So... are we gonna start soon? If it would help balance it out, I can add Yoshi for the Mushroom Kingdom.

It was a normal day in the World of Trophies, the massive World having grown bigger as more and more worlds were represented here. Two of its new residents, Spyro and Cynder, flew through the sky, heading for the stadium.

"Hurry up Cynder! We're going to be late!" said Spyro, Cynder was up for a match today, and he didn't want her to miss it.

Cynder dashed forwards, passing by her boyfriend. "Now you hurry up!" called back the black dragoness, having changed somewhat, without the Dark Master Malefor standing over her head and threatening her and Spyro's lives.

Spyro smiled, glad to see Cynder happier, who could blaim her after what she'd been through for being relieved it was all over. Suddenly, Spyro's face turned to dread. "Cynder! Watch out!"

Cynder turned to run into a massive black armored figure, a red cape billowing behind him, but shadows covering him which made him hard to see. Cynder growled, getting into a battle position, Spyro landing behind her to back her up. "Who are you?!" snarled Cynder.

The being chuckled. "Someone much stronger than you."

Cynder snarled. "We'll see about that!" she yelled, jumpping at him.

The warrior laughed and held out his hand, lightning crackling around it. A blast of blue lightning erupted out of his hand and struck Cynder, causing her to cry out in agony. A small explosion occured, Cynder's trophy bouncing to the ground.

Spyro snarled. "You're going to pay for that!" he yelled, furious. A rainbow colored aura surrounded him and he unleashed an onslaught of purple fire on the armored tyrant, engulfing him in a large explosion. When he'd finished, he looked over the flaming area, confident that had done it. He turned to revive Cynder but suddenly, laughter came from the flames. Spyro turned in shock to see the tyrant march unharmed from the flames.

The Emperor laughed maniacly, dusting off his armor. "Is that all you got?" he asked. Spyro snarled and leapt at him, intending to get physical. The Emperor's visor lit up red and a massive beam of red energy shot out, completely engulfing Spyro and sending him flying back. When the beam faded, Spyro's trophy skidded across the ground, smoke coming off it from the beam as it stopped. "No challenge." the Emperor stated, cracking his neck. He ignored Spyro's trophy and picked up Cynder's. "Hello, my new general." he said, laughing evilly and vanishing into a cloud of red smoke, leaving the defeated Spyro's trophy laying as rain began to fall.

The stadium was packed to the hilt for the day's events. Samus set in the stands, waiting for the fights to start, eager to see what newcomers today brought. She looked over to see that Spyro and Cynder still hadn't arrived...they never missed the fights, Cynder more than Spyro. The announcer's voice came up over the intercom, attracting the bounty hunter's attention to the ring.

"Welcome everyone! Todays first match is about to begin! From the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario! And his opponent, from Hyrule, Link!"

Midna scanned the area, late to the main event, as usual. From afar, she witnessed the assault this new enemy had wasted on the dragons. Link's gonna kill me for being late, again, she thought wistfully. Though she thought of Link as her best friend since the Twilight drama in Hyrule, her old habits of lack of assertive loyalty proved hard to break. Sigh... well it can't be helped. She floats lazily over to where Spyro's trophy lay askew in the dust, and rests her index finger on the pedistle. Spyro briefly glows orange before reviving to his normal self.

"Well that went well, Hero!" she chided. "Come on; we're already late," she called, drifting ahead in indifference.

Link entered the arena, briefly swinging his sword in show. He shifted his feet into a ready position and curled his toes within his boots. Let's get this overwith... he thought as he gazed expressionlessly at the mustached plummer at the other end.

In the stands, Zelda found herself seated next to Peach; the seat Midna would have occupied was taken over by the blonde princess from the Mushroom Kingdom. Well this is ironic... she thought. I could bet three silver rupees that I sat in this very exact spot next to that person two years ago. This doesn't bode well.

She glanced briefly at the sky; if Midna were to appear at all, she would most likely fly over the stadium. Two other empty seats within the stadium's walls caught her eye; the ones reserved for Cynder and Spyro. Zelda turned around in her seat and faced her neighbor behind her, Samus.

