ooc: You can post the next part, I don't really have anything to add.

Blade was shocked as well, never in his life had he met another pup whose hearing abilities matched his. When Aurora said "lets hide" all Blade could do was nod but say. "Why do we have to hide? Is it someone you know?" He asked quietly as he hid with her. "Y'know, if my dad knew I was interacting with another pup from an enemy pack he'd be awfull mad." Said Blade. Suddenly he realised what he had just said, he had told her that her pack was an enemy to his. He sighed and decided to show her his scar. He turned slightly and showed her the scar over his left eye. "This is what happened last time dad got mad." He whispered. He could hear someone approaching, and so decided after that he should remain quiet.

"I think it might be my grandpa," Aurora whispered. She heard what he said about them being enemies, but she tried to ignore it. "She didn't hate him, why should they be enemies," she thought. Aurora looked at Blade's scar. "Wow, I'm sorry. My grandpa is pretty mean, but he's never done anything like that." She gave her friend a quick hug and then waited for whoever was coming.

Vigier was in an all out sprint now. He didn't care what happened to him, he needed to find his granddaughter. He sped over the trail, ignoring the branches that would occaisionally scratch his face. Nothing mattered but finding Aurora. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a protruding root in his path, but he was moving too quickly to react. He tripped and fell to the ground, landing painfully. As he dragged himself upright, he saw the pawprints of some larger creature, not as large as him, but still bigger than Aurora. His emotions came pouring out as he resigned himself to the fact that he would never see his granddaughter again. He fell to the ground, tears flowing unabated from his eyes. "Aurora. I don't know where you are right now, but if you can hear me, I just wanted to say I love you so much," he prayed. "I sorry I wasn't a good grandfather to you and I wish I could have told you that I loved you when you were still alive. If you see your mother in the afterlife, tell her that I loved her too." He laid still on the ground. With Aurora gone, so went all his hopes. He didn't cared what happened to him now.

Aurora watched from her hiding place in the bushes. "I never realised how much he cared about me," she thought. "I've never seen him cry like this either. Heck, I've never seen him smile. He never shows any emotion. He must really care about me." She slowly padded over to his sobbing form. "Grandpa, are you OK?" she asked timidly.

Aurora's voice brought Vigier out of his depression. "Aurora?" he mumbled, not knowing whether she was really there. As he turned and saw her standing next to him, his face melted into a smile. "Aurora," he said tearfully, this time with tears of happiness. "I never thought I'd see you again." He hugged her close. "I thought I'd lost you. I was so worried."
Aurora initially struggled, but there would be no escape from her grandfather's embrace. "So you're not mad that I wasn't training?"
"I'm just happy to see you still alive. The only reason I want you to train so hard is so you'll can stay safe. I guess I didn't realise what was important. I love you so much Aurora. My one job is to protect you and keep you safe. I guess I wasn't doing a very good job of that," he replied apologetically.
Aurora looked down at the ground. She felt terrible for making her grandpa so afraid. "I'm sorry," she apologized. "I never knew you cared."
"Of course I care, Aurora. I love you more than life itself. I just have to keep a strong outer demeanor for the other members of the pack. Aurora, I'll try to be a better grandfather to you. Just promise me you'll never run off again."
Aurora smiled and snuggled closer into his embrace. "I promise."
"Now come on, I brought you your dinner," he said giving her her meal. "We should get going soon. This is a dangerous place. What were you doing all the way out here anyway?" he asked.
"I was running like you told me to," she teased. Aurora remembered Blade in the bushes. "And I have my friend Blade here to protect so it's not that dangerous." She offered Blade some of her dinner. "Here, want some?"
Vigier's ears perked up when he heard of Blade. He didn't know who this was, but he didn't trust anyone who lived in this area. After all, this was Pharoah's territory. "Who this friend of yours?" he asked carefully walking over, ready to protect his daughter from any attacker.

