She gasped, covering her eyes as someone turned around in response. He looked...horrible. He seemed to be like....a fungus, horrible growths all over him, making him knobbly, and tinted a slight, naseauting green

"But, what if they don't ever let us out?" SHay asked. Panic was threatening to overwhelm her. SUddenly, a raspy voice spoke. "They'll let you out alright. But by then, you'll wish they hadn't."
The figure who spoke shifted slightly to reveal whiskers and unnatural spots of fur. Shay was unsure of how to respond.

Shay nodded, and the cat-person rolled over. "DO you think everyone is like, part something else? It looked like he was a cat, and we, might be birds," she said. The last part was quiet.

"SHe's right. We're all part something else. As she guessed, I'm part cat. A tabby, to be precise." The raspy voice suddenly spoke again, making SHay jump. "Where are we?" she decided to ask.
"We call it the School, but it's really a lab." he said.
"WHat did thye do to us? Why are we here?" Shay asked.
"They unraveled your DNA and altered it. You're here so they can study you, do more experiments. We call the scientists who did this whitecoats." As SHay digested this, he spoke again. "Oh, another thing. Stay away from Erasers." At her blank look, he gave a raspy sigh, and explained. "Erasers look human, kinda like models. But the turn into wolf-men. They use them as punishers and sometimes," he swallowed hard. "Executioners."
