On a nice calm night with snow on the ground, Cody was walking by himself as usual but he was tracking down a unfamiliar smell. He walked all over the woods for a long time but he finally found the source of the unfamiliar smell. It belonged to a wolf-dog he didn't know. He approached this new canine carefully and asked "Hello, my name is Cody. What's yours?"

Kira was tired, she had not eaten for a long time now and her energy was low. She could barely hold up her body weight with her thin legs. Suddenly she smelt something. She paused and sniffed, staring in the direction of the scent. She lowered her head to the ground, but then she realized the scent was of a carcass. She trotted in it's direction her tail raised and exited. She found it, the carcass. It was of a young deer, it probably died of lack of food. The hard meat was stale and had already been eaten by other scavengers but it was better then nothing. Kira bit at the tough meat. She was a lone wolf, but she dreamed of being in a pack one day.

Kira's head shot up, her eyes locked onto the other wolf. She could tell she was hungry, and when she remembered how starved she had been she stepped back, her eyes calming. "You look hungry," she said, her tail held in the air. "Want to eat some of this?" she asked her, knowing clearly by the look of her she wasn't a threat.

"Your welcome, my name is Kira" Kira was happy she had shared her find, and she could tell Rue was enjoying it a lot. "This carcass is probably two weeks old judging by the taste and smell" She said. Her tail flicked and swished behind her when a scent came by her nose. She followed it and spotted a rabbit. It looked like a healthy nice rabbit and Kira started stalking straight away.

Cody was walking through the woods, just thinking about what it was like to taste the last rabbit he had. It just so happens to be it was only two days ago. While he was thinking about rabbit and walking through the forest, he came across the smell of a rabbit. He found the rabbit and he stalked up to it while being low to the ground, so it couldn't see him. He quickly lunged at it and it ran as fast as it could. It was to slow and he struck it down with one bite. When he had the rabbit in his muzzle, he looked around and he seen the carcass he took down a week ago along with a couple of female wolves but one seemed like it was a wolf-dog by it's smell. He looked at the one who was stalking the rabbit and said "Here, you have the rabbit. It looks like you need it more than I."

Cody smiled at the wolf-dog and said "Hello, I am Cody. Are you liking the carcass? You are a wolf-dog, are you not?" He sat down on the ground and waited for the wolf-dog to answer. He looked at her and said "You are part Golden retriever, aren't you?"

Cody smiled and said "You smell like a wolf-dog but it's not apparent by looks, only by smell. Even with that, it would be hard for a wolf to pick out the smell. You disguised yourself well but not well enough to be undetectable by a skilled wolf. Very well done. Guess whose carcass that was when it was whole."