Blade stepped out of the bushes slowly, he shook his head but smiled slightly when Aurora offered some of her dinner. He wasn't that hungry so he had to refuse in the politest way possible. It was difficult for him to be polite for his whole life had been spent in darkness and evil, and absolutely no manners at all. "H-hi." He muttered, smiling weakly up at Vigier. "I'm Blade, son of Pharoah..and, I have no mother so I can't really mention my mothers name." He said with a weak chuckle at the end. But it was strange, for he looked nothing like Pharoah, he just looked like a normal brown and whitish-grey pup with brown and black splodges here and there.

ooc: Now would be a good time to have Pharoah enter. Just have him call out or something so Vigier knows Pharoah's coming before Pharoah notices Vigier.

Vigier was shocked by the pup's admission. Blade was Pharoah's son? He looked nothing like Pharoah. But he knew that if Blade had anything to do with Pharoah, then they weren't safe. Aurora seemed to really like him though. Best to get her out of there, then tell her the truth. Luckily his years of practice kept him from betraying his emotions. "Nice to meet you Blade," he said forcing a smile. "But we really should be going. Come on Aurora."
"Awww, so soon?" Aurora whined. "Can Blade come too?"
"NO!" Vigier scolded, a little to forcefully. "Not now. Maybe sometime in the future," he said, trying to soften the blow of his last statement. "Now we need to get going Aurora."

Pharoah emerged from his dark cave and looked around, Blade was nowhere to be seen. "Where is that boy.." Muttered Pharoah, almost angrily. He then ran off in the direction he last saw Blade. When he got there, Blade was still nowhere to be seen. 'It's very unlikely that he has fallen again..Though just to make sure..' Thought Pharoah, peeking over the side of the cliff. No signs of a dead or injured pup, there wasn't even any signs of an alive and healthy pup. Pharoah withdrew his head and called for Blade, hoping for an answer. "Blade?" He called softly. "Blade!?" He called, even louder. But there was no reply. 'Maybe he's too far away to hear me, I must keep searching though..he is my heir and no-one would ever be able to replace him. He is strong and feared by the other pups, he will make a great and strong leader.' Thought Pharoah, searching high and low for the pup. "Blade?!" He called again.
This time, Blade heard, but he wished he hadn't. 'Oh no..not dad..' Thought Blade. He then turned to Aurora and Vigier. "Umm, your granpa's right Aurora, you really have to leave." He said quickly, nudging Aurora slightly. "Listen, you're not--"
"Blade!?" Pharoah called once more before finally spotting the pup. "There you are!" He said, sounding angry.
"Safe here." Finished Blade, with a big sigh he turned around to see Pharoah standing before him. But Pharoah wasn't looking at him. He was looking straight at Vigier.
"You!" Snarled Pharoah, his dark purple eyes fixed on Vigier. "What are you doing here?!"

Vigier heard Pharoah's call and stood transfixed. With Blade as Pharoah's son, Vigier knew that Pharoah would be coming this way. He had to get Aurora out of here. His thoughts focused on getting Aurora away, Blade might have said something, but he didn't care. "Aurora, here now," he ordered.
Aurora had just finished her dinner and now she wanted to play with Blade. Turning to look at Vigier, she whined, "Come on Grandpa, can't we-" Aurora stopped midsentence. She had never seen her Grandpa so afraid before. He had battled other wolves twice his size and never shown fear like this. She immediately went over.
Vigier nudged her into the bushes and whispered, "Hide here until I say and then I want you to run as fast as possible back to camp, got it? Don't wait for me and don't stop until you get back to camp."
"Yes, Grandpa," Aurora replied worriedly. She could tell something was very wrong.
Vigier knew that he probably would not survive and get Aurora safely back to camp. He knew what had to be done. "Just remember that I've always loved you, even more than life itself. Take good care of the rest of the pack," he said nuzzling her gently and embracing her for one last time.
Aurora was very worried now. "Grandpa, what's wrong?"
"No time to explain," he replied hastily. "Just run as fast as you can back to camp when I yell 'now' and don't stop until you're back."
Aurora was scared and in tears, "OK."
Vigier gave her one last hug and ran away from the bush hoping Pharoah wouldn't notice. "Blade!? There you are!" he heard Pharaoh's nightmarish voice as he wracked his brain trying to think of the best way to stall him and give Aurora time to escape. He knew Pharoah was far stronger than him and he wouldn't last long in a fight. He glanced down at the pup Blade and came up with an idea. "You! What are you doing here?!" Pharoah snarled, staring straight into Vigier's eyes.
Vigier glared back and snarled, "Taking my revenge." He jumped toward Blade. "Now!" he yelled, grabbing the pup and sprinting deeper into Pharoah's territory.
Aurora heard her Grandpa's signal and sprinted back toward the Swiftpaw camp.
Vigier focused on running as quickly as possible away from Aurora. He knew he couldn't glance back without betraying his purpose. "Please, Pharoah. Come after me," he thought to himself.

