When Duke had lefted Sitka alone, Mystery trotted back up to the dog whom was in trouble. "Sitka... why did you fall asleep?" the saluki asked, a pleeding looking in her eyes. She had always wanted to give the dog another chance, but she knew this time she couldn't cinvince Duke to have Sita keep his positon in the pack. Mystery sighed heavily, certianly not contently. She layed down softly besdie Sitka. She growled a bit when Danielle barged in.

Temple's ears pirked up when she saw the large male dog padding over to her. She smiled happily as she was nuzzled by her most favorite dog in the whole world. She listened carefully to his words, loving his voice. "Duke, why not just give another dog his positon? I'm sure another dog in the pack would be grateful to have a positon." she soothed.

Beau continued trotting down the empthy sidewalk, not a single eye seemed to be peering at him. He raised his eyebrow. How odd. He then turned down into an alley, and sniffed around the dumpster. He found a small piece of a hamburger and snapped it up. He then carefully jumped onto the dumpster, hoping no humans heard him.

Riley growled again, and starred Tango in the eye for a few more brief moments, before turning away in disgust of the other canine. He crept towards a pile of ripped up towels that he always used for a bed, and circled a few times on them before plopping down in the middle of them, sighing. He closed on of his eyes as his head rested on his head, though one eye stayed open, watching Tango carefully

Ash sighed, then smiled, but it was phony, but hoped it wasn't very clear to the delicate female whom was currently standing in front of him. "Uhh well, no I'm fine... I uh just had an uh.... bad night sleep! Yeah, a really bad night sleep." The heeler said, and smiled again.

"I didn;t mean to," Sitka said quickly, annoyed with himself and the way he could mess up anything. He sighed heavily. "I just don't want to be shoved out on the streets on my own again." Just then, Danielle came up to them and sat beside Sitka. "Yeah, I know," Sitka said saddly, looking at his paws. "Maybe there's somewhere I can make it up to him and the rest of the pack. But I can barely do what Duke wants me to let alone something extra."

"Maybe if you just do as Duke tells you to, you wouldn't have this problem," Danielle said, speaking truthfully as always. She had a way of always saying what's true whether you want to hear it or not. It seemed almost impossible for her to lie. Even a little white lie. "Just try to do well on the next thing that Duke assign's you, since I guess your not going to be on guard duty anymore."

"Thats what I plan on doing," Duke said with a loving smile at his mate. He turned stern again as he talked about Sitka. "I've already informed him that he is permenantly removed from night gaurd duty. I just have to find some other dog to take the position and find something else for that shepherd to do that he won't mess up."

Lily started walking back up the side walk, but Beau was long gone. She sniffed at the ground and was about the follow, but realized that he snuck out to be alone. She sighed, not really wanting to go back herself. She wondered across the street and down that side of the side walk, looking for something interesting to do.

Tango glared at Riley as he walked away. He turned away from where Riley laid down, but found that he really had no place to go. He was about to sit down when he realized he was pretty hungry. He trotted passed Danielle, Mystery, and Sitka as he went out the gate. He would be sure to bring something back for the group, as was the rule when you went scavanging on your own. He caught to sents of lily and Beau. He wondered where they had gone and debated going to find them or not.

Sissy raised an eyebrow at Ash. "Do you really think you're that great of an actor?" she asked him skeptically. She sighed. "What's really the matter? I know it was more than just a bad nights sleep"

Mystery sighed for Sitka, holding deep sympothy for the dog in front of her. "Aw Sitka, you dodn't need to do anything! Your alrady a great dog, and if Duke doesn't want you in his pack, I'm sure a human or another rival pacj will." The saluki said. To her dismay, she found herself nodding in agreement with Danielle.

Temple smiled. "And which dog were you thinking off to be the replacement for the night guard?" The while australian shepherd said, nuzzleing her mate once more. She pulled away and looking lovingly up at Duke.

Once Beau was perched up on top of the dumpster, he jumped onto an appertment porch.

