THe female wolf-dog padded along silently, snow coating her, and making her pelt look lighter than it already was. She shivered, a deep chill entering her. I have to find others, find someone who knows where shelter is, Sadie thought fervently. The scent of others made hope flare in her, brief, but strong. She surged forward, her weariness forgotten, along with her hunger.

Fenris ear twitched. He could sense yet another canine was near him. He wondered if it was a sneak attack against him, but then he shook his head, Stop being paranoid! he told himself. Then he snuck through the woods, towards the other canine. He would see if they acted friendly, and then decide to appear or not.

Scythe sat alone in the cold snow, his tail wrapped itself around his legs. Snow flakes fell upon his jet black fur and made him appear like a black and white wolf while really, he was a pure black wolf. His golden-coloured eyes scanned his surroundings, looking for any signs of other wolves. There were none. Scythe sighed, his breath appeared as a puff of white mist in the frosty air. He shivered every now and then, for it was so cold, this winter was colder than all the other winters. He lay down and curled up, trying to keep as warm as he could. He slowly closed his eyes, but they snapped back open when he heard someone shout "wolves!". 'Wolves?!' He thought, in desperate need of a pack. He was an anti-social guy, but that didn't matter right now, all that mattered now was finding the other wolves and fast. He shot up faster than a speeding bullet and ran towards the scent of others. "Hey! Anyone?! Tell me where you are!" He shouted.

Aridane stopped in her tracks. She could smell wolves all around her,
and in fear, she let out a whiny howl. She grabbed Midnight,
who was getting colder, and backed away into a group of dead bushes.
She started getting less exited of the idea of meting other wolves.

Fenris heard the whiney howl. He yipped back, in response. He decided to exit the cover of the trees. "Hello?" he asked, walking towards Aridane. "Who are you?" he questioned, still trying to stay partly hidden.

Aridane heard the voice, "H- hello... is someone there?" she said in a slow voice. Then abruptly Midnight bounded out towards Fernis and into the bushes. "Midnight! Stop!" Aridane called out for her pup.

Fenris lifted a paw, and looked at the pup, sort of surprised. "Hi?" he asked. Then he saw the adult. "Hello?" Fenris picked up the pup, who was probably half his age, and walked into the clearing, and set the pup down. "Hello."

Sadie heard voices. Maybe it meant they were friendly. Or at least not hostile. She cautiously padded forward, her brown eyes flicking to and fro. SHe spotted two wolves, and a smaller pup, talking. Her paws making no nosie on the snow-laden ground, she began her appproach, aleady planning her escape, if it deemed necessary.

Fenris' ear perked, as he remembered the other wolf he smelled. It was coming, too. He continued the conversaton with the other wolf, "The name's Fenris. I'm a hybrid." he explained.

Sadie finally got close to them, and spoke. "Hello," she said, her voice soft, but audible.

"Hi." Fenris said, turning around. "The name's Fenris. I don't mind if you canines call me Fen, though." he shook his fur a little, making some of the snow fall off his pelt. "Shouldn't you three be with your packs?" he asked, seeing if they were loners like himself, or not, "Or are you loners?"

Scythe crept closer to the group, curiosity had driven him this far. Closer, closer, closer...SNAP! Scythe had stepped on a fallen branch and it had snapped, creating a loud noise.

Fenris' fur stood on end, from the loud snap, in the quiet woods, "Who"s there?!" he questioned, peering around the clearing, looking for anything there. His fur settled down a little bit, and his heart stopped racing. "Probably just another loner. Probably friendly, too." he thought out loud.

Fenris' choice of words slightly angered Scythe. "I'm not a loner!...I'm just...Alone." He growled, stepping out of the bushes. He knew it was a pathetic come-back but it would do for now. He frowned when he realised the other wolves were not a pack, but infact other loners. 'Great, I came looking for a pack to join..and all I find are a bunch of lone wolves.' Thought Scythe.

Sadie found his arguement rather pathetic, but said nothing, only dipped her light grey head in greeting.