Pharoah was surprised, he did not expect Vigier to take Blade and run deeper into his territory. Pharoah snarled viciously and ran after Vigier. "Stop and face me coward!" He growled, still chasing after Vigier. He wasn't far behind, but Vigier was still faster than him. Soon, Pharoah spotted his scouting party of about six wolves. "Corner him!" Ordered Pharoah. His scouting pack reluctantly obeyed. Two of them stepped infront of Vigier, causing him to stop. Two more stayed on the left side of Vigier and the last two stayed on the right while Pharoah came up from behind. "You'll lose old fool..Now..hand the pup over and I promise your death will be swift and painless..do otherwise, and it will be slow and pain-filled." Growled Pharoah coldly.

Vigier ran until he was confronted by other wolves blocking his path. Turning around, he was relieved to see Pharoah behind him. That meant Aurora had time to escape and he had performed his job well. He knew not to expect mercy from Pharoah. Pharoah would either kill him or punish him in a way worse than killing. Vigier mentally prepared himself for whatever would come next. His "hostage" was useless now, and he gently put Blade down onto the ground unharmed. Now, if he kept his purpose for this action secret, there would be no reason for Pharoah to go after Aurora. "Might as well get this over with quickly. The less he knows the better," he thought to himself.

"I see you need your cronies to do all your work for you. Can't even catch an old fool like me," he taunted, snarling and glaring at Pharoah. "Do they take turns being the Alpha for you as well?"

"Retrieve the pup.." Pharoah told one of the wolves. The wolf bowed his head quickly and grabbed the frightened pup before stepping back. Pharoah growled at Vigier and approached him fearlessly. "Only the pup is good enough to take my place..but for now, I stay in position as leader, no-one in this pack is good enough for the role of leadership except me and Blade." He replied, his words were as cold as ice and his heart was filled with hatred. "Tell me Vigier..how is that pathetic pack of yours? Oh, and how is that daughter of yours, haven't seen her since your last attempt to defeat me," he said with an evil grin. "Is she dead?" He asked with an evil laugh at the end. Pharoah knew full well that his daughter was dead, news always spread quickly around the woods. It was as if he were mocking Vigier, trying to aggrivate him until he either reached breaking point, or attacked. "I heard she had a daughter, one that you protect with your life..And do you expect a GIRL wolf to beat me and Blade when she grows up? Hmm? You're more foolish than I thought." He said slowly and coldy. He let out another evil laugh and started to circle Vigier. "I'll let you go with a few wounds..because I want you to deliver a message to your pack.." He said, then told him the message. "One called Blade will destroy every single one of them." After that, Pharoah shouted 'attack him' and the wolves did so. After they had given Vigier a good beating, Pharoah shouted for the attack to cease. Pharoah once again approached Vigier, who was bleeding from about two or three small wounds. "Now..go tell your pack that message..fill their hearts with fear..soon, I shall rule the entire world..and you shall be dead, along with your pathetic pack and that furball you call your grandaughter.." He whispered before taking Blade from the wolf that had retrieved him.
Blade watched with fear and listened to every evil word his "father" said. It wasn't long before Blade knew why Pharoah was feared by almost all. When Blade was home safe, he went to the cliff edge once more and looked up at the sky, the slowly darkening sky. When night came, there was no stars, the world was filled with too much evil, grief and darkness, that not even the moon would show. Then he saw something, lights in the colours of green, pink and yellow danced across the sky. "Wow, the northern lights.." Muttered Blade, and they somehow reminded him of the female pup he had met earlier. Blade looked at his paws. 'Why is it my destiny to destroy the world? Why can't things change? Who is my mother? What am I doing here, under the care of my so-called father who doesn't even look like me? I have so many questions that need to be answered..' Thought Blade.

