Alrighty guys. Here's everything currently known about Legend of Korra:


*Korra is the Avatar after Aang. (this is a DUH)

*The new series is set 75 years after Sozin's Comet.

*Korra has already mastered three of the four elements, and now seeks to learn Air. She finds a teacher in Aang and Katara's son, Tenzin.

*It is likely that Tenzin is in his 40's or older.

*There is a character named Meelo, but we are currently unsure of exactly who this character is. Current popular beliefs are that he his either a kid from the Earth Kingdom, or perhaps Tenzin's son.

*Dante Bosco, who voiced Zuko in the first series, will be voicing someone in Legend of Korra.

*Dee Bradley Baker, who did Appa, Momo, and other animals, will also make a comeback in the new series.

*There will be a flashback to when Korra was five years old. Young!Korra will be voiced by Dee Bradley Baker's daughter, whose name, ironically, is Cora.

*The story is set in a place called Republic City, a hodgepodge of all four nations.

*There are several anti-bending revolts going on in Republic City. Reason is currently unknown.

*We will get to see how Aang dies.

*It has been said that the entire generation we see in the first series has died. We are not quite sure whether or not this is official.

*Mike and Bryan, the creators, have stated that the Cabbage Man's legacy will live on.

*They have also mentioned that there is a definite link between this series and the first.

*It has been confirmed that Eva Marie-Saint and Rob Paulsen will be voicing characters, though we don't know who.

*The series comes out this fall (2011).

But that's not the point. Anyhow, update: It has been confirmed that the Track Team with be composing the score. For those of you who don't know, they're the ones who did the music for the original. They say it will be like "the roaring 20's with an Asian twist."

Hm, the roaring 20's with an Asian twist... now that could be anything XD

Is it just me, or does Meelo resemble Sokka?

Beats me. XD But I guess we'll just have to see what they come up with. They're great composers, after all. I think we can trust 'em. ;D

And....hm, yeah, I can see why you'd say that, but I personally don't think he dose.
No one really knows who Meelo is yet. All we have is that doodle. I recall an old rumor that a five-year-old auditioned for his voice, but whether that is true or not, I'm not positive; however, it is still thought for him to be pretty young. One popular speculation is that he may even be Tenzin's son, as mentioned before, but again, we have no idea.

I kinda hope that Toph returns, for at least a cameo appearance. I know it's gonna be a different cast of characters, but at least seeing her as an old lady would be awesome.

Do you have any idea how many descendants from the original cast there will be? We already know there will be a Zuko descendant and Aang descendant, but are there any others known?

@JerRocks2day--Lol, yeah, it would. XD Unfortunately, I heard from one source that all the original cast will have died. Now, this has not been confirmed, but...still.

@Wolf Paws--Other than Tenzin, no other Gaang descendant has been confirmed. Zuko descendant is likely if the above about the original cast dying is true. A few people think Korra could be a Sokka descendant, but I personally doubt it. Other than that, other descendants are possible, but nothing's been said.

GASP.

I can't wait for this. At all. I have only been as excited as this for two other things recently: The Harry Potter finale and the upcoming Tintin movie.

This looks amazing. I can't wait to see what they do with it. And the potential for telling the stories of everything that's happened in the last 75 years is immense! They'll be able to show us the old cast's entire lives through flashbacks.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, as I've said before, is one of the best TV shows made in the last decade. The writing and storytelling is absolutely superb, the art style is beautiful and the voice acting is top notch. You rarely see shows that are almost so completely flawless as this. The fact that the new series has the same people in charge of it makes me very excited.

I absolutely cannot wait for this. Thanks for sharing all the new pictures and the trailer.

edit - J.K. Simmons as Tenzin?! Oh man, what a great casting choice. He will be PERFECT for that.

Anyway, I'm totally excited for this show SOOO MUCH! And I also have some news.

Some music from the Legend of Korra has been released, and most of it is on youtube right now! Just to warn you though, some of the music is pretty jazzy, since its supposed to be in a 1920's type setting. Just saying, you WILL be surprised. I happen to think it's amazing, but you might think differently.
