Good idea The site really lacks games. I have to work on that, among many other things, so you have my "go ahead".
I have added a subsection in the "Other" board dedicated to the Scavenger Hunt. (if you want me to move it to another section, tell me)

Maybe some of the games could be some tasks that could help the site...like webranking tasks. Eg. : add the site(s) on directories, talk about it on forums, on Deviantart, Youtube, write an article, ask for links exchanges, etc...)
If necessary the site admins could give temporary permissions for that.

The more different types of challenges the better!
I'll probably get to work on setting up those challenges and have this ready for summer time.

Sounds excellent. One good thing to keep in mind with challenges is to help bring the more dead sites alive as well. For example, drawing fan art to submit on The Princess and the Frog Source or making the beat graphic for TaleSpin Source. Get some activity running instead of a bunch of Balto Source competitions, you get what I mean? I think it'll be great to have a variety of competitions (not all at the same time, of course) for each source. Perhaps it would attract some new visitors as well?
I love steet's idea about the Webranking competition as well.
All in all, this scavenger hunt idea sounds fantastic.
One more question though: are moderators allowed to join in teams? Or is it jut our job to activate the stuff sent in? I'm a moderator for TLKS but I think it would be nice to send some stuff in for other sources as well for the competition. ;]

I've already incorporated the other sources into the challenges. It is the Animation Source hunt, not Balto Source. I wanted to make sure every source got it's mention.
Aswell as advertising tasks. ;D

Mods certainly can indeed join teams. The only people who can't are people organising the hunt or judging the hunt.
Currently only myself & Togo.