Aurora sped over the ground back toward camp. She normally would have hesitated or indulged her curiosity and looked around, but her grandfather's eyes told her that she was in danger. As she ran, her fear overran her emotions and soon tears were streaming from her eyes. It had been a long day for the young pup and all of the stress of today was far more than she could handle. Her legs began to tire and become heavy, but she knew she couldn't stop. She continued running as fast as she could, not really paying attention to her surroundings or the growing difficulty of running, just focusing on getting away. Her pounding heart beat in rhythm with the painful strides, further releasing her emotions. Soon there was nothing in her mind but running and tears. But her tired legs could not hold up indefinitely. As she grew more and more exhausted, each step became more and more difficult and painful. Soon, it became too much for the young pup to take and she collapsed onto the ground.
Vigier was fairly surprised that Pharoah would leave him alive and he focused on defending himself rather than fighting back. He didn't remember much from Pharoah's attack, only the ever present soreness and the obvious bleeding wounds. He wouldn't be able to hide these from the rest of the pack. Aurora would still respect him, but if the others knew Pharoah had defeated him, they wouldn't accept him as the Alpha anymore. Vigier gazed into the empty sky as Aurora was wont to do when she was thinking. The empty sky provided him no hope, no answers to his problem. He knew his life as an Alpha and Aurora's only chance at defeating Pharoah was coming to an end. He had to figure out a way to circumvent this. He needed to figure out a solution. He steeled his face from the pain and set his mind to this insurmountable task, limping slowly back to the end of his reign.
Aurora awoke, feeling the soreness of her body. It was completely dark now. She didn't know how long she had been lying there. Remembering her grandfather's advice, she started to pull herself to her feet and run further. A gentle touch held her down. "Stay still Aurora." Aurora looked around and saw the familiar faces of the other members of her pack. She had made it all the way to the edge of camp before collapsing, much farther than she had expected. "Wow, I guess my grandpa's training really helped," she thought to herself. "Where is Grandpa anyway?" She scanned the faces for Vigier, but no such luck. "What happened? Where's Vigier?" they asked. Aurora didn't want to talk. She just wanted to see her grandfather. She turned around silently and stared into the darkness scanning for her grandfather. The others pried her with questions, but nothing could break her focus away from searching. Aurora continued staring silently, worried thoughts permeating the silence. She felt like crying, but there were no tears left for today. Only silent, hopeless sadness.

