Yeah....Poison? You mind starting?

Rue woke up groggily, her brown eyes out of focus and confused as she struggled to a sitting position, wondering what the heck that beeping was. She looked to her left, her vision clearing as she saw her alarm clock. She tiredly pushed the button, getting up. She flung off the thick bedspread, sliding out of the bed. She stumbled to her bathroom, looking in the mirror, meeted by a pale, exhausted face and frizzy black hair. She grabbed her brush, running it through her snarled hair, luster returning with each stroke. She brushed her slight bangs, the brush scratching her forehead. She put the brush down, brushing her teeth quickly. She flicked the switch, turning off the bathroom light and heading to her closet.

She grabbed some jeans and a lowcut shirt, pulling them on quickly. She examined herself critically in the mirror, running her fingers through her hair before she nodded satisfactorly. She closed the closet door, running out of her room after grabbing her shoes and pulling them on too. She ran down the stairs, soon at the bottom, panting lightly. She grabbed a Pop-Tart from the pantry at random, grabbing her ready to go bag. She yelled out a quick "Bye!" then ran outside. She opened the car door, pulling out her keys. She slid inside, dropping her bag in the pasenger seat. She turned on the ignition then drove in reverse, pulling out of her drive-way and speeding off to school. She cursed silently as she looked at the clock, looking around before speeding up. Soon she was at school and parked. She opened the acr, slipping keys into her packet and locking doors. She slung her bookbag over her shoulder, running up to the school building.

Rue ran up to school as the bus pulled up,a nd she blinked as a new student stepped off. She changed direction, turning and racing towards the new kid, curious about her, her brown eyes bright. She skidded tyo s stop near her, her bags swinging slightly, banging against her hip.

She stuck out her hand. "Hey, I'm Rue," she greeted.
