I watch a kid with black hair [Zane] walk down the sidewalk of my street but he is to far away for me to see who it is before my dad slings me into the house."Look at you!Just like your mother!" He scoffed harshly as I shrunk back in emotional pain at the mention of my mother."A highschool mess up, yeah that describes you!" He pushed me "Doesn't it?" He pushed me again."Why where you there anyways?!" He yelled in outrage as he kicked the fridge shut as he got another beer, but she didn't answer.He looked up and said it again slowly "Why..Where..you..there?" His voice was cold.She didn't answer so he jumped up and pushed me into the wall by my neck in anger "Why were you there Nika?" I felt my breath slipping away "Answer me god d*** it!" I kicked him in his stomach and he let go "I'm a vampire dad!Okay?" He looked at me, shocked.I had never seen his face so red before.Ever."My already a screw up of a daughter a leetch?" His face even got redder and I stepped back towards the window."Dad, it wasn't my choice..." I murmmered, my dad loaths vampires.I looked out the window and the boy was closer to my house, but once again my father struck me before I could see his face.I fell onto the tile ground, my hands shaking as I tried to get back up "Get up!" He kicked me in my neck and I fell back down, scrambling for air.His fist hit my stomach again and the little air I could take in was gone again.A little blood came from my mouth and I could taste it, swirling around my teeth that would soon become sharp fangs.For a second he looked down at me, his dark brown eyes sharp.I took a deep breath in as he picked me up and threw me into the wall "Stop!" I screamed as loud as I could, I remembered making the same cream when Zane had bitten me."Stop it!" "I've had enough!" I kicked and scrambled on the floor in, my lungs tensing as they fought for breath again.But my father mercylessly kicked me on the ground again, and i let out another scream and he went upstairs since the phone was ringing.I looked at myself in the mirror, blood and bruises covered my body it seemed to be normal tho.I grabbed my purple zebra print hoodie and my MP3 and rushed outside to see the boy with the black hair."Zane.." I whispered and turned, whipping the tears from my cheeks.

My eyes widened in shock, seeing her bruised body, blood covering her, still dripping out of some cuts. She was aple. Paler than normal anyhow, looking wild and fearful. I was pretty sure that I looked the same, being as shocked as I was. I felt my silver eyes widening, all awkwardness at being around the girl I had turned into a vampire gone, replaced with concern and rage. ANd maybe a little bit of fear. I rushed over to her, almost unawar eof my own actions. "What..happened?" I asked, hearing the horrified note in my own voice.

I watched his face widen in horror and then he rushed over to me, asking me what happened.Every part inside me was screaming and yelling 'Go away!This is your fault this happened!' but something small somewhere rushed over me and I felt my arms go around his waist and my head resting on his chest, and let the tears flow.But I still couldn't talk, how do you tell someone you are abused by your father?Defiantly someone you don't know all that well.

I was surprised, but not surprised enough to let go of her. My arms in trun wrapped around her. I was practically unaware of my own actions, only noticing her shaking as she cried, making my shirt damp. What happened to her? Did someone hurt her? I wondered.

I could almost hear what he was thinking and I nodded "My dad...He found out." Was all I could manage to say, and i hoped he could understand me.i dug my face closer to him, I had no clue what I was doing.

Found out what? I wondered. Probably that she was a vampire....but, her dad wouldn't do that, would he? Maybe, maybe not. I wouldn't know. "You dad.." Ibegan softly. "He didn't do this, did he?"

I winced slightly at his question "He did." I wanted to stay in his arms forever, his presence seemed comforting and sweet unlike normally when I would look at him in disgust, but this moment is perfect."Please don't go away...I need you now." I whispered very faintly but I knew this was wrong, this happiness felt so wrong."Zane...I'm sorry..But I can't do this." I back off slowly and wipped a tear from my eye at the thought of leaving him there.I looked at my shoes,not wanting to see his expression.Then my shoes began to turn around and move quickley, where to, I don't know.They kept moving, left, right, left, right.I wanted to stop and turn around to run into his arms and stay there for ever and never leave the saftey of his arms.But I couldn't do this, this was his fault the whole thing happened wasn't it?I looked up from my feet that had finnaly stopped and relized where I was, the park.The park where I was bitten, the park where my mother got the news, the park where everything bad seemed to happen in my life, the park that hurt me."Why here?" I asked my feet stupidly, sitting on the swing, one foot kicking the wood chips that had been here for ages.