"What in the name of Hyrule could be taking those two so long? Midna's no surprise; she's always late. But I'm beginning to worry even for her. Even she wouldn't want to miss this event!"

Spyro groaned, shakedly standing. "Why...why do I still feel so weak? Normally returning to normal after being a trophey heals you." he said. "Thanks...but was that guys attack that strong?" he asked. He then looked around, coming to the realization that Cynder was gone. "Cynder?" he asked, looking around. "Where's her trophey? Did you revivie her?" he asked, now getting worried. "Did that...thing take her?"

Samus nodded. "I know...it's not right, I know Spyro and Cynder, them missing isn't normal." she said. "And Cynder is schedualed for a match later, she would never miss a match if she could help it..." she said. "She uses these matches as a way to burn off everything that built up in her during the years Malefor used her as a slave, it's her form of release." she said. "Midna wouldn't miss this ether, that little Imp loves a good brawl....I'm having a bad feeling about this."

"And the winner of today's tourniment will take home this coveted trophy as a symbol of their victory!" said the announcer, refering to a golden trophy with a large multicolored crystal in it's front. "Best of luck to everyone!"

Midna winced; she hated being the barer of ill news. "Unfortunately, he did. I'm sorry Spyro, there wouldn't have been anything I could have done in her deffence; I couldn't even weaken Ganondorf all those years ago," she said, a rare tender side cracking through her gruff and sarcastic armor. "Let's get going; the longer we spend here, the longer Cynder is forced to serve that creep." She went on and darted ahead, glancing over her shoulder every now and again to make sure Spyro was behind her.

Yoshi glared at Kirby; the two of them were having a food eating contest, and fiery curry was on the menu. Already the lizard had consumed five platters; Kirby was on his sixth. The spectators sitting near the two consumption champions had already ducked for cover from the fiery blasts that would errupt from the looser's maw. Yoshi squeesed his eyes shut and wrapped his tounge around a sixth plate...

Zelda squinted; something along the horizon caught her eye, but the sun was shining so brightly that trying to track it made her eyes water. There! There it was again! What is that? A purple gem? No, that can't be right... Dragon scales? Dragon... that could only mean... "Spyro!" she gasped. "And there's Midna... Huh? Cynder's missing! I've got to talk to them; they're heading for the anouncer's booth. The games haven't really started yet; I should have enough time..." she muttered to herself. She quickly transformed into Shiek; her Shiekah form would be easier to manuver around in the large crowd than she ever would be able to in a dress.

Shiek turned to Samus. "I'm going to see what's going on. You coming?" she asked. She then turned to Peach. "Hey, you! Save our spots; we will be back shortly."

Peach stared blankly ahead, giving no sign of acknowledgement. "Go Mario! Do your best!" she cried, waving perfumed pom-poms in the air.

Shiek winced from the impact of the princess's loud, shrill voice and sighed. "Not the most reliable one, are you?" she muttured.

Fox was flying A-wing to the stadium with Falco on his tail. "We are entering the stadium,"Fox reported to Falco.
"You think I can't see that?"Falco snapped "And I have a extra cargo,"He flicked his head to Lucario. "Why do I have to have him in my A-wing?". "Because I said so!"Fox snapped back. Lucario sighed "I would've ran here you know,"He grumbled to himself.

Kirby glared back at Yoshi,at went for his seventh plate of fiery curry,but he couldn't take it any more. His mouth exploded with fireballs,and ran around in a circle.

Mario nodded to Peach,and then narrowed his eye brows at Link. Come on make the first move! he thought getting into fighting stance.

Spyro looked worried severely, but followed. "W-where'd he go? Did you see where he took her?" he asked. "Please...I have to find her...we've been through everything...she's never left me."

Samus nodded. "I'm coming, Spyro and Cynder are my friends, I never leave my friends behind if I have a choice." she stood up and checked her arm cannon before following Shiek.


"Ready...Go!" called the announcer, telling Link and Mario to go at it.

OOC: I'll decide who wins by watching the match, or you two decide.

