The breeze of air, ruffled his neck fur, his eyes bringing back the old look in them, of freedom and a real life. He wanted to run, as fast and as far as he could but thought that it was a little to easy to escape this place with just that. He looked up at Shay, his eyes filled with hope now. His brown matted fur didint look anyware as bad as had. He looked up at the moon and pointed his nose to the sky but didint let out the howl he so wished to call to the moon.

Shay looked down at the matted brown wolf beside her. He now seemed so hopefula nd strong, it took her breath away. Her blue eyes were tender for a moment, then the regular hard and indifferent look returned. She headed out of the door, leaving the stone corridor behind. She shut the door lighty and softly, the door only making a soft creaking sound as the rusty hinges moved and rubbed against eachother.

Fen's ears pricked and he turned around, with a silent snarl he lunged forward, his fangs finding a throat of a guard that was about to discover them. He bit down feeling the windpipe snap in his jaws. He stood up to see that he had killed the guard that had beaten him every day. He did had some kindness that the dead body didnt deserve, he pushed him up to lean against the wall. He gently ran a paw over the eyes closing them. He turned back and looked at Shay waiting for her next move.

Shay's eyes widened slightly as she saw the limp guard, but she got over her slight surprise. "COme on," she said, barely audible. She continued walking softly and silently, looking ghostly, only her hair blending in to the shadows that filled the night landscape.

Fen fallowed behind, his paw steps silent as he trotted next to Shay. The fresh air made him feel filthy and he wanted to get rid of it, he almost changed to ask her if they were almost free but decided against it...he wasnt much of a talker. He kept his ears pricked and his nose and eyes open for any signs of trouble. His darkbrown, almost black fur blended in well with the shadows that they hid in.

"We're almost there," she murmured, as if reading his mind. The soon reached a tree line, one that led into a deep and mysterious forest. They would hide here for a while. "WE'll stay here, for a while," she said softly to the werewolf.

Fen nodded and trotted forward, he sniffed the air before slowly walking to a small pond. He glidded into the water and closed his eyes, the moon sparkeling off of the water, the blood and dirt being erased from his pelt as the water lapped against his sides and chest. He turned to look at Shay, his voilet eyes almost white in the moonlight.

Shay looked back at him, blue eyes meeting vio;et ones. She walked out into the water after him, the water cool against her pale skin. The moon reflected off the pond, the only light other then the stars in the shadowy darkness of night that blanketed the landscape. SHe loved night, it was always so secluded and mysterious and beautiful. Ecspecially right now, with him beside her.

Fen watched her, her every movement. He was strangly attracted to her, he mentally slapped himself. He can't fall in love with a vampire! He slid out of the water and changed into his wolf form, pulling off his shirt he let his wet hair start to dry, the water running down his chest and shoulders. He closed his eyes and let his head hang back so he was bathed in the moonlight, he hadnt seen the moon in such a long time.

Shay waded out of the water after him, her gaze attracted by seeing him in human form. He wasn't bloodied like he wa sbefore, the water had wiped away all traces of his tormentl. She still felt a pang when she thought about the others in there, but he was the only one who caught her eye. Except for that poor boy. He couldn't of been more than 9, but they had done it anyway. She wished she could've saved them all, but she didn't have the key to all the cells. They were labeled, so she had been able to find his, but it would take to long to match every key up with the cell and manage to set thema ll free. Some would probably want to kill her as soon as they saw he anyway.

She pulled herself out of her thoughts as she hit the bank of the small pong. SHe steeped out, the mon and stars reflected in every drop of water that dripped onto the forest floor and hung onto her clothes and pale skin.

Fen slowly opened his eyes to look at the vampire girl. He looked up at her from underneath his shaggy brown hair. He stood up and had to look slightly down at her. "Thank You." His voice was mostly velvety but had a hint of rougnes still in it from the slave work of his life. He was shocked himself that he talked and to her, a vampire.

"Your welcome," she said, his voice sounding smooth with only a hint of roughness to it. She liked the sound of it. The dark shadows his most of him from view, and she was certain that she was hidden by shadows too. Mostly she could only see some of his brown hair and his violet eyes shining out of the darkness at her, most of his face hidden, only faint outlines visible.

He new he was in the shadows and he stood up, slowly from the sorness in his body. He stepped out into the moonlight revealing his human form in its somewhat clean state to her, his back and neck were still bloody because he was still to sore to reach there. "Why did you save me...and me alone?" He coughed, not used to talking for such a long time.

"I didn't have time to save the others, and you're the one who...caught my eyes," she said, looking at him in a way that would seem strange to outsiders, but she was trying to hide her deep affection, giving her a slightly glazed over yet strained look.

Fen couldnt help but lay down in the grass, face pressed down to the ground so he could smell the earthy scents. "Your own kind will hunt you, if you do not wish to retern me to my cell, or take me as your personal servent." He sighed, he didnt really know to much about the whole outside world and emotions, he was captured when he was four years old and was only taught rules, slavework, and combat to capture is own kind.