"Wait, stop!" I cried after her, but she was already gone. Confused, I kicked at a loose piece of asphalt. I winced as it crashed through the window of her house. I turned around and began to walk quickly away, throwing a glance behind me as it became a run. No way I was going to be beat up too! I finally slowed as I reached my neighborhood, my mind now pondering over why she had left. Was it somehing I said? No of course not. It was something I did. I bit her, and she couldn't bear to be with me apparently. I felt remorse, and that surprised me. I wished I hadn't of bitten her, it only had caussed her pain.

I kicked the wooden chips and they went into my converse, peircing my skin.I looked up at saw the sun had begun to set, the sky turning peach.I figured it was about time I go home, I had school tomorrow and my father would be furious if I didn't come home now.I picked my bag up, the weight seemed heavier than before, alot heavier."What the?" I put my bag down and saw white fur."Om..my..gosh." I reached in and pulled out a white puppy, a husky mix puppy.He must've crawled in when I was swinging."I'm taking you home little guy." I smiled brightly, the small white usky had stunning ice blue eyes, he was perfect.I walked on the side walked and he followed close behind, never leaving my side.By the time I got home I was smiling brightly and the pup was in my backpack again so my dad couldn't see him.But it didn't matter, he was passed out on the couch.I ran upstairs and put him down on my bed "Um..you need a name." I thought about unusal names, I didn't want a everyday one like Max."Casper!" His tail wagged happily at his name.
(I just got a white lab/Husky puppy for V-day named Casper ^.^)

I walked up to the porch, taking out my key and unlocking the door as the sky began to turn a soft shade of peach. I opened the door and walked in softly, as not to wake my parents. They usually worked all day, and slept the rest of it away. I walked up to my room, closing the dooor behind me and shrugging me bag off my shoulder.

Grabbing the white puppy, I plopped myself on the bed and held Casper close."Oh boy, I wish life was simple." The puppy whinned as if agreeing with me, snorting I curled up next to him and watched his eye lids droop close.His puppy breath felt warm on my face and sweet in my nostrils, his twitching and rise and fall of his stomach soothed me until I to, fell asleep.

(Wow, I just described what happened to me last night lawls ^.^)

I didn't care about homework, I would make up some excuse in the morning. Or just not go at all. Probably the latter. I kicked of my shoes and pulled my hoodie off, leaving it crumpled in the floor in a messy pile. Which is how most of my room looked to be honest. Feeling hot and unable to sleep, a lay ontop of my bed, staring at the dark ceiling.

(Morning?)

I walked into class, heading to the back of the class like always.The class was vacant, but I knew he would get here soon, but I didn't care."I climb, I slip I fall, reaching for hands, but I lay here all alone, sweating all your blood." My voice filled the class room and I looked next to me, a boy was sitting and clapping."What?" Laughing he leaned back "Your good, here take this." He handed me a flyer, it read School Talent Show, Wednsday."I couldn't make it, I'm not that goo-" Before I could finished he slapped me playfully across the face "No, your amazing, you have to go." We laughed and I agreed of course and watched him leave the room.

I goroggily forced myself to get up, debating whether I should go. I almost chose not too, but I decided to go, remembering her. I messily pulled on some random shirt and a pair of jeans, then my shoes. I grabbed my bag, pulling out a sheet of paper. On it, I wrote,

Please exvuse Zane for being late nad not having his homework done. He was at his uncle's funeral, and it's been rough on him.

I examined my handiwork, then satisfied, stuffed it into my pocket. I pulled my bag over my shoulder and walked out of the room.
