Zion ponders amoment and puts his stick down "I got a good idea! lets capture it!" without aresponse Zion Bounced around the tree "DRAGON!" he yelled out with a Squeak grabbing the Ragdoll and Holds tightly "I got it! I got the ugly Dragon!" he said turning to the tree for hailey to see

Hailey gasps, "b-but that's my dolly.." o_o she catches herself and she thinks for a minute.
"what are we gonna do wit it?"she asks.
She reaches for it, "it should be our PET!"

Zion turns and walks a step away "It may burn us! we must tape its mouth together!" he said grinning "then we can be safe!"

"um..." Hailey begins.."why don't we..um..not.." she follows after him. "He might like it better if I held hiiiim..er..please.." she says slowly. And quickly reaches over,taking her doll out of Zion's arms and nuzzling it."I think it's friendlier than it looks," she exclaims, still holding it protectively.

Zion blinked "Princess! careful! it will burn yoou!" he said tackling Hailey to the floor quickly. taking the doll out of her hands quickly, losing his grip of balence and rolls down the hill with the doll "il destroy it!" he said in a heroic voice

Hailey yelps,"NOOO don't DESTROY it!!!" She begs, and chases after Zion sliding down the hill. " Gimme him! I can handle him!!" she stumbles after him, "have MERCY why don't you?" she cries and finally manages to catch Zion by the tip of his tail."I beg you," she wheezes pleadingly.

Zion Turned over rolling over to face Hailey, his mouth open ready to fight back. But gazing into her eyes something inside his stomach Twisted up and kept telling him to stop "O..Okay" he said handing the Doll over. blinking as he comes back to Reality "Sorry.. I just thought.." His ears perked hearing a distant voice

"Thank you, thank you!.."she says greatfully and takes the doll gently,relieved.
She hugs it tightly, "oh..I..i-it's alright I guess..but..we can find another dragon!" she says, "theres bound to be more than one and-" She looks up hearin the voice also.
"That might be my mom!"
She squints at the approaching figure.
"That is her! I um have to go now..but thanks for playing with me, you're a lot of fun,Zion!"her eyes sparkle and she runs towards hermother, her bright blonde hair flying out behind her.
"I'm coming mum!"she calls.

Zion nodded "You were too!.." he said as he watched her run off. standing up on his paws with his Stick. Resting it onto his shoulder, Waving goodbye to Hailey as she reached her mum. Surprised for once he found a Friend. "She didnt treat me like the others did.. she was.. Fun!" he said in a low whisper. he ran around the tree to see Hailey gone, rushing over to return home. he be late for his food.

The next day

Hailey got up early and went to the breakfast table as usual,after eating her meager breakfast,her mother called her to the front yard.
"Hailey dear,would you mind going to town and getting somebread for me?"
Hailey couldn't believe her ears! "all by myself??"
"I thinkyou're old enough now, here's the money for one loaf, don'ttalk to strangersand don't fall in the river,okay?"
Hailey's head spun. An errand! all by herself! How grown up she felt!
She grasped the coin tightly in her little paw and set off as quick as he could for the bakers. Right as she rounded the corner,two burly,mean looking pups blocked her way.

"huh! Lookit whut we got here!"one exclaimed.
"some wimpy lil girl!" the other replied,"an she's got money, rufus!"
Hailey frowned, "let me pass!!"
She tries to barge through them,but she bounces back and falls, the coin slips out of her hand! One of the pups picks it up and grins. "I got er money!"
"Give it back!" Hailey says desperately.

Zion walked past the fences leading across town past houses, his stick running agaisnt the wooden fences making noise as he went, till he heard voices ahead. rushing over and just as he crosses the corner he spots Hailey and quickly scurries back to the wall, peeking around t he corner to spot two pups laughing at her and grinning, the same pups who picked on him. perking his ears to try hear what they were speaking, overhearing taunts and cruel words. Zion couldnt stand and let his only friend get bullied like he did. Looking down to the floor gripping his stick tightly. "I must help her.. I must be a. Hero!.." gazing up quickly Rushing around the corner charging towards the bullies with his Sword Withdrawn "GET your paws of her you Stinking Dragons!" he called. Passing around Hailey Swinging his sword quickly Around Smashing the Bullied arm as he teased her with acoin. Winding the Pup making him drop the Coin. Swinging again around towards the Pups stomach making him gasp for air. The other pup growled grabbing Zion from the back of his neck. Spinning in counter to smack his Legs making the pup Yelp in pain. Zion spun around to face Hailey Taking her arm "Lets get out of here!"

Hailey looks up in suprise as Zion comes to her rescue and stands up for her. she swipes up the coin as it drops and takes off with him as fast as her feet can carry her.
"Thanks..you..so...much!" she huffs, "where.. are.. wegonna.. go?" she questions with a pant and turns her head to see if the bullies are following them. "AAAH! Keep running, "she yelps, looking scared.

Zion huffed but kept running holding Hailey's arm "Of..Course" he huffed "Anywheres better then here right now!" He said Pulling towards a house, running inbetween two houses. circling around it to trick the bullies. after afew turnings around some houses and gardens. he found himself breathless, Slowing down and stopping at a Stone wall. "I.. think.. we lost them.." he looked out to the fields "Hey.. lets get out of town for abit.. they be searching for us! we need to hide!"

Hailey clings to his arm and slumps down next to the wall, completely out of breath. Her head lulls for a second. "We can't go back into town...my house is too far.."she looks ahead.."the woods," she whispers, "c'mon! they'll never find us there! She tugs on him gently, "okay? They'll give up looking after a while, " she reassures.

Zion turned to her as she tugged "Right.. Lets go then" he nodded as he threw his stick over the wall and Climbed over easily, turning to Hailey waiting for her to climb too.
