Zac looked up when the bell rang, but he didn't really care. New town, new school, new late record. Oh well. He turned back to Amber. She had promised him she wouldn't speak a word. He breathed a deep breath, finally feeling like he could trust someone. "Alright, but I'm going to warn you quickly. This may be hard to believe." He paused and took another breath before continuing. "That kid over there... his name is Griffin. The reason I got so nervous is because he's a vampire and I-" He stopped himself, thinking he shouldn't say this after all, but eventually just decided to let it out. He'd gone long enough holding it in. "I'm a werewolf. The reason I know he's a vampire is because when I first became one, about a year ago, I was dared to go into the woods by my buddies. Let's just say it didn't end well. It was a full moon when I saw him. He scared me so bad I'll never look at all vampires the same. He was the first vampire I ever met, and the one that's instilled the most fear into me since my turning. No other vampire scares me. None. Only him." He breathed long and hard, trying to process many thoughts. Was Amber going to be okay with all this information? How was she going to take it? Was she really going to keep it secret?
Griffin looked shocked that she had figured it out, but after going through what had just happened he came to the conclusion maybe it had been obvious. But first he decided to address the 'passing through' subject. "Well, I have an idea for you, human. Though, human may not be what we should call you anymore." His tone seemed to much more sinister now it was scary to anyone else. Now that she knew what he was, and there was no one around, what point was there to hide his true nature?
"Passing through solid objects? That's in ghost stories." His eyes took on a glaring approach, letting her know he wasn't kidding around and also to let her know not only was he unafraid of whatever she was, but she should be scared of the danger he posed. "So, you're probably some kind of ghost, Ash." He used her name as if it was hard to. He never had a normal conversation without killing someone after. This girl, though he wanted to murder right where she stood for the thin blood he sensed, he wasn't going to snap his fangs at.
Now he decided to reply to her knowing what he was. "As for knowing what I am? Hooray. Good for you." His voice showed no real enthusiasm for the words he spoke. They were more sarcastic and evil sounding than anything. "What are you going to do now? Try to show me the sign of the cross?" He breathed, starting to pose a real threat, though he wasn't going to kill her. If she tried to do that to him, not only would it be stupid, but it could result in serious injury.
Just because he wasn't going to kill her, didn't mean zip when it came to letting her know the boundaries when it came to him.

Amber took a step back with astonishment. The information Zac had just told her took a moment to sink in. A werewolf. A vampire. Suddenly, her hair turned black, a color showing whenever she was afraid or angry. This time it meant the fear that overwhelmed her. As though her fear had suddenly eased, she heard herself talking. "This is just like one of those fantasy stories you would read out of a book or watch in a movie. T-this isn't supposed to happen in r-real life. Vampires a-and Werewolves don't exist..." She felt fear overwhelm her and looked into Zac's eyes.
It wasn't until then that she realized he could kill her. She could easily become his prey. Amber gasped in fright and felt a frenzy of adrenaline before turning and running down the hallway. She wasn't trying to find anyone and find help, all she wanted was to get as far away from Zac as possible. She then tripped and fell on the ground. She wasn't a fast runner, so only made it halfway down the hallway. A warm sensation filled her body and then pain clawed at her skin. Not knowing where the pain was coming from, she closed her eyes and clenched her teeth.
The pain was gone almost as soon as it had come and Amber opened her eyes. Nothing looked different, but little did she know, instead of behind a human girl laying on the floor - she had transformed into a red and white dog.
"So you're saying...I'm a ghost?" Ash glared at Griffin and continued, "I cannot be a ghost! I'm alive!" She took another step closer to him, almost close enough to touch, and quickly stepped back. His next words angered her the slightest bit, implying that she would be foolish enough to do something like that. But when she thought about it, Ash realized that she probably would have attempted the sign of the cross to save herself.
"I'm no fool, Griffin. But since you basically confirmed you are a Vampire - why haven't you ki-" She was cut off as Amber turned the corner and started running down the hallway. She fell and curled up, as though she was in pain. Before Ash could react, the girl was no longer laying on the floor - but there was a red dog where she had just been. "What the.."
Ooc:// Amber is later going to develop a crush on Zac ~ just to let you know ^^