Aurora stared into the surrounding darkness. She shivered with cold and exhaustion, but she refused to leave. Nothing would break her gaze, not even the worried questions of other pack members. Soon, they gave up their efforts to glean information and went back to sleep. Aurora stayed still and watched. She was waiting for one thing and one thing only.
Vigier limped back to the Swiftpaw camp. He stayed in the hidden in the shadows, postponing the inevitable. His wounds were still bleeding, but he knew he'd live. But what kind of a life? He was more worried about what the other pack members would think. He couldn't train Aurora if he wasn't the leader. Suddenly, his thoughts shifted. While Pharoah had gone after him, he didn't know that Aurora had made it back safely. He gazed into the sleeping pack, but there was no sign of the pup.
Aurora remained at her post, visibly shaking. "Grandpa should be back by now," she thought worriedly. She thought back to the days events. Did he really mean what he said about loving her more than life itself? He wouldn't have sacrificed himself, would he? She was so angry toward him earlier and now she couldn't stand the thought of him being gone. She looked up at the stars, but the sky was empty; the stars could offer no hope. As her hope dwindled, so did her resolve. This was too much for a pup her age to handle. Her legs gave out and she fell to the ground. She was scared and lonely without her grandfather. She heard a rustling in the bushes nearby. She looked up feebly. "Grandpa?" she asked hopefully.
"Aurora, you made it back safely," he replied. "Now, come over here, but do it quietly."
Aurora was ecstatic and her happiness gave her a short burst of energy. "Grandpa, you're OK-" She stopped midsentence, looking over his wounds. "What happened to you?"
Vigier looked over his wounds and looked at her. "Pharoah. He's a dangerous wolf." He could see the dazed, worried look on her face. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. It'll take more than these scratches to stop your Grandpa. Are you OK?"
"I'm fine. I was just worried about you," she lied, hugging him tightly. She was actually exhausted but she didn't want him to know. "Do you know what happened to Blade? Is he OK?"
"I don't want you seeing Blade anymore, Aurora. His father is Pharoah, the wolf that did this to me. Soon, Blade will be just as dangerous."
"Ok," she replied grudgingly. She didn't think Blade would do something like this, but she trusted her grandfather. She looked up at him again. "Are you sure you're OK? Those wounds looks really painful,"
"It'll be fine. I just need to figure out what to tell the rest of the pack," he replied reassuringly. "They'd never accept me as a leader if they knew Pharoah did this to me."
"Why not? You've been a great leader," Aurora retorted angrily.
"We're supposed to fight against Pharoah and if I can't stop him from doing this to me, then how could I lead the effort to defeat him?" he replied. "The leader of the Swiftpaw needs to be strong, stronger than everyone else. The pack needs to have hope."
"But isn't there something we could tell them?"
"Anyone else would have claim be the leader of the Swiftpaw, I don't think they would accept me as the leader, unless..." Vigier came up with an idea. "There's only one wolf they would accept as being stronger than me and still believe that we could win."
"Who's that Grandpa?" Aurora asked.
"You"
"What? I would never do something like that to you."
"I know, but we could say it was part of a training exercise. You would gain respect, I would maintain my leadership and the pack would still believe. Without hope we don't have a chance," he said. "I don't like blaming you for it either, but I don't think there's any other way. I'm sorry. I know it's a lot for one as young as you to handle."
"OK, I'll do it for you," Aurora replied, hugging her Grandpa tightly.
"Thanks Aurora. Now let's get back to camp. We'll have to figure out a easier training schedule."
Aurora thought about all of the days events. She felt like she had grown up a lot today. And she knew that something needed to be done about Pharoah. Anyone who would do something like that to her grandfather was dangerous and needed to be stopped. Silently, she recognized what needed to happen. She felt sore just thinking about it. "No, Grandpa. I want you to train me just like you've been doing."
"But I thought-"
"You were right. You taught me to run and I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have that training. Besides, Pharoah did that to you and he needs to be stopped and if I don't train to stop him no one will."
"Very well, Aurora. I'm proud of you. Just don't forget that I love you."
"Maybe every once in a while, you can watch the stars with me?" she replied. She loved watching the stars, but she never had anyone to do it with.
"Sure thing. How about tomorrow?"
"Only if it doesn't interfere with training," she replied.
"OK, now let's get to bed. You'll want your rest after a day like today." He was proud of his daughter. She was so young, yet she was mature far beyond her years. He knew she was special, but she never failed to amaze him. He hoped that one day, she would defeat Pharoah. Without hope, they had nothing and she was his hope

