Lyllii's inquisitive eyes became quite serious. "It seems as though we are of same kin, in that respect. Parinoia can, and will control anyone, if we let it. I call myself Lyllii," said the nymph. Her sensitive ears picked up the faint sound of music, drifting downwards from high above their heads.
"That is no bird..." she murmured, distracted once again. "And where did my other 'attacker' wander off to? Huh!" She crossed her arms and scowled, before realising that she had ignored Kasha again.
"Err, what do you call yourself?" she asked the anthro, giggling nervously.

Bell`s sensitive hearing picked up the nymph`s mutter and she frowned pausing her playing for a second. "Oh yes I am no bird and one such as you must have sensitive hearing, but are you my friend? Or my foe?" She muttered, her voice itself a melody but also mysterious and sad. Her reached back to her bow on her back barley touching the tip. If they were foes she would have to be quick and percise.

Lyllii sighed. "A cocked bow I hear," she murmured in a low whisper, barely loud enough for evcen the anthro to hear. "Above us in the tree at 6:00 o'clock. Since when did this forest become so crowded?" she complained. "What do you usually do in situations like this?"
Lyllii casually watched the branches above for movement from the corner of her eye.
OOC: we should probably wait for Kittynator to post next...

Let me get a post in first....

Kasha tiwtched her tail. "I'm Kasha," she said formally. If she were to say anything else, it was interrupted by Lyllii, who had once again began talking. "Attack," she replied simply, unsheathing her staff as a precaution. She took up a ready stance, her staff held loosely at her side, ready to swing into action. "But that may not be you're method," she added.

OOC: Kittynator dropped out, so I'll be taking over Hunter. BIC: Seeing that there was nothing to interest him, Hunter quietly continued on his way, never to cross paths with the others again. OOC: Sorry about the short post, but now we can continue the Roleplay.

Lyllii's eyes narrowed. "Technically our eavesdropper went on the offensive first, but if they were indeed an enemy, they might have already shot an arrow at us. Either way, it would probably be wisest to ambush and see what they want," she murmured to the anthro.
Swift as a shadow, she blended into the tree, awaiting for Kasha or the newcomer to strike before counter attacking.

Kasha nodded, though her tail lashed in a mixture of anticipation and adrenaline. After waiting a brief, tense moment, she decided to attack, her racing heart and boiling blood refusing to allow her to be patient. She swiftly climbed the tree, and was quickly balanced on a thick branch, the rough bark giving traction to her padded paws. Her burning amber eyes narrowed as she stared at the elf on the tree, a flute held in one hand, the other reaching towards her bow. She held the staff in a threatining position, as a warning not to move.
"What business do you have here?" she asked.

At the sudden appearance of the anthro she lost her balance for a brief second. "My bussiness is my own." She replied managing to stand up on the thin yet sturdy branch of the tree. Her hand slowly came to her side. "Not all those who wander are lost." She said softly before back flipping off the branch to land with a slight stumble onto the ground yet like a cat she pulled herself. She went into a slight bow, "We have a few things in common," She said. "Yet we are different as well." She continued.

"How charming," Lyllii replied dryly. "You have yet to tell us your name. I assume you've already heard our introductories, but have you?" The nymph shrugged indifference, but continued to pin the elf with her eyes. As most creatures who crossed paths with the world outside the forest, she was wary with strangers. But unlike the anthro, the elf's "humanistic" appearance unnerved her.
An image flashed briefly before her eyes. His face was hidden by the shadows, but his smile was unmistakeably evil. His malicious laugh echoed dully in her ears...
Lyllii shook her head; this elf had nothing to do with the human predator who still continued to haunt her dreams.
"Please pardon my behavior if it seemed unaturally obscene," said the nymph, her eyes staring blankly off into the distance.

Kasha easily landed on her feet as she lightly jumped down. Her staff was still held in a wary position, aimed at the elf's chest. The hardnened, rock tips would puncture skin easily if the action was necessary. She was growing impatient, as she easily did, and curiousity had a strong hold on her. "You name?" she asked, repeating what Lylli had asked, though her tone seemed to demand an answer.

Bell ignored the staff pointed at her chest. They both had a good reason to be carefull and so did she. "A-" She began before biting her tongue before she said something stupid or endangered her secrecy. "Bell you may call me Bell." She said the smile that had lighten up her face earlier vanished.

Lyllii raised an eyebrow. "Fine. 'Bell', then. I would ask you what brought you to this place, but we all have our secrets, don't we?" The nymph shrugged. "Welcome to our 'jovial band'. We-"
A tremendous rumbling interrupted whatever Lyllii was about to say. "What on earth was THAT?"
Her companions didn't have a chance to answer her question, which was mainly retorical to begin with. A crack split the earth between them, drawing a jagged line between Lyllii, and Kasha and Bell. Lyllii reacted on impulse and leaped the ever-widening divide, clearing it just in time before a fountain of fire erupted from the now canyon.
The sky became a black peal; cloudy and black, blocking out the sun. Lyllii glanced at the surroundings around her. All the trees were already inflamed columns of smoke. Lyllii quickly donned her boots. Three large leaves sprouted by her feet. As soon as they reached the size of her face, she swiftly plucked them, leaving the long stem on each leaf, causing a brief peppermint aroma to cut through the acrid air.
"Quick! Put these over your faces before it's too late!" she shouted over the fray of fire and earthquakes.

Kasha's cat reflexes had saved her once again, and she quickly grabbed the leaf, sheathing her claws so she wouldn't tip it. Holding it over her muzzle with one paw, she sheathed her staff with the other, her amber eyes watering from the smoke. "What's going on?' she gasped, her keen instincts sceaming at her to run. But she wouldn't leave what alreayd felt like friends, something she was never granted.

At the sudden crack in the surface of the earth they stood on. Bell was sent flying backwards luckily she caught the leaf and put it over her mouth with one hand, while putting her boots on with the other. This reminded her all to well of another day that was a tragedy. She closed her eyed at least with the heat it would look like sweat if she cried. She slowly stood seeing plainly everywhere the evident damage.

"I'm not sure!" Lyllii shouted to Kasha. "But this is unlike any Fire stradegy. If only I could see above this smoke!"
Before her companions could stop her, the nymph quickly scaled a large burning tree, allowing herself to glimpse parts of the wooded mountainside when the wind stirred the acrid smoke. "Ahh! There! A Water city at the base! That has to be the target. But why destroy the forest with it?" She quickly leaped down from her branch, landing beside Kasha, and broke out into a run. "Come on! This whole place is errupting! Maybe we can reach the outskirts of the forest in time, and warn the city on our way out!"
OOC: they're in the low foothills, not neccesarily very "deep" in the forest with how big it is (pictures Fangorn forest near Isengard)