Zac watched sadly as Amber ran, but he knew she wasn't exactly the kind of girl who would run and tell, so he waited a few minutes to go after her. After all, he didn't want her to think he was chasing her like a predator. He turned the corner quickly to see... a dog on the floor? He ran to her side and kneeled down. "Amber, is that you?" He asked confused. She had just stated five seconds ago that vampires and werewolves shouldn't exist, and now here she was a canine herself on the floor? He knew something had been up with her constant hair changes... He just never noticed it much until now when his eyes caught a white and red color dog on the floor. Zac knew dog language, obviously, because of his other side, but he wasn't sure what to do. There were eyes on them... He looked at Griffin with a feared look. He wanted to be strong in front of Amber, and to face Griffin but the trauma was still there in his mind.
Griffin rolled his eyes. "Great. Another dog to deal with." He gave Zac a death glare. "I should have killed you long ago, mutt." His stare was cold and unforgiving. There wasn't really a reason Griffin held so much anger against the vampire. But in fact, Griffin had had his own experiences with werewolves in the past. By now he had grown so cold to any one of those creatures he saw, he automatically wanted them dead. The only reason he hadn't killed this one was because it had been a full moon. Zac would be able to turn into his wolf side and fight back without having to try. He would have been able to injure Griffin easily. Now Griffin was more determined then ever though, to destroy the wolf any chance he got.
Zac whimpered slightly as his comment of wanting him dead. "But-"
Griffin's eyes flared red and stayed that way as he shouted, "But nothing, wolf! It's because of your kind that my girlfriend died right before my eyes! Have any of you even thought how cold and heartless I am? It's because of everyone in this stupid world! They all need to die! I'll murder every one of them!" His fangs started growing longer as he shouted with more rage. "My best friend became a stinkin' vampire and turned my girlfriend out of jealousy. Then he told my girlfriend to drink my blood, and ya know what? She was going to do it! She was going to kill me after everything I had done for her! Because of the bloodlust on her lips!" He licked his own and turned away, hissing to himself. He turned back and spoke softer, but still full of both depression and anger. "Because of humans, my friends all turned against me in the end. Because of vampires one of those friends turned my girlfriend against me and made me one of them. Because of werewolves I never got the chance to make her sane again. They ripped her apart, shred by agonizing shred. No one in this world has a good, kind heart. So why should I ever forgive them? No one ever showed me mercy. So I do the same. No mercy, ever. No one deserves it." His eyes turned even darker than they had been before. They glowed with sorrow, pain, and rage.
Zac was at a loss for words. He suddenly lost most of the fear. It turned to regret. He all of a sudden felt sorry for Griffin. He now understood why the vampire had become so evil. He lost everything... and the world was pretty much to blame...
He turned back to Amber, knowing it was her. He looked back at Ashlyn quickly and sighed. "Well since we all know the secrets..." He transformed himself into a handsome black wolf. He was only a few feet away from touching the roof, but looked down at the dog who had been a human a few minutes ago. "Amber are you okay?" He growled softly, trying to get her up.