Ash sighed. "Its, nothing, really."

"Maybe I'll find something I;m good at," Sitka said with a shrug as he stood up. "You wanna go get something to eat," he asked Mystery and Danielle, nodding his head towards the entrance. "Maybe if a bring something realy nice back, Duke'll go easy on me."

Dani smiled kindly. She really wanted to get out of this alleyway to. She nodded as she stood up too. "That sounds great," she said.

"Maybe I'll give it to Tango," Duke suggested with s mall smile. "I'm sure we could all do with a good nights sleep. If he's awake, maybe he want make such a roucus while he's asleep." He glanced over at the Doberman just as he was leaving.

Tango trotted up the sidewalke, following Lily's and Beau's trail. He had a feelings that the dalmation was mad at him for some reason. It seemed whenever he was with Jemimah, Beau gave Tango the cold shoulder. He wanted to know hat Beau's problem and followed after his scent.

Lily eventaully found small alley way with freshly put out garbage. She gently knocked over one of the fuller cans and buried her nose in it, looking for something edible.

"Come one," Sissy persisted. "I;m your best friend and deserve to know what's bothering you so much."

Mystery nodded cheerfully, agreeing and comitting to come with Sitka on his offer to go 'hunting' for food with him. She looked back over her shouldar at Duke, before padding out the alley exit, out into the open.

Temple nodded in agreement. "That would be a smart idea... then again, any choice you would make would be smart." The australian shepherd said and smiled, pleased with her comment on the brute in front of her.

Beau then found himself on top of an appertment building roof. He jumped down, onto a humans porch. He found a pot of flowers and he gently pushed it with his nose, making the pt fall and break.

Ash sighed. "A best friend wouldn't be so pushy."

Sitka glanced at Duke with a scared look on his face before following Mystery out of the alley.

"So, where to?" Danielle asked, padding out of the alley behind Sitka.

Duke smiled warmly at Temple. She always made him feel so confident. He looked around for Tango, but found hiom missing. "I'll tell him when he gerts back," he said as he concluded his search of the alley with his eyes.

Tango kept his nose to the grpund as he followed Beau's scent. He looked up to an apartment porch when a flower pot nearly fell on his head. "What are you doing up there?" he barked up to Beau.

Lily smashed open a white take-out box ad sniffed inside. It was a half eaten chicken breat and a potato that wasn't much more than skins. Lily started on the potato skins, and some of the chicken, before deciding to take the rest back to the alley.

"Yes, actually, they are when their best friend won't say what's bothering them," Sissy said.

Mystery glanced at Sitka, waiting for the awnser. She stopped and sat on her haunces.

Temple nodded. "Lets hope he went on a hunt." she said, turning to look at the enterance of the alley. "The dogs'll be wailing for breakfeast soon." she recalled.

Beau ignored Tango. He leaped back up onto the roof, and back down to the dumpter. He bit the pot when he got to the ground and flung it another direction. He then started pawing softly thrrew the dirt.

Ash growled.

"Just, where ever, I guess," Sitka said, not really knowing which way to go.

"It looks like most of the dogs went out hunting on their own," Duke said, seeing how empty the alley was becoming.

Tango looked at Beau curiously. "What are you doing?" he repeated.

Lily padded back into the alley with her findings.

Sissy sighed. "Why can't you just tell me," she pleaded.

"Your the leader." Mystery said, and turned her head towards him again.

"Your right." Temple said. "Shall we aswell?"

Beau ignored him again. He picked up a single flower out of the pot.

"I;M SICK OF THIS LIFE!" Ash yelped.

"Why can go find some alley to sniff around in, Danielle suggested.

Sitka nodded. "Sounds good to me." He started to pad down the street.

"ONly if you want to," Duke said.

Tango gave an annoyed sigh. "Is there a reason you won't talk to me?"

Sissy's ears flew back, but she stood firm. "What do you mean?" she asked tentavly.
