Denali gave a loud yip. "Momma! It Kai!" she called, running to the door, Ken joining her.
Lena barked behind Tai. "I was already outside, sis, let's go!" she said, starting off to see their sibling.
Balto yawned, hearing the howl. He knew something must be up and dashed off the boat, heading towards his son and daughter-in-laws den.
Fang nudged Kodi. "Kodi! Kai's calling for us! He's using an emergency howl! Somethings wrong!"
"Momma...what's an Amarok? Why is Grandma Lenatei so scared of it?" asked Cachen, worried.

Jenna nodded, looking at all four of her little pups. 'I know, I know." she said, waiting for her owner to open the door for them. She ushered them out carefully. 'Come on now, i'm sure everyone's going to be there." she said, surprised to see Blaze tuimble out of the doorway first.
Tai rolled her eyes, tortting beside Lena. "I wodner what's going on." she said, noting the hint of emergency in the howl.
Kodi woke up slowly, getting up rather quickly as he heard the howl. "Alright, let's go!" he said, dashing off to see his mate, hoping nothing was wrong with her.
"A spirit, a vengeful one." Katie, helping Aleu to lay down at the den. "That's all i know, dear." she said, knowing she probably said the wrong thing.

Denali dashed out the door behind her sister, Ken staying close to his mother. "Momma, that howl bad, isn't it?" she asked, knowing Kai was using an emergency howl, which meant something was wrong.
Lena caught that too. "We'd better speed up!" she said, dashing off.
Fang followed his friend closely. "I hope nothing bad happened..."
Cachen looked at his aunt. "Auntie Aleu...grandpa will be glad to see you, he really missed you." he said. "So did grandma."

Jenna nodded sadly, hurrying the pups along, and making sure Blaze was alright. "Yes, Denali. Kai's telling us something's wrong." she said, keeping the four of them as close as possible.
"My specialty!" Tai said, speeding off beisde Lena.
Kodi gritted his teeth, rushing off now. "I hope not, either." he said, dangerously close to looking angry.
Aleu smiled. "In thruth, I missed them too. But I had my destiny." said sagely as Katie laid her down.

"Sister in trouble?" asked a very worried Ken, going as fast as fast as his tiny legs could carrying him.
Lena followed as fast as she could. "Think momma is ok?"
Fang nodded. He sniffed. "Hey, do you smell something? It smells like one of your siblings, I just...I don't think I've ever smelled this scent before."
Cachen nodded. "Maybe this'll cheer you up, you're a big sister now." he said, smiling. "Grandma Jenna had four more puppies."

Jenna shook her head. "I don't know, Ken." she said, smiling. "It may not be."
Tai shrugged. 'I hope not." she said in a low voice.
Kodi sniffed, surprised at the scent. "I think I know... but it smells different from before." he said,wondering if it was who he thought it was.
Aleu's eyes widened, surprised."Mom had more?" she asked, smiling a little bit.

Lena nodded. "Something must be happening, Kai knows not to give that howl for no reason."
"Who might it be?" asked Fang.
Cachen nodded. "Yeah, four little pups, Denali, she kinda looks like you, Ken, he kinda looks like Grandpa, Blaze, she's like Kodi, and Derbin, another red pup." he said. "They're cute."

"I wish you were old enough to understand." Jenna said, not wanting to hide the truth from her pups.
Tai nodded, dodging past a tree. "Of course, I just hope nothing's wrong with Momma."
Kodi smirked. "it smells like my sister, Aleu." he said.
Aleu nodded. "as long as they're happy." she said, rather happy.

Denali whined. "I wish I older, I no like not understand things."
Lena nodded, dashing into the den. "We heard the howl! Whats going on?!"
"Oh, hey girls." said Cachen. "Aleu, these are my sisters, Tai and Lena, Lena and Tai, this is our auntie Aleu."
"Aleu? Oh yeah, I remember hearing about from Balto." said Fang. "I wonder why she'd be back."

"I don't like not being able to explain, Denali." Jenna said, licking her xcheek. 'But let's go see what's wrong."
Tai trotted in behind Lena, surprised. "Aleu?" she said, smiling a little. "Grandpa talks about you all the time."
Aleu smiled, layign inside the den. "You have my brother's colors." she said, a little amused that Tai looked exactly like Kodi.

Ken followed along his mother and siblings. "Momma...we there yet?"
Lena nodded. "Yeah, he really missed you." she said. Her eyes then lit up like Aleu's did.
Cachen watched his sister as she had a vision. "Auntie, Lena has the same gift Grandpa said you do."

Jenna looked up at the thickening trees smiling. "we're almost there Ken."
Katie went over to Lena concerned. "What is it, baby?" she asked in a kind voice, worried about what she might see.
Aleu nodded, smiling wider. "I can see that. It must be the wolf in you." she said, wincing as she moved a bruised joint.

"I see...a scary totem pole...it looks like a wolf...but it feels...evil." said Lena, whining.
"We're almost there!" said Fang to Kodi.

Jenna sniffed the air, and then grinned. "Aleu." she couldn't forget her daughter's scent. "It's another big sister, Denali." she said, nudging the pups forward, all except Blaze, who was hopping about in the snow.
"That's..." Aleu's eyes widened. "that's the totem pole that was broken, that held the Amarok."
Tai blinked, looking confused. "What IS the Amarok?"