Amber's head was spinning and she paused for a moment to catch her breath. Her ankle ached from twisting when she fell, and was probably sprained. Around her, she could hear the voices of Zac and Griffin, sounding angry and stern but also worried. She could not make out what they were saying and closed her eyes for a moment, still laying on the floor. She heard one of them ask if she was alright and she opened her mouth to answer. No words came out. Why can't I speak? She wondered and opened her eyes, seeing a massive black wolf leaning over her. It looked strangely familiar and Amber flinched when she realized it must be Zac.
She tried to stand up but her weak legs wouldn't let her. She lifted her head, eyes on Zac's, and answered his question. "I'm fine..." The words sounded strange to her, but she could not figure out why, "My ankle hurts though..." Amber turned to look at her ankle and gasped. Where her chest was supposed to be, there was just white fur and on her leg, it was almost completely red except for the white toes. She stretched out her hind paw and winced as pain shot up her leg.
Ash stood back, astonished by all three of them. The girl had turned into a dog, the boy had turned into a massive wolf, and Griffin had swollen with anger and depression. As Griffin spoke, she began to feel sorry for him and shook her head, realizing that her feeling sorry for him would probably just anger him more. Shaking, Ash took a step forward and put her arm on Griffin's shoulder, hoping he would not lash out at her but her touch would calm or comfort him.
Looking down at Amber, she watched as Zac growled something and Amber whined in response. It didn't make sense to her, but at least they were communicating.

Zac watched as Amber suddenly realized she was a dog. She explained about her ankle and even showed him how it hurt her. He whimpered softly and looked down at her with sad eyes. He took a glance at Griffin, who seemed to be fuming more than ever. Griffin suddenly felt a hand on him, and snapped his head around to see who it was. When he saw Ashlyn's arm and then her face, he was about to hiss, out of pure instinct, but soemthing told him that she was just trying to comfort him. He nodded, saying something he hadn't said in decades. "Thank you..." He touched her arm with another hand, passing something else he hadn't given in years: a smile. And you could tell it was sincere. It wasn't the evil smile he was used to giving. This one was earnest... honest...
His eyes turned back to a cool blue, no red, though when he glanced back to Zac the smile faded. His eyes remained blue, though they kept their glare. He hated werewolves. He hated all vampires, including himself. He hated all humans... He hated the world...
Meanwhile, Zac attempted to get Amber by the bottom of her body and carry her. Would she care if they skipped out on school? Oh well, no time to worry about it. He put her on top of his back and turned towards her. "You alright now? Does your leg still hurt?" He asked gently.

Amber wobbled a bit but kept her balance, putting weight on her ankle. The pain gradually faded and she nodded towards Zac. When she looked up into his eyes, she felt a floaty feeling overwhelm her but it quickly vanished as she began to feel warm. Soon her legs felt as though they were on fire and she yelped, feeling like she had been engulfed in flames. Squeezing her eyes shut and grinding her teeth together, Amber tried to endure the pain and felt the warmth decrease. Opening her eyes, she could see her point of view had changed. She had turned back into a human.
Amber swayed on her feet, feeling exhausted from the transformations and took a few staggering steps forward and grabbed Zac's arm, using him to balance. She stood still for a moment before she felt strength flow into her limbs and her mind cleared. She stood up straight and glanced towards Griffin and Ashlyn. "I do not think we are acquainted." She stated.
Ashlyn smiled warmly at Griffin and watched as Amber turned back into a human. She followed Griffins gaze of hatred towards Zac and bit her lip. She hated it when she could not even out the tension among people, so she focused on Amber instead, answering her question. "No we are not, actually. My name is Ashlyn, but most call me Ash." Ash replied. Now that she had recovered from the shock of this morning's events, she was much more calm and content.
Taking her hand off Griffin's shoulder, she took a step toward Amber and whispered in her ear, "You might want to cover up that cut on your arm. You don't want to become lunch." She nodded towards a small but deep cut on Amber's arm and pulled a ribbon out of her pocket, wrapping it around her arm. "There."

