Gosh, I had never cried so much to a movie before. Ever. I was crying by the second half of the movie and by the end I was bawling. This movie is so touching, inspiring, and most of all emotional. Being the fact that this is based on a true story makes this even sadder. At the same time, I absolutely LOVED this movie. One of my personal favorites now.

It was out here in theatres some time ago, had no chance to watch it :( Planned to buy the DVD, never got to do it... This saturday it´ll be on TV, try to watch it. Well, it should be no problem, got a receiver with recording function. Hope not to forget to program it.

So after reading all these posts I think I really should watch it, it seems to be worth it. As far as I can say by watching trailers it seems to be a really good movie.

aww, it came to theaters in Germany? it went straight to DVD here :| .. yeah, you really should watch it.. just make sure to have some kleenex with you.. :(

I highly reccomend you also read Hachiko waits by Leslea Newman.. focuses more on the true story than in the movie.. ( I creid more reading that book than I did in the movie) also Hachiko the true story of a loyal dog by Pamela turner ;).

dang ,I want a Hachi plush soo bad after seeing this movie.. I wish I could see the original Japanese version somewhere :(

Wow, this movie was fantastic but amazingly sad at the same time. Ask anyone, I never cry during movies. I'm not saying it to be tough, I really mean it. Whenever others cry during movies and the see I don't they accuse me of having a black hole for a heart or no heart at all XD.

But this movie was so touching and sad I couldn't stop my eyes from watering up. Even though I had been told it was sad and what was going to happen, I cried my eyes out the entire second half of the movie.

Still, it was an amazing film. Just because it was sad gives me no reason to downgrade it <3.

Same here for the crying part; I hate crying and I never cry in public unless I can't stop myself. The second half of the movie was.. wow. There's no way you can stop crying, it's an emotional roller coaster by that part. Usually if a movie manages to make me cry I upgrade it because I feel I should congratulate it. xD Any movie that can get me so emotional like that is an excellent movie to me.
