd not really been able to catch much of anything, even before the merger, though then it was due to the pack warfare, she was beginning to doubt herself.

OOC: We don't know much, but from what I got of dialog, that was her first real hunt since she'd just came back from 'alpha school'.

Gartha nodded, washing himself a little bit. "Yeah, we'd better go, they won't start without us," he said, shaking himself off. "Ladys first."

"Personally, I believe looking a bit worn adds to the show, makes it look like it was a hard fight," explained Blaze.

Humphrey looked genuinely concerned. He knew how much it meant to Kate to be a good Alpha. He nudged her. "What? No. Come on, you're pulling my tail. You're not losing your touch. You're amazing, Kate. If you waited for us to help you... Well let's say there's a reason wolves don't naturally live alone." he said, licking her cheek lightly

Lilly smiled, blushing. "I have such a gentleman." she said, rubbing noses before trotting off. "Now, sir, let's get out of here and go eat!" she said happily

Yana nodded. "I can understand where you're coming from. Personally I've always thought if you looked like it was no big deal, it showed that you had endurance." she said, cleaning off her muzzle.

Kate smiled and licked him back. "Thanks a lot, Humphrey, that sense of humor of yours is one of a kind," she replied, honestly. "You're one of a kind, honestly," she continued, leading the way to the feeding ground. "You and me are really very different, aren't we?" she asked. "But that's probably why we get along."

"Yeah, well we'd better get this back to the pack before bears catch wind of it," said Blaze. "Or worse, Wolverines."

Humphrey smiled, giving Kate a soft nuzzle. "Hey: opposites attract." he said with a carefree shrug as he followed her. "But I am glad, otherwise I'd be back eating berries with Reba or Janice." he said with a shudder. "Eck."

Yana nodded, grabbing a mouthful of the caribou hide. She began to pull as a few others pushed and tugged. "Heaven forbid a wolverine shows up." she said, eyes focused.