Zac nodded gruffly and changed back into his human state. He made a few cautious steps towards Griffin. He wanted to make amends for whatever he was feeling. He wanted to comfort him. Little did he know how dangerous it was to get so close. Still, he kept coming closer, slow step by slow step. Suddenly Griffin turned to see him, as Ashlyn left to talk to Amber. As the two were conversing, Zac came within talking range, extremely (and dangerously) close to the vampire. "Listen, I-"
Griffin hissed so loud, the sound came like a screech to Zac's ears. "Get back!" He yelled.
Zac didn't know why Griffin was acting like this. He made one fatal error by taking one step towards him to say a reply. "B-"
There was no time to react. The blond haired vampire lunged at Zac. His fangs were so long it was almost impossible not to notice them. He sunk them straight into Zac's shoulders and neck. Blood began dripping all over the area and the floor. Griffin sucked it with rage. He had warned the werewolf. Still he kept coming. Griffin was a living wreck when it came to his emotions. All he felt was rage right now. He hated werewolves. He hated them. Despite Zac's intentions, the vampire wanted him no where near his space. Now it was too late. The bloodlust was covering Griffin from head to toe. He couldn't stop.
Zac yelled in pain, and before long he knelt to the ground from bloodloss. "Please!" He managed, but Griffin wouldn't stop. In fact, not another word was said.
Griffin just hissed even louder, biting harder too. It was only a matter of time before Zac would die at Griffin's fangs.

Amber looked past Ashlyn's head and watched as Zac took steps closer and closer to Griffin. She heard him hiss at Zac, but Zac was foolish enough to take another step. When Griffin lunged at him, Amber pulled away from Ash and stopped on her tracks when she saw Griffin bite Zac, causing blood to splatter on the ground. No! A voice in her head screamed over and over. If I don't do something...Zac will die! Amber felt a mixture of rage, fear, and adrenaline fill her limbs and she transformed into a silver snow leopard. She wasn't sure how she had changed but it didn't matter, and she leaped at Griffin.
She could feel her claws touch skin but she wasn't sure if she would draw blood or whatever flowed through a vampire's body. She attempted to push Griffin off Zac and stood protectively on top of the bleeding body.
Ashlyn whipped around when Amber darted around her. She watched in horror as blood was shed and Griffin began his meal. Amber had turned into a silver leopard and was now trying to fight Griffin off. Oh no... First period is about to end... What will happen if the students see this?! Ash grabbed Griffin's arm and held a tight grasp, glaring at him. She hoped that her touch and her firmness would bring him back to his senses, and that he would not try to kill her by biting into her wrist.
"Griffin." She stated, with an edge of anger and sympathy in her voice.

Zac kept struggling to get away but it was hopeless. Until Amber came. He was so happy to see her, even though she was another animal now, that he managed a faint smile. But his vision was starting to blur. As she came at Griffin and tried to push him off, it seemed futile at first. The vampire wouldn't stop. He couldn't be moved. He was like a rock.
Though when Amber began to claw at him, it began to make marks all over. The vampire's own blood was dripping everywhere. That was just enough to make him pull away from Zac to look at the leopard. "What are you doing??" He hissed. "Don't you know that's dangerous?" He tried to warn, but all it came out as was a yell. His eyes took on a fierce expression as he jumped off Zac and began to try and corner Amber against a wall. He may or may not have succeeded, because the girl was fast on her paws, but still he tried. Then he felt an arm on his own. He made a loud screech at both the touch and the tone of voice. Who was it that was trying to touch him? He snapped his head back to see Ashlyn.
He was about to take a snap at her, and you could see it too, but stopped mid-way when he looked at her face again. He growled silently and let his eyes become normal color again. He pulled his arm away from Ashlyn and just looked at the ground sullenly. He could have killed Zac that time so long ago... Now he'd never get the chance with these two strange girls around. Never. It killed him inside. Not only that he couldn't get himself to hurt this girl, but the fact he had to leave his worst enemy at bay was enough to tear him apart inside. His human memories kept coming back to haunt him, every single day of his life. They had driven his actions for the past 43 or so years. They had made him who he was today. This girl, Ash, was trying to change all that. And it might be working.
As Zac began to 'come back to life', Griffin tried to clean up his own blood, but it kept dripping. "This isn't good... this is not good...." he whispered.

