Kaya's heart immediatly began to race in worry. "That's not normal," she said, panic creeping into her voice. A strange look also stood on their owner's face, only increasing Kaya's fear. She had heard her owner's normal pulse....this was not it. "Should we get help, or something?"

Maybe Kaya sounded like a worry-wart...she didn't care. All she did care about was their owner's welfare, which seemed to be detoriating from the once healthy state it had once been.

Celtic's ears pricked. "Oh-no,"He said looking at his owner with worry. She seemed paler than usual. This is not good he thought looking at the others. "Who's going to get help?"he barked

Kaihlen howled in worry. She didnt like panic, it only made her panic, but tonight she was trying to stay calm."Ohhh! Why is it always panic that has to end such a good day!!" she whined in fear and worry.

Ash quickly jumped over the fence to go get help, but by the time he had come back with their owner's neighbor, it was too late. Ash yelped in pure panic. He saw his owner on the ground and could no longer hear the heart beats. "No.... No.... NO!!" He ran to her side, as did the man next door. "Oh god..." He felt her pulse immediately and there was nothing to be felt. He put his head down and sighed sadly. "She's... gone..." Ash looked up at him and whimpered. He licked their owner's face and let a tear escape his eyes.

Kaihlen let out a long, sorrowful howl.

Celtic ran over and saw Ash got help,he ran over to their owner and saw her lying on her side. "No..no,"He whispered laying his head on her side. "Why did this have to happen?"He whispered letting a tear escape his eye. He didn't usually cry but he did on occasions like this.

Kaya stood frozen in immense sorrow and terror; it seemed to be a physical thing that bound her in place. Her eyes were held still too, their brown depths locked onto their owner's pale, lifeless face. Finally, she moved, and lifted her muzzle, her tail tucked inbetween her legs. She let out a mourning howl, its haunting notes resonating through the air and adding more grief to the scene.

Kaihlen walked slowly over to the body and licked her owners hand. She let out a soft wimper and lay down by the body. She put one of her paws on her owners hand and the othet with her head on the owners body.

Ash was unable to comprehend what had just happened. He had seen it happen right before his eyes. He knew what had happened, yet, he couldn't bring himself to believe it. Had their owner really just fallen lifeless to the ground? Were they really left without a master in the world? All the conclusions merged to make him finally believe what he had just seen.

Their former owner's neighbor shook his head in greif. "Oh no..." he whispered. Then, suddenly, he ran inside, beginning to rummage through various papers. Once he saw a certain paper, he held it up in the air with gratitude. Ash tilted his head in a confused state. “What’s going on?” He whimpered towards the others. “What’s that guy doing?” He finally managed to wipe the tears fully away, although there was still a lot of sadness in his voice.

The man came to the dogs and read through the paper, nodding his head as he searched through it. When he found a certain group of words, he pointed his finger s on it, then turned his gaze towards the dogs. “Alright, guys, time to take you to your new home. Actually, we’ll just take you to mine for tonight. I’ll put you guys in your new home tomorrow.” You could hear the anguish in his tone, but he spoke trying to be strong.

With a click of his tongue, he made sure all the dogs were to follow him.

When Ash didn’t respond, the man made sure to grab a bunch of leashes out of the house. He put one around each dog and took all of the handles, allotting them to each hand. “Alright guys, let’s go…” he said solemnly. And with that, he began to lead the pets towards his home just next door.

Reluctant to leave her owner, Kaihlen looked up at the man and whimperd. She lay there for a few seconds, but finally got up and slowly followed.

Celtic hesitated he didn't want to leave his master,but sighed whispered good-bye to his master and followed Ash,his head hung low,and tail tucked between his legs.

While the others did leave releculantly, Kaya stayed firm. She sat down, digging her paws into the muddy ground for emphasis. She would not be moved from her owner's side....dead or not. That thought made her give a small whine again, and she licked her owner's still face. The flesh was already cool to the touch, and another whine was elicited from her.
