Duet had been ready to reply, when she paused. Had she just heard him right. Her pale yellow and gray tipped ears twitched. Glancing to the other two, her blue eyes caught on that they looked shocked as well, even Circuit.

"Did you say...1640?" Raich wasn't joking was he? But the male looked honestly truthful. "But...that can't be right..." Tazer snickered a bit.

"Ya can't possibly think we'd actually believe thats th' year. I suggest ya start talkin' before I really get mad." The Pikachu glared lightly, ready to carry out his threat if not taken seriously.

Raich tilted his head. "I i...don't understand." He said. From the distance, he heard his master call him.

"Rodent, get over 'ere!" Raich started to run to his master. The village was very old looking.

Left alone, they couldn't do anything but watch as Raich was called away by his master. Well this wasn't good, now what? Duet looked worriedly at Tazer, who was frowning. If they really were around the year 1640, which made no sense, they were in trouble.

"What do we do?" Circuit stepped up, still looking irritated and maybe a bit nervous.

"That idiot can't be telling us the truth! We should follow him and find out for ourselves." Tazer thought a moment, but ended up scratching his head in frustration.

"Either way, we need answers. Lets have a look around..." With that said, the small group started off in the direction Raich had gone.

Raich's master was a cranky old man, who did not like change. He spotted the other pokemon comming. He nudge Raich forward, if they got too close, he would give Raich the word to attack.

The small group glanced over, but their plans weren't to go after Raich right away. They were headed around towards the rest of the village to check it out. Maybe get more answers from someone who might know more. Not that the male Raichu wasn't helpful...just that he didn't seem to know the details. There had to be other pokemon around that could clear things up.

A totodile, watched them. She was younger. "You new 'round here?" She called out to them.

At hearing the new voice, the small group paused, looking over at the water pokemon. They knew there had to be more around the village. Duet smiled, being the most friendly of them.

"Yes, though there's a but more to it. Would you happen to know anything about this place? Or any others nearby? We're...lost."

"Thats putting it lightly." Circuit snorted, rolling her eyes.

The Totodile looked a little confused, "Theres another town, a few miles away. But this is the best place to trade..." The totodile said. "Your not from around here." It wasn't a question.

Once again Duet did the talking, though she didn't mind. Tazer and Circuit were still all on edge anyway, best not get either of them more frustrated than they were or another fight could break out. Not just between the two rivals, but other pokemon perhaps as well.

"No, not at all. But I don't think you'd believe us if we told you." she laughed a bit. "But is the year really around 1640?"

"Yea..." The Totodile said, getting a odd feeling from the group.