Amber froze in panic for a split second as Griffin tried to corner her. She snarled and leaped onto the top of the lockers - causing claw marks to scar the metal. She watched as Ashlyn grabbed his arm and he turned to face her. Taking this moment, Amber jumped down from the lockers and ran over to Zac, examining the bite marks. He was not bleeding terribly anymore, but he was suffering from severe blood loss. She looked over at Griffin and saw that he was bleeding too, and would probably not come after Zac again, so she turned herself back into a human.
"Zac, we need to get you out of here." She whispered into his ear.
Ashlyn looked over Griffin and saw that his blood was not stopping. She looked around and saw a large banner made of cloth hanging on the wall. She ran over to it and jumped up, trying to grab it. Eventually she grabbed the bottom of it and pulled the banner down, bringing it over to Griffin as she ripped it into small pieces. "I took principles of Hospitality last year. Good thing." She murmured to Griffin as she patted his wounds. The banner cloth could only hold so much and Ash gasped as the end of period bell rang. "We have to get out of here!" She yelled at Griffin and the other two.
Turning around, she saw a large window, revealing the woodland behind the school. She closed her eyes for a moment and grabbed Griffin's hand. Suddenly, she could feel herself getting lighter - and her tangibility decreasing. Hoping that since she was already touching Griffin, it would make him intangible as well, and she pulled him over to the window.
"You aren't seriously going to..." Amber said with disbelief.

Zac got up slowly, but for the most part he was alright. He turned to Griffin, but instead of giving a look of hate, he gave an expression of apology. He knew he was at fault for this. He was only trying to help, but by not heeding Griffin's clear warning to stay away, he had caused an entire mishap that hadn't really ended well for anyone. He asked a simple question before responding to Amber or Ashlyn. "What do you mean, dangerous?"
Griffin answered him with a rough tone, but it wasn't necessarily menacing. "My blood."
Zac was a bit confused. "Your blood? But it looks the same..."
Griffin shook his head. "Of course it does, wolf. It's made to be like that."
Zac was more puzzled than ever.
Griffin retracted his fangs so that they were slightly smaller. "Listen, we'll talk about it later. For now Ashlyn and Amber are right. We need to get out of here." He looked at Ashyln trying to wrap a banner around his bloody wounds and a faint smile crossed his lips. When he opened them to speak, though, it quickly faded. "Ashlyn, it's not such a good idea to do that. You should try and stay as far away from my blood as possible."
But all of a sudden he was being taken away towards a window. Ashlyn seemed to suddenly become transparent, and Griffin was too. He felt light and as if he could fly, and it was now. He would have gasped, but he wasn't the type of creature to do that, even if surprised. He looked out at where Ashlyn wanted to take them and thought other thoughts carefully, trying to think out everything that had just happened and once again trying to push away his past.
Zac looked back at Amber. "We should follow them, right?" He asked, still gentle in tone.

Amber nodded towards Zac and grabbed his hand, bringing him over to where the window, Ash and Griffin stood. She looked at the forest, most of the trees dead from the summer's drought and the creek very very shallow and muddy. She heard the loud voices of students coming into the hallway and quickly extended her other hand towards Ash.
Ashlyn looked confused at Griffin. How could his blood, or whatever it was, be dangerous? She shrugged and grabbed Amber's hand, making all four of them intangible. Taking a deep breath, she pushed herself through the glass and found it surprisingly easy. She could feel herself passing through the solid but it felt more like walking through a wall of water. Looking down, Ash remembered that they were on the second floor, and winced. Although they were only about fourteen feet above the ground, she was afraid of heights. Holding her eyes closed tightly, Ashlyn felt her legs hit the ground but to her surprise, she did not feel any pain.
Must be one of the perks of being a ghost or whatever I am.
Amber winced as her feet touched the ground but was also shocked by the way she simply glided down to stand on the grass. Ahead, the woodland seemed a lot larger and darker, but they had to get out of there. With both Zac and Griffin bleeding, they needed to get to the creek. Amber let go of Ashlyn's hand and transformed herself back into a silver leopard. "I'm going to see if the creek is clean before we get there." She spoke, surprised at how her voice sounded normal instead of coming out as a roar. Amber ran into the mash of trees and skidded to a halt at the creek. Looks like the city has been doing a good job of keeping their water and forests clean. She thought as she noticed there wasn't a speck of trash anywhere near.