The northern lights slowly faded as a brown and greyish-white wolf came up behind him silently. Blade frowned and continued to look up at the sky, unaware of the wolf standing behind him.
The wolf spoke slowly to Blade. "Blade, I have come to tell you that you are destined for more than just evil..and in time, you will find the answers to your questions. Young one, I want you to have this." Said the wolf as a necklace with a black gem appeared around Blade's neck.
Blade was surprised when the wolf came up behind him and was even more surprised when the necklace appeared around his neck. Blade was about to say something, but the wolf had vanished. Never would he forget that night..

About a year and a half later...

"Now tell me boy..what is your destiny?"
"My destiny is to destroy Vigier and his pathetic pack.."
"Good..now tell me, how are you going to destroy them?"
"I'm going to murder them, one at a time."
Pharoah laughed evily then looked straight at Blade. "I've taught you well Blade.."

Bio:
Name: Brenidje
Age: 2
Breed: Wolf
Fur Color: Originally black, rarely ever clean though so generally a dark brown
Eye Color: Brown
Personality: Loyal to Pharoah, Brenidje is a spy in the Swiftpaw. He's generally arrogant and conceited, but he's strong and skilled so the Swiftpaw's accept him. He believes that as long as he's part of the Swiftpaw, Aurora is his "girl" and that she should do as he pleases. Basically he's a jerk, but he's smart enough to do it in a way that removes suspicion

Vigier awoke as the sun rose. Aurora was gone, off training already. Her work ethic was legendary among the Swiftpaw. Most didn't know of her talents, but they were just as impressive as her work ethic. She had become far faster and stronger than Vigier had ever been and her mind and memory were finely honed. Vigier was immensely proud of her, but he hoped he had done the right thing pushing her so hard. She rarely ever took time off and he missed seeing her smile as she walked around the camp. He wandered into the nearby wilderness to look for some food for the pack. He looked out into the meadow and saw a large buck dear. Vigier knew that when he was younger, he could have brought it back himself, but he felt his body growing older, and while no one else knew, weaker. He slipped back to the camp silently and awoke a hunting party. Vigier took his position, hidden in front of the deer. If it tried to escape, it would run this way, so he had to be ready. He signalled for the others to begin the attack, with deadly efficiency the pack funneled the deer toward Vigier. He charged the deer and dealt it a lethal wound. The deer fought back and hit Vigier in the ribs. He heard something crack, but years of stonewalling prevented any change in expression. He breathlessly ordered a few wolves to follow the deer as it died and to bring it back for the pack. The others went back to the camp. All were oblivious to the injury Vigier had received.
Aurora returned from her training late that evening. Vigier, as always brought her her dinner. He never failed to provide for the pack. "Back this early?" he said. Aurora knew he had to keep up the appearance of constant vigilance for the others in the pack.
"I'll go back out after dinner," she replied. She didn't just say it for the sake of appearances. Ever since Brenidje had joined the pack, she elected to give up her time off to watch the skies. She loved watching the stars and it pained her to give up that time to herself, but she hated time with Brenidje even more.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my little workaholic." Aurora heard his voiced and internally cringed.
"Hello, Brenidje," she replied with polite coldness.
"I know you have to work constantly to try to reach such a high goal set by me, but you were supposed to massage my sore muscles after I had such a difficult hunt today," he said smugly.
Aurora seethed inside. She knew he wasn't part of the hunting team. "If this is what having a mate is like," she thought to herself, "I'll go without." She sighed resignedly. She knew that wasn't possible. The others barely respected her as an Alpha to Vigier. She wouldn't be able to run a pack as an Alpha female without an Alpha male. She just wished there was some other prospective Alpha male besides Brenidje. She thought about her planned raid. Hopefully, that will bring more wolves to the Swiftpaw and maybe one of them will be better than Brenidje.
"Ahem. I need a massage," Brenidje growled interrupting her train of thought.
"I'd love to, but I have so much training left to do today," Aurora lied. "After I'm done, I can give you one." She hated submitting to him, but she knew her role in the pack. She gulped down the rest of her dinner and ran off before Brenidje could protest.

