"Nah, I can share," he said, smiling for the first time in almost a year. "So what's your name?" he asked.

"No problem. And the name's Hunter," Hunter said, then he began to sink his fangs into the lifeless body.

Hunter began to drink the blood, but stopped for a brief moment. "So November Star... why are you here in the city?" he asked, then continued drinking blood.

Hunter's ears shot up in surprise. "You live here? In the city? Around all these humans?" he asked, shocked.

"Well, I... uh...." Hunter stammered. "Well.... let's just say my life's nothing like a stroll in the park. I try to avoid the city as much as possible."

Hunter shifted his paws a bit uncomfortably. He had never explained his past before to anyone, so he wasn't so sure he should tell just anyone. Even still, he felt some kind of connection to November Star, even if she was new to him. "It's, uh, a long story..." he said, trying one last time to change the subject, but not succeeding very well.

"Well.... alright... I guess it's ok to tell," he said. He breathed heavily and explained his story. "I was orphaned by a hunter when I was only a week old. I've had to struggle and survive on my own because no pack would take me... But when I was about two years, still a teenager, I ventured into the city for once. I was with one of my only friends... Victor? Matt? I forget his name at the minute... But anyway, we were somehow able to turn into humans. How, I'll never know... and some human girl got my attention. She convinced me to go into an empty room and she bit me. She was a vampire who 'just so happened' to like animal blood and could smell mine even in human form..." he said with pain.
