Cloudedfur trotted silently through shadowclan territory pauseing every few seconds to make sure no one was coming after him and to check for prey. He went along for a short while more before coming on what he assumed to be a squirrel he stalked it expertly and pounced breaking its neck swiftly. He never relished killing animals and only did it out of nessecity.

A rush of emotions struck Sunspots at once; surely it should be an honor to be paw-selected for a task, even if it was babysitting, but was Bramblestar just trying to keep her out of the way? Only three moons had passed since she had been made a warrior; surely if this kit was worth protecting Bramblestar would have selected someone more experienced. Oakfur, perhaps. What was Bramblestar up to, anyways?

She soon realized that she was left alone in the Medicinecat's den, Jayfeather and Sunpaw left to collect herbs, alone with Onyx.

"So," she awkwardly began. "Welcome to Thunderclan. I'm called Sunspots, but you might have picked up on that already."

Suddenly, a furry body landed upon Sunspots's back with a thud, flattening her ears. With a quick twist, Sunspots attempted to throw her attacker off, but the persistant creature held firm with kittenish throrn-sharp claws.

"Geddoff!!!" Sunspots yowled.
"Eheheheh! I scared you didn't I? Admit it! I startled you, right Sunspots?" squeaked a white colored kit with a particularly fluffy tail.

"Nonsence!" Sunspots snapped. "Featherkit! Return to the nursery!"

"Awww, your're no fun, Sunspots! I'm going to be an apprentice soon--"


"I feel sorry for your future mentor!" Sunspots interupted.

"So I need to get in all the practice I can get!" Featherkit concluded, ice blue eyes smoldering from being rebuked. "And guess who I want to be my mentor!"

"Let me think..."

"I want it to be YOU, Sunspots! Eeheehee! You should feel privelaged. I would've pick Sandstorm, but... she's an elder now, isn't she?"

"She was when I was a kit!" Sunspots muttered. "And why would you want me?"

"Because you're so strong, smart, pretty--"

"Whoa there! You must have eaten a bit of spoiled meat! Now anyways, begone with you! I have some very important warrior buisness to attend to!"

"Can't I help?"

"No."

"Fine, then!" Featherkit pouted before stalking off indignantly to the nursery.

Sunspots was relieved to have the quiet of the medicinecat's den back, even if it ment being alone with the prickly Onyx. Unlike Featherkit, who she was secretly found of, she didn't know how to deal with her. She nervously licked her pelt, trying to regain some of her scattered dignity. There was a certain dignity in the kittypet's eyes that reminded her of the late Firestar. A cold gaze prickled her pelt. She turned to see the cold eyes of Tigerkit, Featherkit's brother. Sunspots positioned herself protectively in front of Onyx.

"Shouldn't you be in the nursery," she rumbled cooly.

A ShadowClan patrol passed through the marshy ground around the ThunderClan border. Blackpelt, a she-cat, paused and tasted the air. Russetstar, her mate, paused too looking questioningly at her. "what is it?" he gruffed.

"I dont know. I've never smelled it before. Intruder most likely! Probably a rogue."

"Nonsense," A gray male, Stormfang, hissed. "We havent had rogues since that old cat Sol passed through moons ago!"

"Enough!" Russetstar hissed. "We'll check it out regardless, lets get moving."

Onyx stared at Bramblestar, digesting what he just offered. She dipped her head once, having a new air of respect for this cat. "I will think on it."

Bramblestar nodded, then nodded once to his warrior. "You'll do well Sunspots. I have complete confidance in you." He got to his paws and shouldered his way out... the next thing on his mind were the new apprentice-to-bes.... and whom he should choose to be their mentors.

Tigerkit huffed, stalking over to the medicine den, though he looked more like the slinking kit that he was. 'Patience,' he told himself. 'Learn from the past...'

"I just want to see who the new arrival is," He whined, weaving around and spotting the black she-kit. He narrowed his eyes. "Kittypet," he spat, fur fluffing.

"Weak! Soft padded kittypet! What is Bramblestar doing?!" Tigerkit demanded the new warrior, his ember-gold eyes blazing.

Onyx blinked at the she-cat... Sunspots. What strange, but powerful sounding names these wild cats had. It made her pelt prickle anxiously. She couldnt remember much about her past, but she did remember that she dreamed of these woods, and its mysterious calls of freedoms.

In truth, there was nothing really to go back to. She didnt know how to properly get food and the farm around the lake was too far for her to get to on her own. She stared at Sunspots for a moment and lifted her head again.

She whipped around at the new kit and her eyes narrowed with a hiss. "I'm Onyx, to you!" she spat, her temper flaring.

"Who are you to fling insults! We're practically the same age!"


Tigerkit extended short but sharp claws, eyes flashing coldly. "You dont know who you're dealing with, kittypet! Get out and you might live. We eat kittypets for our meals if they stray too far into our territory," he threatened.

Onyx got to her paws, dispite the obvious agony she was in and her ears pricked forward. "You know NOTHING about me, and stop calling me 'Kittypet!' I do have a name! It's Onyx!"

"What's going on in here?!" Sunpaw yowled, dropping the package of poppyseeds she was carrying. "Tigerkit! Go back to the nursery, you're agitating my patient! Onyx, lay down, I have some seeds for you to help with the pain."