Later that night, Aurora returned, exhausted. Brenidje was asleep, as always. So was the rest of the pack. All expect for Vigier. Her grandpa always waited up for her. "How'd it go?" he asked.
"Fine," she replied. She was too tired for much conversation.
Vigier could see how tired she was. "I put down some branches to make your bed a little more comfortable," he said gesturing to the nicely made bed.
"Thanks Grandpa," she replied nuzzling his side. Suddenly she stepped back and looked at him. Something she had done had made him wince. "Are you OK Grandpa?"
"Of course," he replied, putting back on his stoic expression.
Aurora remained unconvinced. She looked over his body and noticed the injured rib. "You hurt yourself hunting." She looked closely at the injury. "Grandpa, this is broken. You should be resting."
"I'm fine. Don't worry about it. I've had worse," he replied, forcing a smile through the pain.
Aurora knew there was nothing she could do to convince him. "Goodnight Grandpa," she replied lying down. "You should go to bed too."
"I'm going," he replied, lying down as well. "Good night."
Exhausted as she was, Aurora was unable to sleep. She was far too worried about her Grandfather. She looked up at the stars. "I know you can't hear me, but I wish there was some way to make Grandpa better." To her amazement, one of the stars brightened, as if in response, and then faded. "Wow," she thought, feeling an unusual feeling of hope. "It was probably just a coincidence," she thought. But it still made her feel much better. She sighed and fell asleep

Pharoah turned to leave and then said to Blade. "I am going to get some sleep, you should do the same." He then went to his cave and fell asleep.
Blade nodded silently but didn't go to his cave to fall asleep, instead, he continued to train. After a few hours passed, Blade was very tired, and so he stopped training and slowly went to the cave in which he slept. He lowered his head slightly so the necklace he always wore would slide off. He then lay down and rested his head on his paws. He wanted so badly to sleep, but sleep would not come. "I just wonder what that spirit wolf meant when she said I was destined for greater things than evil.." He muttered. Suddenly a voice similar to that of the spirit wolf's spoke.
"There is a female, she is part of your past, and your future. Make sure she does not die."