Yoshi unleashed his victory cry and danced a little jig atop his seat. His eyes suddenly widened, watered, and squeezed shut. Fireballs escaped from his maw, showering down on the irritated spectators. Donkey Kong beated his chest and unleashed a fearsome roar; Diddy Kong jumped up onto his pal's shoulders and shot peanuts at Yoshi and Kirby.

"Owowowowowowowow! Waaah!!!" Yoshi whined in pain.

Link tightened his grip on his hilt, anticipating the ready signal

"GO!!!" the anouncer blared through the loudspeakers.

Link hurled his gale boomerang around the field, stirring up a dust cloud. He then pulled three bombs out of his sack, chucking them in three different directions into the fray, and raised his shield against the debre that showered down, as well as the fiery torents that were sure to follow from his competitor.

Midna glanced over her shoulder, quickly viewing the battlefield before catching up to Spyro. Not bad, Wolf-breath, she thought, a slight smirk spreading across her face.

She turned to Spyro, guilt turning her stomach again. "Sorry, but no. He used some sort of teleportation spell and vanished in a cloud of red smoke."

Shiek grunted in reply. She quickly leaped up to the stadium's next level, using Disapear to make up for the difference, gradually making her way to the top floor. Once there, she rested for a moment and quickly transformed back into Zelda.

Spyro's wings fell in his hopelessness. "...It's my fault...if I'd just grabbed her trophy and ran she wouldn't be in this mess, I had to lose my temper and attack that monster..." he said, feeling hopeless. "I...I've got to find her...who knows what might be happening to her right now..."

Samus used her various powers to make her own way up, grabbing the side and using her grapple beam to pull herself up. "Alright, do you see them anywhere?"

The Emperor returned to his base and had his minions chain Cynder's trophy to the table he set her on. He then revived her.

In a flash of orange light, Cynder's natural form returned, still weak from the Emperor's attack she struggled to keep her footing. "Where...where am I?" she asked, looking around until her gaze found the Emperor. "You! Where did you take me?! Where's Spyro?!" she asked, knowing Spyro wouldn't leave her unless something bad had happened.

"I wouldn't know, dear, I left his trophy laying where I crushed him." said the Emperor, causing Cynder to gasp in suprise he'd beaten Spyro so easily. "Now, as for where? My base, and why? Because I need another general for my army, and I've chosen you." he said, pointing to Cynder.

Cynder snarled, getting angry, though a little scared. She blasted the Emperor with Shadow Fire, though it didn't phase him. "No thanks! I've spent most of my laugh atoning for the last time I was an evil general!" she snapped, showing a slight sarcasium in her voice.

The Emperor growled and brought up his fist, giving Cynder a punch in the gut so hard it lifted her off the ground, only the chains stopping her. Cynder fell to the ground, coughing, frantically trying to catch her breath from having the wind knocked out of her. "My dear, I'm afraid you don't have a choice in the matter." he said, brushing off the ash from her attack.

When Kirby stopped running around in a circle he laughed as Yoshi's maw exploded with fireballs. But when Diddy Kong started shooting Peanuts at them he squealed. "Owowow!"He whimpered covering his body with his arms. But unfortunately that didn't help much.

Mario looked around helplessly in the smoke,then herd one explosion to the left,one to the right,then one sent him flying back and skidding into the ground. He grunted and got back up again "This is a pain,"He grumbled to himself,he looked around quickly and saw Link with his shield up,he then charged for him while his sight was limited by the sheild.

Fox looked through the the A-wing windsheild on the battle field. "They've started without us,"He reported with a smirk on his face,when Link's bombs exploded and saw Mario's figure fly into the air and then crash into the ground. He glanced around to see if anything interesting was going on besides the match. He then spotted Samus and Spyro. "New comer and one of our allies?"Fox whispered. "Come on Falco,"He said into the microphone and jerked his A-wing tword the landing station.

"Gotcha,"Falco nodded and jerked his A-wing after Fox's. "I wonder what's got his tail in a twist?"Falco muttered to himself hoping Fox wouldn't catch his little remark through the microphone.

Lucario felt the A-wing jerk and almost fell into Falco. "Jeez,can't you fly a little smoother?"Lucario snapped.

