I think that Kopa was meant to be king, but was killed by Zira. This all happened when Kopa met Vitani and Nuka and Zira saw this happen like she saw Kovu and KIara, but killed Kopa instead of using the friendship like she used Kovu and Kiara's.

I think Disney was lazy. ...and had bad writers...

Doesn't seem very 'Disney like' [before it's pointed out, I'm aware they kill characters off, even young ones (i.e: young gorilla in Tarzan)].
They aren't known for killing off characters like that after you've gotten to know them a little if they're that young [as far as I know].
...even if he was only in the books. And with the writers they had for TLK2, it just doesn't seem like it would've been their style.
So yea. I think Disney just got to lazy/cheap to draw him in the sequel. Would've added to much distraction from the plot too.

I like to think that Zira attempted to hurt Kopa, but instead scared him away and forced him to run off into the jungle! And who knows? Maybe he ended up hanging out with some other meerkat and warthog

6NA is not cannon. Disney did not make it. The cub at the end is Fluffy. End of story.

I like to think that Kopa went out to play or explore one day, accidently went out to far (like far enough that he couldn't see PrideRock anymore), and then got lost and was just never able to find his way back. I do like to think that he survived on his own and met some friends along the way that he started some sort of group with. I don't really like to go with any of the theories that he died, I guess because there have been a few death's in the family tree already. And I don't really think that Zira killed him. Not only because he was protected but that if he was murdered by Zira then I think Simba would have done a lot more than just exile her. I do like to think that he was the cub at the end of TLK since the "fluffy" looked to be a boy and Kopa is the only male child of Simba I know of. Even though he was only in the books, the authors did have Disney's permision to publish them, that's enough for me.

Why at every thread talking about Kopa you MUST come and say: "Kopa doesn't exist!"?! It's getting annoying! And no, TLK:SNA is NOT a fanfiction.

By the way...

... i believe that Zira "invited" him for a walk, just like Scar did with Simba. When they were far from the Pridelands, Zira tried to kill him. However, Kopa survived and lived as a rogue.

That's my opinion.

Yeah, Kopa's just a character that appears in books and really, doesn't exist in the films so we SHOULD be ignoring him and not including him in our "TLK timelines" that come in our heads
HOWEVER
I like to add him in
There's 2 very popular theories- He got killed by zira, or got attacked by her and ran away. I used to think he got killed but then I thought, "y'know? It'll be cool to bring him back and take the throne instead of kiara, and their child goes evil, wanting the throne to be theirs or whatever... plus I never really thought kiara and kovu would particularly want to be king and queen. So yeah, I think he got attacked by Zira and fell in a water filled gorge or something and escaped. Then Simba spared Zira just because of her cub (s), and became an over protective jerk.
I'm not saying that's what happened!!!!!!! Because judging Disney NOTHING happened to Kopa, he doesn't exist.
I also like to think of "fluffy" being Kopa. I KNOW HE'S NOT AND TECHNICALLY TAKING DISNEY STYLE INTO OUR HEADS IT'S KIARA I like the idea of him being Kopa ^^

Perhaps if it made it more interesting for you, why not ask, 'Why did Disney not include
Kopa in the sequel?' or 'Why did they choose Kiara over him as the main character?'.

Or why not just accept the fact that there are some people who fit Kopa into their TLK timelines because they prefer to examine certain things and certain characters they love THOUGH they do not appear in the films.

Way I view it, the movies, the books and the comics are all ONE universe, and it seems I'm not the only one who sees it as such.

I have heard many theorys on this some say he died and some say he ran away. I think that he wasn't in the second film as if there had been another prince it would have just made a simalar stroy to the first part. But by bringing in a princess it gave a different story. I have seen books with Kopa in and don't rember seeing him die so I'm not sure what to say only this what ever time Kopa was born he did exist but just never made it to the film.

Except, waaait... if Kovu is taken in by Scar then doesn't that mean he's older than Kopa?
How young is Kiara in SP then, if Kovu's mane is so small ? O__O

Hmmm I say he ran away avoiding getting killed by Zira. I dunno... I dont know really much about him.