Vigier woke a little before sunrise. "Wow, usually with this kind of injury, the pain keeps me from sleeping well," he thought. "I must be getting used to it. I can barely feel anything." He prepared himself for the sharp pain that would inevitably come from movement and stood up, grunting. To his amazement, there was no pain. He looked down at the wound. It was no longer there. He gently touched the injured rib and then applied more and more force. The rib was completely healed and no longer broken. Vigier was astounded. "Injuries like this in the past took weeks to heal, not hours," he thought. "Something must have happened. Aurora was the first to notice that he was injured. Was it possible that she- No!" he interrupted his train of thought. "It must've been just a minor injury and my pain tolerance is getting worse. Although, Aurora said it was broken."
As his thoughts shifted to Aurora, he looked over at her bed. To his surprise, she was still asleep. "Must be exhausted from working so hard," he thought to himself. "Hopefully after the raid tomorrow, she can relax more. I'll let her sleep today."
Aurora awoke to some clumsy nudging. "You owe me a massage." It was Brenidje. She scowled and looked at the sun. It had risen well above the horizon; she was late for her training.
Attempting to be polite, she put on a little smile. "I'd love to but not right now," she lied, the sweet words bitter in her mouth. "I'm late for training. I must get going." She tried to get up as quickly as possible.
Brenidje pushed her back down and stood over her. "You're always training. Now do my shoulders first," he retorted menacingly.
Aurora was livid. She thought quickly about which part of his body she could hurt the most.
"About time you woke up," Vigier interrupted, scolding Aurora. "You're late. You can waste your own time, but not mine. We're going now," he ordered.
Aurora seized the opportunity to escape from Brenidje and got up quickly. "Sorry, Grandpa, it won't happen again," she apologized as they walked to the training grounds.
Brenidje saw Aurora escape and scowled. "I'm coming too," he said cockily.
"NO!" Vigier and Aurora said in unison. They both knew how much Aurora wanted to get away from him. "We have to plan for tomorrow's raid and because of her laziness, we can't afford any interruptions," Vigier explained.
"Well, I'm going on the raid too and my plans are better than anything you can come up with," Brenidje retorted.
Aurora had enough. She charged Brenidje knocking him off his feet. She stood over him menacingly. "I've done enough to hamper our plans already. You're not in charge and you need to know your place," she snarled.
Brenidje cowed in fear, slowly got up and walked off. "You're a *****, Aurora," he yelled as they walked away.
Aurora steamed. "I hate him. Why do we have to keep him around?" she whined to her grandpa.
"You know what has to be done Aurora," he chided gently. "I don't like him either, but hopefully he'll come around."
Aurora sighed. She realised how late it was and felt guilty and disappointed in herself. "I'm so sorry for oversleeping," she apologized again. "And thanks for running him off."
"No problem Aurora," Vigier replied nuzzling her. "You've been working so hard, you deserve to sleep in. I only said those things to run Brenidje off." Absentmindly, he asked, "By the way, what did you do yesterday?"
"What for training? Just the usual," Aurora replied confused.
"No, the rib," he replied.
"What?" Aurora didn't understand. She thought about his broken rib. "You know, you should be resting. That thing needs to get better."
"It's fine Aurora," he replied. "Just forget I asked anything. We should get to work on the plans for the raid."
"The plans are all in place," she replied proudly. She knew this raid was her chance to show how good of a leader she was. "We'll enter as the guard changes. I've scouted three exits, one of which we'll only use in an emergency. It's a small hole in the side of the lair that I don't think even Pharoah knows about. It can only fit one at a time, but we can collapse the surrounding structure easily and so we can block any pursuers."
"You've certainly got it all planned out," Vigier said smiling. "Just be careful. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you." He hugged her.
"I will, Grandpa," she said, "Don't worry." She hugged him back gently, trying to avoid the uninjured rib.
"Now I'll let you get back to training. I'll mandate rest so you can get a good night's sleep without having to worry about Brenidje."
"Thanks. I love you, Grandpa," she replied happily as she began agility practice.
"I love you too, Aurora," he replied proudly, watching his daughter recede into the distance.

Aurora's tackle surprised Brenidje. "I can't believe her," he thought angrily as he walked. "How dare she tackle me? I can't wait to see the look on her face as Pharoah tortures her to death. Maybe he'll let me help."
He passed through darker and darker territory until he came to Pharoah's lair. "Let's see how well your little raid goes now," he chuckled to himself, going over the plans in his mind so Pharoah wouldn't miss a single detail.

ooc: Sorry about the cursing, but I felt like Brenidje's character needed it. I don't plan on using it anymore.

Blade awoke after the sun was high in the sky, he was very tired for he did not get much sleep. He yawned and stretched before getting up and shaking the dust from his fur. "Pharoah is going to be mad, I've slept in.." He muttered before exiting the cave. The sunlight blinded him for a few seconds, but soon his eyes adjusted to the light and he could see properly. He arrived at the training area, and to his surprise, Pharoah wasn't there. "Where is he?..Maybe he had something better to do." Said Blade, closing his tired eyes for a few seconds as he inhaled then exhaled slowly. "I sense something is going to happen, something that will reunite me with someone.."

ooc: You may start the raid now if you want. Also, if you're wondering what Blade's powers are..He has the ability to see parts of the future and he can lift objects using only his mind. And if you're wondering what the black necklace can do...You'll find out later :P .
