I made a character page... I didn't even PLAN to make one... but someone wanted me to, so I did.
But I do not make hundreds of characters. I haven't really made even ONE really. Only one I HAVE made is my fursona, and I am keeping it that way. I don't want to create hundreds of characters and stuff. Plus the twilight thing.. WOW O.O People can be so unoriginal.
On my character page (That I didn't really want to put up) I didn't put "Balto's Friend" Because I knew that would be all weird.
I did get help for the balto related thing, but What I have is better than that. what lots of people have is better than that.
So I agree completely with you all here.

the newest one is the daughter of the edward and bella dogs lol, guess what her name is. people try to say "but she's not a were wolf or a vampire she just has the name" as far as i am concerned if her parents are named edward and bella, with this history of a crappy love triangle, and she has the same name as the book/movie characters bella and edward "child" then yeah it's just as bad. Isn't making movie character dogs just about as bad as making a sparkle dog? I mean if you really think about it, how on earth would bella, edward, renesemee, jacob and the rest be anyway related to balto? comensence is fading away on this site by ALL parties lol

I don't know how official characters made into wolves/dogs are getting accepted... They are NOT allowed because of their copyrights. Plus their hardly FAN-characters if they already belong to someone. Please report those and any others that are breaking rules. Even if you're not sure, go ahead and report it. Better to know then have it go on breaking the rules, and not reported.

Well, I'm got gunna bow down to cat, but I do agree with most of what she's saying. The twlight part is also become a Pecry Jackson problem too- Name: Percy Siblings: Thalia, Annabeth Parents: Posiden, Sall jackson I got one main thing to say: If You Like The Move/Book So Much, Stop Making It Look Bad With Crappy Characters. How hard is that? But the whole thing with the balto characters- I agree but cat, don't act like your not at fault too, everyone makes mistakes. Your character General- No realationship to Balto- Dosn't even live in Nome. T_T And your yelling at other users. Not trying to flame but Crispen-Gobstopper....You still draw them, they're your characters... Now I'm probably gunna get flamed and General's profile's gunna update with a new story, but I'm just stating facts....Nobody's perfect.

Well just to note, Crispin and Gobstopper aren't even on the site as character profiles anymore. General's the only one of mine not related to Balto, which is saying more than alot of characters I could name off right now. Is he a lame rip-off? Certainly not.

I didn't say he was a rip-off (There are probably characters ripped off of him though ) I'm just saying he dosn't have a relationship to Balto. However, I know what you mean, with the other characters.

I agree with all that you are saying, but just one thing. Not every character that has the name Edward/Bella/Jacob is involved in a "love triangle". I myself have watched Twilight, and to be honest, I like it. I'm not obsessed with it (like a lot of girls are) but I think it's kinda cool. I made a character with the name Jacob but it was completley NON twilight fan-made. If you don't believe me, here is his character page: http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en ... 10994.htmlSo just to sum it up, you are saying every single character with either of these names have to do with Twilight. That is very untrue. Just because the character has the same name doesn't mean it's based on Twilight. Another example (but doesn't have to do with fan characters, real life actually): I have a puppy named Bella. At first, while trying to decide her name, she looked so much like a Bella. But then I thought about it and realized Bella was the name of the main character of Twilight. I was almost too afraid to name my own dog because I thought people would think I named her after Twilight. For pete's sake, why does everything have to be related to Twilight over a NAME? I eventually went with the name because I didn't first think of it because of Twilight. I thought of it because it's a pretty name. It means beautiful in italian. My dog looked like a Bella. I wasn't gonna let the fact that people hate Twilight stop me from naming my own dog. That's my only point. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is my opinion. And probably the truth to A LOT of people who are like me.

And probably the truth to A LOT of people who are like me. Yea that all very well may be, but those of you who use the names of those particular characters without it being Twilight-related are not the majority of the people here. And that's a problem. (I personally think it was your inner fangirl(boy?) coming fourth from within your subconscious when you decided to name your dog "Bella" after reading Twilight. But that's just me, I may or may not be right.) And your Jacob isn't the best described character, no offense but it is pretty short and vague. So I wouldn't have even known if he was based off the Twilight character Jacob or not. I would've guessed you did since a Twilight fan commented on it, simply cuz of the name. Which further adds to my irritation on the subject, when crazed Twilight fans will start foaming from the mouth in excitement simply because someone in real life has the name of a Twilight character, and it ruins their reputation due to fangirlism. I'm aware that there are past characters with the name(s) even from those who haven't even heard of the series (at the time) but they don't really matter anymore because they either aren't used that often, aren't used anymore, or are deep within the depths of the past characters where nobody can find them. They are completely drowned out in the sea of Edwards, Bellas, and Jacobs and there's no saving them.

They are completely drowned out in the sea of Edwards, Bellas, and Jacobs and there's no saving them. Actually, it's been almost four years since I've read Twilight, therefore I have forgotten what the books were even like. That Jacob character was named after a name I saw on a site. I didn't know what to name the new character so I looked online, saw the name and said "oh that name sounds cool; I'll use that" and as I stated before, I saw the name Bella for my dog, and wanted to name her, but when I remembered it was the name of the main character from Twilight, I was almost too afraid to name my own dog. I didn't use my "inner fan girl" as you call it. I picked the names because I liked them. And actually, for the record, my Jacob character was the first one (as you can tell since it only says Jacob, nothing else)

We're talking about people who name characters after official characters (in this case Twilight) with the intent of using them as the official characters but with far less effort put into it.
