"You don't have to worry about me. I'll always return." Temple promised. "I'll hear the wind call your name."

Destiny looked down and said "I'll miss you, Temple, but you better get going before their scent disappears completely."

Temple nodded, gave her sister a swift lick on the nose, then took off into the rising sun.

Destiny looked up and said quietly to herself "You'll always return, Temple,................but I won't." She turned around and walked back to the pack and told her brothers and Jemimah the news.

Jemimah sighed. "I hope she comes back."
Trick frowned. "If you ask me, we've seen the last of her."
Temple ran down the sandy path.

Tiger growled lowly at Trick and said "Watch your tongue, Trick. It has always gotten you into trouble as a pup and it looks like you still and always will have that tongue."
Buddy nodded his head and said "Tiger is right."
Destiny just looked into the horizon and said "Well, I'm done here. I'm going to sleep." She went to her sleeping spot and slept.

Jemimah went to go find some random he-dog.
Trick stayed with his brothers.
Temple caught a smell of her parents, and raced down the trail.

David smelled a dog that was upwind and turned to face the smell. He said "Back off! Back off now or I'll kill you!!" The humans heard the barking and turned around with guns pointed towards the direction David was barking.

Temple heard the bark, and slipped silently away, yet still in the range of the dog.

David sniffed the ground and looked up at the humans. He whimpered and the humans continued walking to their place.

David growled low and said "Leave and don't follow us, dog. I don't want a lot of dogs killed but if you all pose a threat to my master getting the streets back under his control then so be it and you all will die. You guys stole the streets and the streets need to be back in the rightful hands." He followed the humans.

Temple snarled. "Face me like a real dog." she muttered to herself, then padded away.
