does this apply for all the other Sources too?

Yes. Just adding text is not an accepted edit on any of the sites. Other lazy edits such as reversing the colors, or those snow or flame animations you can get online are also not allowed.

The only real problem I see here are blank renders are supposedly becoming the new line art.
I'm not sure where I stand here, quite a few of the blank renders are very creative and mix several screenshots together to create the one image. I think that this is a new thing so we should wait and see where it goes.

But a few people here are moreso arguing about renders in general than blank renders. Do not confuse the two! It has already been stated renders are acceptable atm, that belongs in another topic.

I agree with the fact that blank renders seem to be taking over BS, SS, most of the Sources. If you color in a blank render every once in a while, that's ok. You've lost inspiration for the day, I can understand. I have days like that too. But if your gallery is filled to the brim with blank renders, that's just being lazy and uncreative.

However, I strongly disagree with no renders on the site. What's wrong with a render you made yourself? What's wrong with a render over a screenshot that you worked hard on? It's a way to express your characters in a way that's slightly easier than drawings. I fill my Image Gallery with both graphics and renders that I made myself.

I agree to not overuse blank renders so much, but no renders in general is just going overboard. Renders you made yourself should be fine. That's not being lazy. It's simply a way of making images of your characters without having to draw so much.

Also, some users may be bad artists. They may not want to draw very much due to the fact people will not like their drawings. That might be why some people do more renders than drawings. Others might do renders instead of drawings because they're better at computer graphics than hand drawn things. I myself like to both draw and make renders, but as I said before, rendering is slightly easier as it is done on the computer.

I totally agree, the blank renders are taking over the galleries. Yeah, okay, filling in one or two just to show a few markings for a ref is okay, but it's the people that have nothing but blank renders, blank renders, blank renders, and absolutely nothing else, except a few linearts that need to be reprimanded. Also, people that post links on the SB of a filled in blank render, saying 'Comment plz!!!!!11!' tick me off as well. What's there to comment on? Well done- You can successfully use the fill-bucket tool on Paint or GIMP. And even then you do it wrong. Renders are quite easy to make if you have the patience,so why use blank renders all the time? How do you think the blank render artists make so many of them? Please, people. Don't turn them into the equivalent of Kay Fedewa linearts, which are horribly over-used. Especially when you use them for the wrong breed. It's not big, and it's not clever.

I have one or two renders i've colored in my gallery, and I really kind of feel bad about it. I know that's really weird, but I feel like I'm cheating. I mean, I give the blank render-er, their (c), but still i feel, i dunno, lazy...? So i've gone back to making my own renders.

I don't think we should get rid of renders completely, I think we should slow down on the lineart a bit, especially for those, namely me, who can't really do any images (besides renders) or drawings because we are computer and pencil challenged :P

But yeah, I'm tired of seeing Sofiel and Kay's lineart all over the place (no offense to either of them, they are very good renders)

I agree with what Hunter has stated but I can draw but not as well as most known popular artists do so that is why I render alot more than drawing nowadays^