Zac felt a bit nervous when they began crash landing to the floor, but when they eventually did land but felt nothing, he breathed a deep breath. "So, we're out. Now what do we-" He stopped talking when Amber morphed and sped to the nearest river. He wanted to follow her but eventually decided against it. He shouldn't be too clingy to a girl he just met. He turned to see Griffin and Ashlyn. He didn't feel so afraid of Griffin anymore. Though he still wasn't brave enough to exactly confront him, he now knew some of Griffin's weak points. He wanted to converse with the vampire badly, wanting to know a bit more about his kind. Though, he knew it was a bad idea and decided against that too. So, he turned to Ashlyn to try and start up a conversation. "That was cool." He gave an approving smile. "So you never knew you were part ghost?" He gave a chuckle.
Griffin didn't say a single word, even as Zac began to converse with Ashlyn. In fact, he walked away a few feet to examine his wounds in peace. He wasn't so far away that he was out of sight, only 5 feet away from the others. He took a look at all the scratch marks which were now beginning to heal. "Thank god for that," he breathed. He looked ahead at the forest, deciding the risk that came with his blood may not be too bad anymore now that his wounds were healing. His eyes kept staring out into the gaps of the trees, as if trying to spot something that didn't even exist.
His nose scented the air, but he recoiled his face in disgust when the werewolf smell became dominant. He growled in his mind, silently cursing to himself. Why on earth was he allowing this werewolf to live? He turned back to see the wolf, still talking to Ashlyn, sighed, and looked back at the trees, seeming as if to stare out into space. Was there even really a space? He wondered. Was anything ever real? Humans were oblivious to vampires, werewolves, ghosts, shape-shifters, zombies, anything imaginable and 'illogical'. Yet, here all four of the teenagers were, at some point either being human or thinking they were, and then they were emerged into this entire world of stuff that wasn't supposed to be real. It should have been breath-taking, or to say the least, shocking in bad but mostly good way. Yet, Griffin just couldn't get away from his past. It made everything 'good' about his existence literally disappear almost into thin air. Nothing seemed real anymore. Could it be possible that no one on this Earth was kind enough? He shook his head, but continued thinking. His mind wandered various areas as he stood there and stared at the beauty of nature.

Ashlyn nodded at Amber as she scouted off into the forest. She closed her eyes for a moment, thinking over Zac's question. Turning around, she smiled at Zac and replied, "No. I did know that I was different though..." She closed her eyes again and opened them after a few moments, continuing to talk, "When I was little, strange things would happen to me. One time, I was on my bike and lost control. I almost ran into a tree but for some reason, I flew through the tree, landing on the soft grass behind it. I told my father what had happened, but he just told me that I had been lucky and fell past the tree, thinking that I went through it."
Ash ran her fingers through her hair, "But I didn't fall next to the tree. I know what happened. My parents always look at me...differently than they did before that happened. Like, I'm not their child or something." She shrugged and turned to look at Griffin, who had stepped a little ways away from her and Zac, and was admiring the forest.
Amber dipped her paw in the creek and quickly pulled it back as she heard voices behind her. Two teenage boys, probably around fourteen years old, were jumping through the stepping stones that lead a path across the creek. She crouched onto the ground, thinking of what to do. Leopards don't just hang out at creeks so close to humans, maybe I should change into something more believable... Amber thought as she turned herself into the red and white dog. Standing up, she saw one of the boys look over at the noise.
"Cool a dog!" He shouted and ran towards Amber. She flinched back and backed away, not knowing the natural behavior of a dog. The boy reached down to pet her and she snapped at him. Pulling his arm back and cursing, the boy ran back to his friend and they continued in the opposite direction. Amber nodded, satisfied, and turned around, spotting a tall, rock overhang. Perfect shelter for them to help Zac and Griffin. She barked loudly, hoping the others would recognize her.
