I thought that you can't really own a render unless you made it yourself?

Thats the point. Me and Saske made the renders entriely by ourselves and Lone Grey Wolf decided he would open a render request topic and just recolor our renders to make buisness on there. Stealing.

OH and! You can always slighty shrink your render so when they try to colour over it, it would look really messy Lol

Or save it in Jpg. Always messy.

but the .jpg version ruins the colors, like reds

Agree, .jpg is not really a good format for a fan art or image. A .png is much better.

infact I always save my work, even the drawing in .png but, obviusly, .ong are easier to recolor D:

f you have photoshop or simply just use pixlr you can blur it a bit. It looks good but still stops people from stealing ;)

What about watermarking artwork and images?

If you have GIMP, Photofiltre, --any program that uses opacity, really-- etc., you can just add dilluted text over your work. That way, if the image/art is stolen, it's obvious that it was stolen.

But reporting is always the best optoin to get the job done(so to speak).

Yeah but can some people be dumb enough to take off the watercolor of your username on there?

If you have Photoshop of GIMP (GIMP is free, so no whining about "BUT I CANT DO THIS METHOD!!!11!") use the default brush tool instead of pencil. I tried pencil tool and my renders were getting stolen left and right. They still are but I check fan images every day so I usually know within the hour if one of my renders or someone else's renders gets stolen (I can recognize styles.)
