Shay, also known as Phantom, wrapped her hands around the warm cup, jade eyes staring at the table moodily. She palced the ceramic mug's rim against her lips and drank, the bitter coffee making her jolt out of her thoughts. Wiping away the traces of the black liquid with a slim hand, she placed the cup back on the table, leaving a hand wrapped around it, soaking in it's warmth. A lock of brunette hair fell across her pale face, and she impatiently brushed it back.

Tom sat on the roof of a tall building, his legs dangled freely over the side. He sighed and stared down at the traffic and people bellow. 'Why can't I be normal?' He thought. Tears threatened to fall down his cheeks when he thought of Skye, the love of his life, the one he killed. 'Why? Why did I let my anger take control?' He thought as a silent tear escaped from his left eye and rolled down his cheek before splashing on the ground without a sound. He wiped his eyes and stood up. Continuing to stare down at the many people who wandered the streets.

Nathaniel looked at his hands. The things I've done... he thought to himself. Suddenly, a drop of water appeared on his thumb. A teardrop? He looked up, still holding onto his hood, as he squinted to try and see the still form above, sitting on the edge of a building. Zapline forgot about how his teeth were so noticeable, so he quickly pulled his hood back over his head and looked at the ground, still curious about the boy sitting on the roof.

She drained the rest of the coffee, and took her hand away from the ceramic mug and left it on the table. Pulling some money out of her pocket, she placed the crumpled dollars next to the mug. She stood up and walked out of the door, the bell making a light tinkling sound as it opened and swung shut behind her. Wrapping her arms around herself as protection from the cold wind, she began to walk. A strange sight caught her gaze, and made her eyes narrow in confusion. Her jade eyes flashed as they focused on it closer. A person was....sitting on a roof.
Curious, she walked forward, shading her eyes from the sun as she looked up. Having not noticed the other guy staring up at the same sight, she took anotehr step forward and ran into someone. Stepping back, her jade eyes looked at him instead, blushing. "Sorry," she said.

Nathaniel looked at the girl who bumped into him, and his brown eyes had that blazing look. He didn't care if she saw his teeth, because somehow, Zapline knew this girl was something special too. Too see how she would react, he bit his bottom lip, revealing his 4-inch shark teeth even more.

"It appears that a group of mutants we've not yet encountered have attacked Cape Citadel." said Professor X. "But they still called themselves the Brotherhood."
Storm looked at Jarret while she was tending to the guarden. "Jarret, leave it alone." she said, causing the animal-like mutant to back off from the squirel.
Steven saw the commotion and went over, his swarm following him. "What's going on?"

Tom noticed that two people were looking up at him from bellow. He jumped from the rooftop and used his telekinesis to slow him down before he landed safely on his feet. Tom approached the two. "I noticed you were staring at me..What is it you want?" He asked, noticing one of them had long fangs. "Are..You two mutants, like me?" He asked.

Wolverine looked at the professor quizzically. "The Brotherhood? They're back?" he repeated, almost disbelieving. "Lemme guess," he added. "Magneto behind this?"
Nathaniel lifted his nose in the air. "You know," he began, "You shouldn't use your powers in public like that." he ended with whispering, his voice volume dropping lower with each word. "You never know who could be watching."

Wolverine began to walk out the door when he yelled back, "Where exactly... are they?"
Nathaniel flashed a look of hatred at Steven. "I don't need to learn how to control my powers." he growled. "There should be a school for humans where they learn to control themselves!" his voice was beginning to rise into a yell, so he took in a deep breath, awaiting a response.
