Basically this boy, Bobby Pendragon, finds out he is a Traveler from his Uncle Press, and starts going across many worlds and seeing different inhabitants and time periods, having to stop the evil Traveler named Saint Dane. There are a few cuts between his story and his friend Mark. The first book is 'Merchant of Death', starting on the world Denduron.

Oooo, sounds cool! I'll check it out!