Tigerkit backed off at the medicinecat apprentice, though cold hatred was still in his eyes. "Yes Sunpaw," he squeaked. Going away... though not without catching Lionhearts, the ThunderCLan deputy, eye.

Cloudedfur pausedShadowclan! he thought he knew that stiff-legged gait they carried he had to escape fast he decided he'd take a risky move and bolt through Thunderclan territory despite the fact he'd been going in there the most of late.

"This way!" Blackpelt moved swiftly, her steps getting quicker as the scent got stronger. She suddenly hissed. "ThunderClan!"

Russetstar moved swiftly, catching the scent too. "Move quick!"

Stormfang looked up, ears pricking at the sound of heavy pawsteps. "SHh... you hear that?" The rest of the ThunderClan patrol stopped and listened as well, their ears alert and jaws wide. Stormfang extended his claws, itching for a fight.

"Lets go!" He dove into the bracken, spotting movement in the folliage nearby.

Suddenly, in a thunderous yowl from both sides, the ThunderClan and ShadowClan patrols met with pelts bristling.

"Which one of you crossed the border!" Russetstar snarled, claws unsheathed.

"What are you talking about! We heard you ShadowClan bumblers trudging around! You're crossing the the border!"

"ThunderClan softies!"
"Black hearted ShadowClan!"

"Enough!" Silvertail, a young but wise she-cat from ThunderClan, flattened her fur. "If you didnt cross... and we didnt, than what did? It was obviously a cat."

Stormfang yowled, attacking the larger cat.

Russetstar hissed in supririse. "ShadowClan, fall back!" This was a cat he's never seen before, and therefore couldnt trust.

Stormfang fought witht he larger cat, hissing... eyes wild for blood. He flashed his claws, scoring down the cats side, leaping to attack on his back, only to be thrown away by Berrynose.

The senior warrior snarled down at his clanmate. "Stop! Even Firestar taught you better!" He turned to teh cat... his childish ways behind him and stared at it.

"Who are you!" he spat agitatedly, tail lashing.

"We should take him back to camp," Silvertail meowed, looking at Berrynose... reading his thoughts. This cat wasnt a forest cat, nor did he have a kittypet scent.

"Are you kidding me?! Mouse brains, he'll take all our prey! He needs to be chased out or killed!" Stormfang growled. "That's what we do with intruders!"

A fourth cat, Sorreltail stepped up. "Pipe down Stormfang. You've now scared all the prey from here to Gathering Island! Let's go. Cloudedfur comes too."

Berrynose nodded in thanks for the support. Silvertail nodded too. Stormfang hissed but grunted in agreement.

"Come with us, we'll take you to Bramblestar," Silvertail meowed gently, licking Cloudedfur's good shoulder and nudged him in a direction.

((Heatherflight, it'll be difficult playing a ShadowClan cat, especially a leader, since the majority of the story is being told from ThunderClan, like in the Warriors Saga. If you would like to take an extra character that is in ThunderClan to keep up with the RP, thats fine, and I'll also leave Russetstar to you. But playing strictly as Russetstar in a diverse cat RP is difficult. I've asked before that players help partake in several of the warrior characters listed. If need be, we'll take turns playing some in case the player needs the character to say something important.))

Onyx had been talking quietly with Sunpaw, learning of the clan ways... and the more they spoke, the more excited she became. She felt that this was truely her calling in life! Perhaps this is where seh belonged.

She remembered the feeling of not truely belonging in the housenest with the housefolk with her parents... being fed and petted was not her idea of a life! Not one whisker! She allowed Sunpaw to place the medicine on her paws and though it stung at first, she relaxed on her side and felt the pain numb away.

"So... names are important to the Clans?" she asked, learning quickly from Sunpaw.

Sunpaw nodded eagerly. "Yes. When you're born into the clan, your name is given either by your mother, the medicine cat *read Bluestar's Quest* or the Clan leader, Like Firestar did when he first came. When you're six moons old, you become a 'paw. And after you complete your training, you become a full warrior. Though, I'll become a full medicine cat! But between you and me, Jayfeather's a hard medicine cat to please..."

Onyx purred abit in amusement. The cat was grumpy especially for a blind cat. She was no fool... she could tell. But she also respected him for it, knowing his vast knowledge of medicine is essential to the clan.

How strange, she thought. It feels I know them already after such a short time. She listened intently still until a strange odor tickled her nose and made her turn. A cat with a leopard print pelt had entered the camp and made her ears pull back. She cold sense the cats air of power... a sense of dignity. This was not a cat to mess with.

"What about him," she gestured with her tail. "Is he one of your clan?"

Sunpaw turned to look and frowned, shaking her head. "No," she mewed. "I've never seen him before." At that moment, Bramblestar appeared from his den and strode towards the group, a look of calm and determination on his face.
Bramblestar nodded, getting to his paws. "Thankyou Berrynose. Please summon Lionblaze, Sandstorm, Jayfeather, Cloudtail and Brighteart."

He strode out of his den and spotted the strange looking cat. He kept his calm and stopped... sensing this cat couldnt see. His eyes just like Jayfeathers. he dipped his head. "I am Bramblestar, leader of ThunderClan. What is your name?"