Falco glanced back at Lucario "Shut up,If Fox is that reckless there's got to be something up,"He said and turned back to his windshield.

"There," replied Zelda, pointing to the domed overhang. She quickly raised her skirts above her ankles and sprinted behind the fleet-footed Samus.

"I wouldn't be so certain, Spyro. That menace was targeting Cynder; he wanted to make her his general, and you got in his way. Eitherway, she would have ended up in his hands; you did the honorable thing and tried to defend her. Brash, foolish, but heroic nonetheless. All you hero's really do come from the same mold!" replied Midna.

Two white flashes caught her eye; the A-wings glided by in silver streaks. She idly caught herself waving to Lucario in Falco's cockpit and Fox. It wasn't until then that she noticed Samus and Zelda approaching.

"Where have you been!" demanded Zelda as she entered the area, brunette hair flowing behind her.

"Why? Where you worried?" Midna replied casually.

Zelda rolled her eyes in disgust. "Where's Cynder?"

Midna groaned; she hated bad news! But was Spyro in any condition to relay what happened? Emotionally he was a wreck!

Yoshi began swallowing the peanuts and spitting them back at Diddy in rapid fire; the monkey covered his head and shrieked, retreating behind Captain Falcon. The lizard turned to Kirby and gave a high five, hopping from one foot to the other in glee.

Mario flanked Link, punching him in the gut through the shield. Link staggard backwards, temporarily winded. He dug his heals into the terrain to keep himself from toppling over. He quickly unleashed a spin attack before Mario got too far away. Did I hit him?

Spyro gasped at Midna's explaination. "No...please no...not...not after all that's happened..." he said, tears starting. He looked up at Zelda. "Something...something beat us both...he...he took her...he's going to turn her into a general..." he said, looking down. "Why did this happen? After everything that she's been through...who could be so cruel as to turn her back into a monster?"

Samus growled at this, cocking her arm cannon. "Midna, what did this guy look like, you clearly know what's going on and Spyro has enough on his mind, it's hard for him to talk, let alone remember details." she said. "If you know what he looks like, who he is, tell us so we can go blow him to kingdom come and rescue our friend, if he's doing what I think he is, I'm going to make him pay, big time."

"Now Cynder, say goodnight." said the Emperor, picking up her head by the horns. A Darkrai, the one from the PMD games, appeared and used hypnosis.

Cynder struggled for her life, but the Emperor was too strong and forced her to stare into Darkrai's eyes. As her awareness dulled and finally sank into a nightmarish slumber, a tear ran down her face. I'm sorry...Spyro... she thought, knowing what was going to happen as she fell over, falling into a nightmare filled sleep.

Mario jumped back just before Link's spin attack. "That was close,"He whispered looking up and saw Link,He then launched fireballs as a distraction and ran to the right.

Fox saw that Minda had waved to them and he waved back,he landed. and opened the cockpit hatch. He jumped out and ran tword the direction where he had seen Minda. He saw them and skidded to a halt behind Zelda. He cleared his throat and asked "Where's Cinder? I was sure that she was going to be with Spyro-"He glanced quickly at Spyro and then back at the group.

Falco landed just behind fox and opened the cockpit hatch. He jumped out with Lucario at his heels. He skidded to a halt beside Fox. "Is anything wrong?"He asked bluntly and rudely.

Lucario followed and stopped by Fox and Falco. He just stayed silent while Fox and Falco talked. He wasen't the one to blurt out things rudely.

Kirby cheered and high fived Yoshi back.

Samus turned to Fox. "Cynder has been kidnapped by some creap." she said. "He said he's going to turn her into his new general, the guy was appartently strong enough to beat Spyro and Cynder without breaking no trouble at all." she said. "Personally, I'm planning to find this guy and blow him to bits for trying to turn Cynder evil again."

The Emperor watched Cynder contort and flail in the throws of nightmares. "Ironic, you have the power of fear, now fear has you in its grasp." he said. "Time to reawaken the evil sleeping inside." he said, putting his hand on her head, causing dark flames to spread out. Finally, Cynder's eye flashed open, glowing yellow.
